I've messed around with one for a few years now but I was never quite satisfied with it. I'm on like V7 I believe. Originally, I thought I could just sub root beer for the cola in my Coke Float, but it was never right. The root beer float I make nowadays has a hint of FA Madagascar, more vanilla ice cream & a little less malted milk than the Coke Float. They both use 2% TFA Sweet Cream too. One of these days I hope to feel good enough about it to share it. :)

I also figured it would be fairly simple to do a root beer float. I've only tried once. Used FW Root Beer, and I'm not fond of it.

Which root beer flavors have you tried? Have you found one that actually tastes like root beer?

I'm using FW also (5%), but I'm not sure that flavor is actually the problem. I see it has 4 stars on ELR & to be honest, I only have it because it was parts of some freebies I got with an order last year, I was thinking of checking out CAP or FLV's but a lot of folks seem to like the FW so I figured I'm probably just over thinking it & making it harder than it should be lol!

Wayne Walker's recipe for Root Beer Float, from YT:

Root Beer (Flv) 5%
Super Sweet (Cap) 0.25%
Vanilla Bean (Flv) 0.5%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (FW) 1.75%

I'd be amazed if 5% of Flv Root Beer is actually needed, but that's his recipe. Flv says mix at 1%-5% in single flavor, but then there's a review on their website that says 2% is plenty as a single flavor. Going by that, I'd guess with creams, maybe 3-3.5% tops. I'm not going to buy Flv Root Beer to find out, though.

Might try the guts of this, adapted to flavors I have, for example maybe 5% of FW Root Beer and 1.5% of TFA Vanilla Swirl. I have the other two flavors.

Thanks, it’s just I alway liked root beer more than coke. Are you going to mix a whole bunch of juice for New Year?

Maybe try EM instead of SS? Or would that make it too marshmallow-y?

Speaking for myself, I regularly make subs of sweeteners. I'd use marshmallow instead of super sweet or FW sweetener or EM, just because I prefer marshmallow in most recipes (but not all). Just start low and work up.

I really have very little experience with EM, found out early on that I like marshmallow better.

Even if EM is marshmallow-y, nothing wrong with that in a root beer float!

I only got some last week, and I added a drop or two to 60ml. I only wanted to see how it was. Haze recommended marshmallow as sweetener, too.
I bought the EM thinking it was the same thing basically. So now I’ll just try marshmallow.

I just ordered some TFA Smooth, too.

If you have to order marshmallow, you won't go wrong with FlavourArt.

Thanks, N. I’ll be ordering more next month. I placed an order with BCF today for the sale, but I only bought a couple of flavors. But one was a MB one shot called Baylis.

Nutty Coconut, diy, YUM!

Just discovered this gets even yummier if I reduce wattage. It's in a Dvarw DL clone, coil at 0.59 ohms, 24ga N80 round, I lowered watts from 32 to 26.5. Any lower and flavor starts to fade, but right there at 26.5 is a sweet spot!

Got to say I think I got a bad batch.... Very runny and while it has cloud production, it gurgles and almost fizzes for the first 5-10 hits then seems to be ok for the other 3-4ML in a tank... Flavor is muted but you can taste the strawberry.... Hoping the other 120's I got of this is not that way...

They’ve been out of it for a while. Did you just get it? Maybe they changed the flavor, or the company they buy it from did.

No I bought an insane amount back in October before the DC Rally.... Still have like twelve 120ml bottles and almost thirty 60ml bottles from The SauceLA... That's after 2 months worth I have already went through of like 16 different flavors.... The last bottle of Young Napoleon was fine. So I am just hoping it is one bad bottle...

That could be it. Or it muted somehow. I have dozens of bottles hanging around, too. Hope they’ll be okay.

I'm getting glassware cleaned, organized & labeled now, but yeah, I'm due to mix in January, so probably within the next couple of weeks. It'll be a nice mix of my own favorites & others' as well.

Looks like it will be 19 15-ml testers, or works-in-progress (7 new originals) & 15 60-ml of familiar favorites (8 originals).

Mixture of Christmas Lights and Dubble Bubble

Just happened to think this morning - pink bubble gum has all the no-nos for non-glass tanks (cinnamon, citrus, mint), and here I have put it in the tank of one of the Mercury AIOs. That tank is of unknown composition, but it certainly isn't glass. I do not need it to crack, so am trying to vape it dry so I can put something else in.

It's unbelievable how long 2ml of juice lasts at 12W. I've been vaping on this thing off and on all day!
