WTH? I ordered some coils from Element. Ive been ordering from them for almost a year now.
They gave me a refund for an out of stock Yihi, and mailed the other items.
USPS says they couldn’t deliver it, since no one was home to receive it!!
My mail guy knows me. Is this some bollix connected with vape mail and bans? I’m fuming! Rant ended.

Unfortunately that is likely to be come the norm for vapemail.

Insert cursing here. I let my ID expire. Piss off, big govt. We were doing fine without you.

Crap. I may need someone to send me plug n play coils. Not the happy beginning to the celebration of my day of birth.

Hate to say it, but with the way things are headed learning to be self sufficient is going to be how we survive and continue vaping. Honestly @Rhianne once you wrap a piece of wire around the rod you will wonder why you waited so long. Check that box of stuff I sent, I may have put a coiling tool in there. I'm almost sure I put some wire in there with the cotton. Pull up a you tube video for a plain round wire wrap. It really is easy.

I wish you the best in all of that. Its a rough spot to be in. For the adults and kids.
Thank you. We didn’t really talk much afterwards, kinda puts you in an odd place
Omg, I so hope it all turns out okay. It sounds like really serious counseling. I’m praying for you and the family.
Thanks love! It was weird being near eachother afterwards. The questions kind of just throw everything out there and it makes things worse until you can get better

Exactly! Not hard to do at all- nice that you sent her all that stuff to use and to be able to keep vaping.
Plus I wouldn't buy a sub tank that didn't come with an RBA or an RBA that I could buy for it- what good are these factory coils tanks when you can't get the coils to make them work?

I've not been asked to show my ID, but I also don't look anywhere close to 21 and we've had the same mail lady for over a decade.

I have never been asked to show my ID either when I have had to sign for packages- one look and they know I am OLD enough- lol!

This is one of the things I am most thankful to VU for, teaching me how to be self-sufficient in my vaping habits. When I came here, if Nautilus coils had gone, or pre-mixed juice had been impossible to get, I'd have been shit out of luck. Moreover, I wouldn't have seen it coming.

Over the course of a year I switched everything from regulated mods, factory-made coils, and store-bought juice to a much more sustainable mix of mechs and regulateds, all rebuildables (with one single exception that is still in rotation), and all DIY.

NONE of it has been hard. The hardest part was getting past my own resistance and lack of confidence. One thing you do have to be willing to do, here in front of everybody, is fall in the ditch from time to time. No vaper who is new at mixing or building is going to do everything right all the time. By and large this community is extremely tolerant and helpful as long as a member isn't arrogant about fucking up! It happens, it surely does, to everybody, no matter where along the way we are.

Just don't blow yer face off. :teehee:

Thanks :) I did also put a little old school velocity rda in there too. I was trying to see what I had that would be the easiest and I remember that was the RDA I first learned to build on. Figured it would not be too scary for her. :( I do hope she gives it a try at some point, as we ALL know it. We ALL went through it and once we did it...........Hey, that was easy!! lol

I do hope Rhianne tries out the velocity deck you sent her- she has a few squonks that were given to her and very easy to build and wick an RDA and be able to keep vaping.
Yes we have all been there- I knew that if I wanted to keep vaping I had to learn these things and the forum is a great help!
You Tube tutorials are a big help to me too- I sat and built and wicked my 1st RTA- the OBS Engine dual, watching You Tube lol!
I learned how to wrap my own batteries, watching You Tube- lol!
I still watch You Tube for gear I am interested in or how to operate or how to build and wick. Am I an expert on all things vaping- NO, but I know enough to be able to keep me vaping into the future.

Youtube is how I learned lots about vaping.
Then on various vaping boards, lurking for quite a while before joining any.
Vaping is for most a self learning thing.
I sill have no one around me locally that I can get vaping advise from.
Any vape shop I go in just wants to sell me a Smok mod and lots of juice.

Oh yes, you tube has been a god send for me also!

Me too. And I almost always look for a review to see how the building and wicking is done on an RDA before I buy the first one of a style. There are some out there that I don't even attempt, like that EHPro Lock. I can see myself just making a total mess of that.

Oh I think that is this guy? I like it and really not too hard to build. Just need to keep the coil a bit smaller to clear those metal clamps that the weird type coil that comes with it "locks" into. Hated that coil. But the RDA with a normal coil in it is pretty nice.

I broke 1 changing it out. They are pretty fragile.
new wasps come with the non squonk pin installed and I was setting them up for use. I only keep one wasp with non squonk pin for testing new mixes and such.
I do not drip as a rule. Too much hassle when one can squonk.
I keep about 6 wasps ready to go in my atty stand. So a quick swap out and go.
I just got a white one. Haven't built it yet.

Well, I'm glad to hear you say that, because I love the way that RDA looks and I wanted one some kinda bad. When I went to watch the review and how to build it, though, I just sorta fell over and thought, no way will I ever get that to work!

Do you make extra wraps at each coil end or anything? I'd thought maybe that would help the coil keep its shape from being pressed down into those clips...

Vaping in my office while, 20 feet away, there's a nicotine cessation course going on in the conference room.

Ssshhh...you are vaping in your office? Are you living dangerously today?

I am just waiting, after all this mess that's been in the news, for someone to come to me and say something about the vape rig that's been sitting on my desk for the last eight years. I'm going to tell them, if you didn't know it was there before, you sure as hell weren't bothered by it, so why bother me now?

Like Mama said, life is just not fair.

Yep, that was it....................https://vapenw.com/collections/fron...ild-free-24mm-rda?_pos=1&_sid=050bfc5fe&_ss=r

Oh crap, they are sold out............:(

It is a slightly RDL but you can close it down even more. Not MTL though, or not imo anyway. Nice flavor.

Well rats. That sucks. Maybe I'll run across one somewhere else over time. I'll know to grab it if I do. Thanks Deb!
Ya, I'm sorry :( I looked at vapecrawler too and cheapest they have is Fasttech at $21.. I mean it's a nice RDA but I don't think I would pay $20 for one. That's just me though and I'm a cheap ol biddy LOL

Just the black in stock https://www.fasttech.com/products/3028/10018970/9661753

You are not alone. I like nice stuff that doesn't cost much! Not into the Mine-Cost-More-Than-Yours thing. :)

Thanks, Deb. You put everything I need in there. As it turns out, they shipped my stuff the way that requires a signature, for some reason. I think that they were trying to be nice since they sent it for free. I’ll have some gray hairs now from this, though!

I’m focusing on mixing now, and figured I had enough time to learn building and mixing by May. At least, I’m getting an ohm reader from Bx10r soon. I knew this was in my future, just not this month!

I know what you mean. I’m so sorry this is happening to you both. Hang in there, and try not to dwell on it, it won’t help things.

It’s amplifying things for you both that used to be normal everyday stuff. I’m bummed about this and I hope it straightens out.:hug:

Actually if you can’t get them, they’re useless. I just couldn’t open my Recurve. Wth, these things seal up or something?

Me too love. I’m petrified because he told me outright if he decides to go through with a divorce, he’s throwing me out on the streets...

That’s love right? :wait:

But thank you for being so supportive and kind!:hug:<3

Sheesh, my mailman knows me! He’s signed for me when he feels like it. Whatever. I’m gonna figure out the wick/wire thing but use my sub ohm tanks for now until I’ve got the hang of it.
It’s what I figured I should do anyway. I see how much bans will truly suck if they go through now, though.

Sometimes caps can be hard to get off, especially if they haven't been removed for a while. Put the RDA on a mod, tighten it down, then grab the cap and try rocking it back and forth a little as you pull up. If you can get it lifted even a little, after that a butter knife blade makes a good lever to move around the cap and lift it enough to be able to get it the rest of the way off with your hand. You can put a piece of folded paper towel between the knife and your mod, so the mod won't get scratched.

After you have that happen, put some eliquid around the o-rings on the RDA deck, so next time the cap won't be so hard to take off.
