Let's talk about those mods, attys, drip tips that we have love/hate relationships with.

Mine is the Asmodus C4. I love the flavor this puts out but the drip tip is god awful ugly. It looks like they ran out of materials and just glued scraps together.
I've tried other 810 drip tips and none of them match the flavor this one delivers so I'm rather stuck with.
Oh, and the RDA itself? Red with gold and silver? It's a little ugly but in my opinion the flavor is better than the Recurve or the Wasp Nano.

So what do you hate to love?

My AugVape Intake Dual. Like the size. Didn't think I would, but I like the little, shorty drip tip. Easy to build and super-easy to wick. Produces seriously dense, flavourful vapes. But if I even partially snug the top down it's a bear to remove for refilling. I've had to take pliers/wrenches to it several times. It has the marks to show it :(. And the airflow is just bearly >< tolerable for me.

The Smok TFV16 tank that came with my Mag P3 mod. Works well, size-wise, on the mod with which it was included. Holds a ton of juice. Produces a very flavourful vape. New coils break in very quickly, though they taste like hell the first 3-4 vapes. Produces voluminous dense clouds at surprisingly low wattages. But the build/machining quality leaves something to be desired. The fill port gasket on mine will bind, to the point of not being able to close the top--and being ruined if you try too hard, unless it's well-lubricated. Lastly: At least the two coils I've tried so far, it's a bit prone to flooding and leaking.

My Sigelei Kaos Z mod. This one's much more love than hate. It works well. Great size. Apparently reasonably well-built, as it hit the garage floor from a height of 37" - the door flying off, the batteries taking flight and the tank coming apart because the coil snapped. Yet it survived. (Thank God it landed on a piece of carpeting.) But you can't read the display in even moderately bright light and wattage changes are a PITA because it scrolls way too fast.

now that you mention it, i have a few that not only do exactly this. but they actually tighten themselves down even further.

scrolling fast, yeah, wtf is that.. i don't need to go from 5w to 200w in 2 seconds.

Pretty much everything vape related that has existed and no longer does, exists presently and may exist in the future.

For me it's the Tesla punk mini. For a single battery mod that thing is unnecessarily heavy. And the stupid battery door that is so freakin difficult to work with, but such a nice looking mod

The No Fear by No Name is my number one hate/love attie

Love: tiny deck, drains perfectly for squonking, easy to build, flavor and vapor are out of this world

Hate: over squonks in a heartbeat, drains too well, only one vape per squeeze; cap gets hot as fuck and no aftermarket ultem or whatever to stop the scorching. Adding a the worlds stumpiest DT is only remedy - adding anything of a more regular size DT mutes the flavor hard core

I wonder why the Nano, which should be smaller than a Mini imo, is a dual cell mod. Just saying,

I’ll throw my hat in the ring with the gasmods gr-1. Tiny rda that gives amazing flavor but if not built right will spit hot juice and the drip tip is tiny so it can also get hot. When done right it’s great, but when it’s not right it turns into a fire spitting beast that try’s to melt my lips to it so I can never vape another. Beware

My orchid is a piece of shit! It was the first thing I bought after trying out juul like the trend and it was great at first! I loved how small it is, that I can see the display even in the sunlight, but a small piece of plastic that’s supposed to hold the pod in snapped off and the only way to keep pods in now is by using hair ties! Apparently it happens to everyone’s orchids but yet they still have good reviews.

So reviewers who only focus on the positive are another hate. They aren’t doing anyone any good, either.

A lot of people like the Pasito here, and you could’ve gotten one of those instead.

My demon killer tiny mod and rda. It's so tiny it's perfect but it's a pita to build and then you have to be careful you don't drip too much. I love its tiny size but with it comes problems related to the tiny size. Guess you can't have it all.

I was a complete newb several months ago. Was told the orchid was so great and whatnot so I went with it. It’s a pos. I still use it for a quick nic salt fix if I feel I need it since it’s 50mg, but otherwise it just sits on my shelf collecting dust. But I don’t want to throw it away yet

The luna squonk. Love the mod. Hate the bottle system. Either have to pull and pry and fight to get the bottle out. I used a refill bottle. But if by some chance you wanna change juice its almost impossible to not make a mess.

yeah, it wouldn't squonk. took out the bottle, pinch the tube, squeeze = air comes out where cap and botttle touch. both of them.
but i think i have an easy fix, just haven't tried it yet.

I know a lot of people have them here and like them or whatever. In terms or performance, from what I've read are similar to one of my favorite squonk mods. I have a bunch of Aspire Feedlinks already, so I had no reason to try the Luna. That was my thinking anyways. The wood frames look cool and all but I'm not really attracted enough to order one..

Sorry to hear about the bottle issues. Feedlink uses a sled and bottles with a metal rod that work pretty good. If pressed too hard and held, there can be some leakage though.

You probably already know all this, and have a Feedlink. Do they perform similarly enough that I'm not missing out on anything?

As Frank said the feedlink is nice. Ive had one and traded JuicyLucy back when she was getting rid if her wooden mods. The Luna is about the same. The wood is the selling point there. But i do like the sled on the feedlink a lot better than the luna setup. And the tank for the feedlink isnt bad at all. Not sure how available the coils actually are but its a stronger vape than i anticipated.

the wood is the selling point and well, the price. i have a blue recurve on a pulse. but it leaks because the pulse 510 is very narrow. the feedlink is very wide. and both are the same bright blue, so .........

@MrMeowgi my husband was nice enough to share a small pair of channel locks with me a while back. They do a great job getting that Luna bottle out, just pinch one side with the pliers and tug it down a short distance. I'm hoping after I remove the bottle a few times it will get a little easier.

Luna sure seems to go through batteries quickly, too. Already I have a love hate relationship with mine.

For me it's the original ammit rta. Loved the 3d airflow, flavor was good. Roomy single coil rta. Cons, designed by a complete moron. Posts jammed up tight to the chamber walls so even cutting the leads flush didn't necessarily prevent shorting (and arcing). Almost had to trim them close, loosen the screws a bit then ever so carefully wiggle the coil back so the leads were just shy of the post backsides. But not so far that the screws wouldn't catch. Then of course wicking was a pain in the ass, big juice wells, big juice slots and only tiny holes between them. So it either leaked or a couple strands of cotton would poke into the holes and clog it up. The top cap was a royal pain. Looked nice, smooth finish but nothing to grab onto. Instead of the fill cap coming loose it invariably would separate at the middle of the chimney. So instead of topping off juice the center would come apart, glass would come loose and juice pissed everywhere. The orings were getting worn so I replaced them, then it started vapor locking on me.

It's not even about qc, it's as if they don't run one or two of these things off and actually try them, use them and see where the problems are. Either that or non vapers build this shit. Geekvape pissed me off with that shit. I'd probably be better off with vape gear made by GeekSquad.

carefull not to pinch a hole in it.

my battery lasts a pretty long time. i don't time it. but i find it not to be abnormal.

Seems like GV must be a company of extremes. The items they manufacture are either exceptional or they're total shit.

GV Ammit MTL RDA is completely unvapeable to me. I spent 6 years vaping MTL, but my god, that Ammit RDA tried to give me lockjaw. From that piece of shit to the Zeus X? It just doesn't make any sense.

Overall, I'm a fan of theirs, but I've hesitated to branch out into a wide variety of their items, like the Blitzen or Ammit RTAs or the Aegis Mini and Solo, because they do have that inconsistency. I have Aegis Legend, Nova, and Athena mods, Illusion Mini sub-ohm tanks, an Eagle and all three kinds of Zeus RTAs, so was lucky enough with everything except for that pitiful Ammit. Nova isn't up to snuff when you compare it to the Aegis line, but it's been reliable and works ok, fit and finish aren't terrible. Feels like holding a very lightweight brick, though. The shape of it and the edginess of it aren't great.

Do want to break down one of these days and buy a Griffin Mini RTA before they're completely impossible to find.

The only issue I have with an original Ammit RTA is the black one is a bit snug to turn, to open up juice flow. Aside from that, they've been great. I use them on Pico mods, take 2 to work everyday.

No issues at all with my Luna. Bottle pops in and out on first go.

Tried an Ammit 25, no matter what I do, it just leaks. Flavor was fantastic, extension held about 5 mls til it poured all over the place, every time, no matter what wicking method I tried. My Merlin was the same. Incredible flavor, super easy to build, fell in love with it, then it just wouldn't stop leaking.

Regular Merlin or Mini? I only have one, it's a Mini, but it never leaks. @The Cromwell might be able to give some pointers on the regular Merlin, I think he uses them all the time. I LOVE my Merlin Mini.

It was the regular one. I tried so many different methods, nothing worked out. They had som QC issues, a lot of people had the same thing. It was love or hate for a lot of people.

New love/hate. My relationship with Vaporrange. I hate to even say that. Over the last 6 to 9 months, half the stuff I've tried to get was OOS, but I never know that til I get my shipping notification. It's always something small, too, but still, something I really want, or need. Sigh... meh.

On the OG merlin you have to keep the wicking from touching the posts.
Still gots a bit of dribble that I would dump when filling but if I did that none came out.
I really think that is spitback down the air hole if you do not have the reducer in there. With the reducer no dribble.
Lucy uses the reducer and no dribble or leak complaints from her.

Bellus,, she is possessed by demons! I piffed her away to a guy who says he locks her out of the house at night.

My smm serpent is extremely tasty,, but a nightmare to change the coils because my glass doesn't release easily,, bought new glass after breaking the original,, its still a pia- so it doesn't get much use.

I never understood the popularity of those very short tips. Overtime I have gotten over the general thickness... But not the shortness of them. Color scheme can be very attractive or god aweful ugly

I like ming shaped tips for both mtl & dl,,, the vapor swirls in the tip concentrating before I taste it

UD Bellus? One of the originals, or v2? The one I have downstairs in my old vape gear box I think is an original. I don't recall that one being particularly problematical? I mean, for a bottom-airflow RTA, anyway. (I shun those now.)

Old bottom airflow tanks that don't leak?
Subtank Mini V2 with RBA deck. Been vaping one daily for over 4 years now. Only a couple of leak episodes and those were my bad wicking.
Can leave full on an atty stand for months and nary a dribble.

Now another matter entirely with the factory coils. I think I only used 3 or 4 of them and did not like them.

Mine had a beauty ring,, more trouble than its worth,, now I double check for that detail,,, a good atty should never need a beauty ring to cover up a measurement problem.
