need some advice and or help.

I recently started vaping and got a SMOK mag as it was cheap. I bought some spre coils (tfv12 t10's) in addition to the Q4 and T10 I got with my tfv12 prince tank. now I was using the q4's and they were great. lovely flavour and really nice cool fresh pulls. as I vape pretty often the coil tasted a little off after a week so I decided to swap the q4 out for a t10. I primed the coil left for about 20 minutes whilst I did some stuff. now im not sure if all t10's do this but the first pull each morning or so is fine but after about 3-4 my mout5h feels like someone sucked all the moisture out. drinking some water helps this but I have to take a sip with each pull or it just feel like bland air taking every bit of saliva out of my mouth. is this just a dud coil or is there something wrong?

coil is rated @0.2ohms
mod shows 0.29ohms
70/30 vg/pg juices (all were fine before)

thanks

When I vape my mouth gets really dry too. I always keep a drink near me for that reason.

I don’t know if any other members here have the same issue or not.

thanks I was just wondering. I mean it didn't happen with the last coil and its really horrible. completely putting me off vaping and making me want to start smoking again. I might change the coil again later and just see if it is a dud coil or not.

*edit* thinking on it. I have either a very severe cold or the flu. a friend said that it might be the flu m,aking me have a cotton mouth and dehydration. so will just keep at it until that clears.

Vaping will dry out your tongue. Your olfactory senses will also become accustomed to whatever flavour you're vaping and the "taste" will dull or disappear. These two effects, together, are referred to as "vaper's fatigue." (Also frequently, and incorrectly, referred to as "vaper's tongue.")

Solutions are to switch flavours--usually to something radically different than what you had been vaping; vape straight, unflavoured juice (it has a slightly sweet taste), or stop vaping entirely for a day or so. The dry tongue can be mitigated by keeping your mouth hydrated. Water will usually do it.

Sometimes bumping the heat a bit will overcome the problem, but then the taste fades again, so you bump it again, ... This leads to the early demise of coils.

I've got a juice, Element Frost, I bought when vaper's fatigue hit me the first time. Serious menthol with a hint of sweetness. If I can taste nothing else, I can sure taste that! Another that works well for me is Naked Brain Freeze. A fruity juice with a touch of menthol.

One of the ways to forestall vaper's fatigue is to vape at lower wattages, less frequently. I've also found that less in-your-face juices seem to have greater staying power--which is kind of counter-intuitive.

thanks for the reply. I noticed today I was playing csgo on my pc and vaping intensly as we were losing. anyway the mod got hot and the tank was hot too.. then it hit me.. I could taste the juice properly and no dry mouth. since then even cold it tastes nice and sweet with no dryness so it makes me wonder if these coils (tfv12 t10) have a temp they need to reach to break them in?

The V10 coils were overrated and the Q4 are just all-around better. Better flavor, better power range for usefulness and better aerosolization of the e-liquid in general over the V10.

You should be drinking more water while vaping. It will dehydrate you, especially the big air coils. They make a couple different RBA's for that platform that dont suck. You could save a fortune with a couple and some coils and cotton, and then build it exactly how you like your vape with some trial and error.

aye I kinda get that. it has a very restricted draw (imma guess based on the diameter of the coils) and it took a while to break the coil in. as for the Q$'s I had the max 80W ones and they were perfect amazing draw albeit loud. perfect flavour. someone told me to go with falcon but im not sure. for now my t10 has broken in and is tasting good. no need for water or hydration as I am a huge beer monster and coffee drinker :D

I drink a lot of water during the day as it is around 4 litres
