1575388625899-934278063.jpg 1575388625899-934278063.jpg I have a Ijoy combo that looks great on my Vindicator clone. The exeption is the logo printed in black on the top cap. I would like to remove this logo without damaging the stainless so I can shine her up real pretty. Any sugestions? It appears to be just printing and not etched into the cap. Maybe a Scotch bright or steel wool followed by a good stainless polish? I just do not want to scratch or dull the metal during the process. What do you think?

bench grinder and put a polishing head on it.
and use polishing compound..
you could even use a Dremel yet ONLY with polish head and Polish compound.

you do not want to Scratch or gouge that thing and its easy to do with
higher speeds an a course type abrasive

was talking to a buddy the other day about polishing his symbols
{ em's a weekend drummer }
anyway we came up with a diy symbol spinner using da drill and polish compound..
worked like a million bucks.

you can use the same polishing compound and micro fiber and good old effort but the most effective is the dremmel at low speeds/.

Start with 800 g sandpaper , go to 1000 g , then 1500 g . If you want the polished look go to 2000 , finish it with a polishing compound. Not hard to do by hand . Hope this helps .

if you can borrow a drill, and some small but long bolt nut and a few small washers. put tape on the cap where the washers will touch.
fit them up then put it in a drill. doing it this way will make it go a lot faster and a better finish. when starting with the rougher grit, go easy, just enough to remove the lettering. then as you go with finer grits, you can tighten up your gripe. then if you want to polish it, use a wash cloth and tooth paste

This is exactly what ya need to do. You can find high-grit sandpaper at an automotive store, most hardware stores don’t carry it. My only suggestion is to use a microfiber towel with the polishing compound.

But you’ve been warned: you might have to go through the same process with the Vindicator clone if you want their finishes to match. Cause once you’re done the cap will probably be shinier than it was in the beginning.

Oh yeah that makes perfect sence. But you know I like this mod so much that it would be worth the time and effort. Jwill blessed me with a real winner. Now after I get the finish done all I need is to work on the CC switch and viola a perfect set up. Thank you for your input and suggestion. Merry Christmas and have a blessed New Year.
