Thanks. Does the exe just unpack it and then I use Evolve, or does it look for the DNA60 and apply it?

I think I can get the Aspire Nautilus "BVC Replacement Atomizer" in 0.7 or 1.6, or the Nautilus 2 coils in 0.7. Recommendation?

I use both the 0.7 and Naut 2 0.7 coils in my BB, the newer Naut 2 0.7 ohm coil lasts longer than the older 0.7 coils, but both vape very good for pre made coils.

It's not my mod so it doesn't matter what I think, but I think it looks good.

you have said that appearance is not one of your highest priorities. it does look good, just not what i was expecting.

now, since i have your attention = what coil should i put in that Xeta. i want open flow if that matters. and you know i have some rolls of wire.

btw, it didd come with a black Burrito !

Wow! this is one huge thread - going to take some time to get through :)

Great to see plenty of BB love on here, any rules I should be aware of?

Are Bantam's included or outlawed?

Here's my current fleet:

Nice collection!

We're pretty liberal in this thread... Billets, Bantams, RTAs, pods, knives, etc, etc.

No shame in anyone's game here!

Thanks @Nailz. I grabbed some at the local B&M to get a vape going on my new toy while I figure out what I want to build in the RBAs. Here's what I picked up. The guy told me that "they've combined the Nautilus 2 and the BVC coils, they don't make them separately anymore. Not sure whether he's snowing me or not, but I think I wanted the BVC coils.

They will work fine, the Naut 2 0.7 ohm coils I have, are the mesh coils, they last about a week longer, but more expensive and don't really notice a difference in flavor, so I stocked up on the normal 0.7's.

Super busy offline, sorry. For dtl, leave all the inserts out and build like you would for most single coil attys for dtl and like a 50 watt ceiling.

If you have 28ga 316L, try twisting a couple strands tight, but still bumpy, and winding a 2.5 for 6 wraps. I like slight spacing, but not necessary. With 2.5 id you might want to turn the juice flow screws up a hair. cotton pretty tight and a few mm outside the ports. That's my suggestion anyway.

Ok, I'm going to ask some questions that may be really stupid, but if they are, so be it. I don't want this thing dumping a tank of juice on my first attempt.
I'm using the Aspire Nautilus coil adapter with a Nautilus BVC coil. In the first pic, I assume I've got the pieces laid out correctly. Second pic, I've screwed the short adapter section onto the bottom of the coil and captured the o-ring on the coil. Third pic I've put the coil in the boro, screwed the long section of the adapter on the coil and pushed the assembly down into the boro so it's flush on top. This pushed the black insert out of the boro tank. Is this correct?

I'm not the guy for the subohm coil setups. I only used it a couple times and it's been a while now.

Probably shouldn't quote myself, but I've worked this out. The black insert shown in the 3rd and 4th photos turned out to be the airflow adjustment ring from the Kanger RBA, which was installed in the boro tank, and when I took out the Kanger this was left in.

This is vaping quite well now, first impression is really good. I'm sure I'll be more pleased when I move to the Xeta.

All is well. Stand down.

gotcha. and i have that wire.

those juice flow screws = up or down increases juice flow ?

Back them out just a hair until you get the right tension on the cotton. They push up on the cotton. You don't want them TOO tight. Just taking up any air.

Is it unusual I got a black boro with my SXK? Is that an "A-tank"?
As far as I know the A Tank is always black, but there are black regular boros too (I think). The A Tank has a larger bottom hole.

EDIT: If the Aspire bridge fits it, then that's an A-Tank. That's not the only one you got?

So am I :D

That's the only boro that came in the BB. It came with the Kanger RBA installed, hence the black insert (air flow ring on the Kanger RBA) I saw pushed out when I inserted the Aspire bridge. So I have an A-tank? Will the Xeta work with that?

Nope you have a standard black boro. The A-Tank is for Atlantis style coils. It has a much bigger opening.

@R3alJim Shady , I am getting along with the Tell just fine. I have used it with the Arrow and Naughty bridge. It really is a great vape. I am using the middle af ring of the three, and it's a nice (fairly tight imo) mtl. Idk the capacity, but you can fit a ton in there. Honesty, wouldn't change anything. I guess the bottom fill would be a bummer to some, but I am a massive 2019 kayfun user, so I'm use to it and could care less. Not really seeing how you could get a vapeshell in there, but I'ma try :)

Just build the damn Xeta already. Only takes a few minutes if your not worried about cracking posts :D If you would rather a white boro, let me know. I would gladly swap.

I built it last night. I got it plenty tight without any post cracks. I'll put it in today. I wanted to start with a pre-made coil to see what the experience was. I figured once I went to the xeta and vapeshell rbas I'd never go back, so wanted to see what the difference was. Now I'll know.

I'm happy with the black tank. It's not the color, it's the fact that I didn't know whether I had an A-tank or not. Think back to the first day you handled a BB. That's where I'm at. Just unknowns is all. I'll get it figured out.

Oh yeah, I was lost for days, still am on some accounts. I was totally joking, and that was meant as a dig at myself. I get wanting to try it different ways, to me that is one of the beuties of the BB, so many options. Got ya on the black and A tank, just wasn't sure if you were unhappy with the color.

Interesting so far. I've gone through a tank with the 0.7 ohm Nautilus BVC, I like it but not overwhelming. Just put in the xeta with a SS clapton with the 0.8mm insert and the 1mm chimney. Very tight mtl, probably too tight. I get a little whine noise when pulling on it from and I get a good hit but hardly any vapor exhale. Maybe a little too stealthy. May try the larger chimney, but with that 0.8mm below the coil I'm not sure how much that will change.

I cut my cotton off right at the sleeve based on watching Todd's review of the xeta. I'm getting plenty of juice but the tank is full. Where do you cut your cotton?

Correction: I have the 3mm chimney, not the 1mm.

I find the air insert with the two small holes gives me exactly what I want in a tight MTL.

I leave my wicks about 4mm out on each side. Reduced juice capacity but I can drain the Boro to the last drop.

Swapped the chimney insert to the 5mm, still too tight. Damn it.

I'm surprised it's this tight a draw and very little vapor exhale. Todd was tootin away on this. What else could affect airflow? I'm not using the little spinner thing on the bottom of the xeta, not blocking the intake holes. ?? What do others use for MTL?

I use the 3mm. The 1mm one will act like a straw and pull up condensation. Never understood why they make them that small. All the best flavor atties never had chimneys with IDs like that.

Thanks shady, appreciate the help. I may tear this one down and rebuild; it's just too tight.

What's your coil ID and number of wraps? My favorite for it now is Ni80 29/36 clapton, 5 wraps spaced, 2.5mm ID. Comes out to around 1.12 ohms.

I had some AVS 316SS 28g/36g claptons laying around, so I rewrapped one of them at 2.5mm 6.5 wraps, spaced, about 1 ohm. Running 3mg 70/30 juice at 23w.

At 1 ohm spaced you should be able to run it closer to 13 or 14 watts, especially with the airflow as tight as you have it. Try taking gently, longer pulls at lower wattage. That should help out quite a bit

Yeah, that works. I was drawing slower but definitely didn't need to be at 23w.

Thanks again. I think easing up that insert draw will be perfect.

Keep us posted on how you get on with it...
Btw, FT just listed the ultem, clear, and black chambers for the Xeta today.

The modder claimed it makes for a better vape since it insulates the chamber more. I call bullshit lol!

Yup totally agree with Shady on all accounts. I have 3mm chimney in, and the 2 hole af plug (whatever it is). I tried the .8 plug and that was too tight for me.

I only use standard kanthol builds, but between .95 and 1.1, and somewhere around 15-18 watts.
