I've been using Pico 75's almost exclusively for the last couple of years (loving the small form factor and their dependability) and had one go bad on me the other day. It didn't fire when I pushed the button and then autofired until I took the batt out. Ya, not good :wait:

Replaced the board with a FT replacement today and it's back up and doing fine so far in VW mode which is what I use all the time. The TC mode is a bit funky but it seems to work though I don't use TC much and just tried it to check it out. So far, so good :)

Going to have to buy a few more boards.

Wow, never heard that happening with a Pico. That's fantastic you can replace the board! Do you happen to have a link? I'm not savvy, but am interested.

You are officially vapocalypse ready. At least as a mod fixer!

Yeah I have 5 or 6 replacement boards for my Kbox Mini mods. Got at FT, now discontinued.

I’m sorry, but that’s kinda hilarious. But  for you, since these are very weird times.

That’s so cool that you’re a great coil maker! And I can say, I knew her on VU. :teehee:

I'm not sure I even want to, if they aren't actually based in Arkansas... and if they are, it's legal for them to ship anything they want to Arkansas. I'm so very confused about all this. I'd rather just talk to a much bigger, busier store than one that won't even ship to its own state hnnngn

You should be able to at least flog some here since Vape Roxx is away for the time being.

I hope you do hook up with a good store online, though.

Organized all my juices and packed 8 shoeboxes to be stored in garage. Have about 3000ml of asst VW juice in fridge-and a shoebox of asst stuff to try,
Don't have to pick anything out for a bit as have decided to use all the opened bottles on my endtable first. Consolidated all coils. May have overshopped.

I remember being so excited when I got one of those in the mail

I posted pics here on VU and the first comment was something like

"It looks like one of those 90s velcro wallets"

MeatyWeightyAfricanparadiseflycatcher-size_restricted.gif

Wow- Really?
That wasn't a very nice thing to say to you! I remember your EOS 2 and it was a beautiful mod.
Guess that some here weren't taught that " if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"

I've heard of these boards going bad a couple of times Huckleberried, but this is the first time it's happened to me. And this mod was only a few months old too, must have just been a weak board. My first Pico got drenched with juice a few times when I had a leaky tank on it and it went funky but I just took it apart, cleaned the juice out of it and it's been fine since :)

This is the board I used. It's cloned, not OEM. If you look at the reviews you'll see some people have had issues with them. I think most of the negative reviews are due to the performance differences, but mine seems to be doing just fine, for now at least. I've wanted to try one of these boards for a while just to see how they perform for me but not badly enough to exchange a perfectly good board.

To get the board out you need to unsolder the wire at the bottom plate and then solder it again on assembly. To replace a board you'll also need to solder the two 510 wires. As long as you are comfortable doing that it's a very easy job

I just know that one day, and probably not too far out now, the old style Pico 75 mods and boards are also going to be discontinued. I usually don't buy too many of one item because if I find something I like better next year my stash becomes a bunch of paperweights. OTOH, these puppies are so good for my style of vaping, that at the price they cost I'll take the chance this time. And also Doggies :)

Got my Solomon 3 RTA from Element Vape today. They also gave me an $8.00 credit due to the slow shipping time. I had emailed them over the weekend simply to inquire as to when the order would ship. That is excellent customer service. I decided to order 2 more Solomon 3's for my prep stash and use the credit they gave me. They are on sale for under $15.00 and I dig the one I already have. Once I get them, I'll have 4 of these to help get me through whatever the feds throw at us...:D

I've been using mine for three years. It's beat to hell. I dropped in the middle of a street one time accidentally. I didn't realise until I was 50 miles away. The temp was below zero. A guy in the shop looked for it for me but couldn't find it. The next day someone found it and turned it in to the shop. It was laying on the road overnight (probably ran over). My Griffin was wrecked but the Pico lived. People might be sick of me telling the story lol.

It never occurred to me that I could get a new board for it. Mines looking pretty rugged these days so I got a new one from fasttech recently. . It's in my "just incase" closet. Thanks for mentioning the board swap you did. I'm going to check into those.

Re-wicked my Augvape Intake Dual RTA with Salon Care Non-Reinforced Cotton Coil cotton from Sally's Beauty Supply, based on a recommendation from @The Cromwell in the thread I hate Japanese Cotton from a couple years back.

Seems to work. Doesn't appear so far to have any more initial cotton taste than any other cotton I've tried. Maybe even less than the Japanese Organic I bought when I first started building back three years ago. (I tried some of that, again, just recently. Was not pleased with the results.) I'd say that, so far, it seems to work about as well as Native Wicks.

I'll have a better idea after I've run a couple ml through it. If it works well, it'll be hard to beat $3 or so for 40 ft. of cotton. I used only 2/3 of the width, 1/3 each on each of the two 3mm coils.

From experience, keep that cotton in a sealed bag, or else you WILL get a weird taste by the time you get towards the end of that 40 ft...

I made that mistake with the gigantic bag of Puff I bought 2-3 years ago, had to throw a lot away, bag got holes in it and it started tasting funky

I double bag my Muji dairy facial cotton.

Thanks for the heads up! That would never have occurred to me. I guess that means it's absorbent, which is what you'd want in a wicking material.

ETA: Done!

I kept mine in a big glass cannister with a sealing top like one keeps flour and such in.
Put it in there right and you can just keep on pulling out the rope.

Made my first international shipment> shipped a mod to the buyer in Canada. Ended up coming to an agreement with @Theboss to buy his KRMA and Daywon RDAs. Looking forward to these. Dumped all of my saved up carts with RDAs since I bought these. Placed another FT order. Hope this one comes before I draw SS. Checked tracking on both of my shipments coming from Florida Vape supply with their going of of business sale. Tracking showed one had been delivered....to them. Sent an email and in less than 2 minutes of hitting send FVS called me! They extremely apologetic saying the postal carrier accidentally scanned the package as delivered. No biggie, but won't be able to track. Too bad the are GOB as that's probably the best customer service I've had.

I got a box of that stuff on accident. I meant to get rayon but ordered regular cotton. I never even tried it but will now. There's A LOT in there.

I just ordered a Steampunk Nano for $39 at Central Vapors. Element was out of the Yihi Mini I ordered so I figured I’d get something more my regular VW speed.

I love the Punk 86, so I’m hoping I love this one. They only had stainless left, but I figure it will look okay.
