What did you do today that is vape related?

Today I vaped...a lot.
I placed an order for more juice from a member here.
I browsed the web for dual 18650 variable voltage pod mods. Sadly, there aren't many options. 4 or 5 good looking ones, I already own 2 of them, the dovpo m vv and Tesla invader III. I might start looking into "custom" made pwm mods as I'm seeing a few different makers of those putting them out for a reasonable price.
After years of vaping on various VW mods, mech boxes and tubes, I finally found where I like to be, and that's VV with no bells, whistles, TC or fancy screens displaying things I already know about my vape set up. Now finding more to add to my rotation is the hard part. Getting my wife to approve such purchases is the even harder part.

Went b&m shopping today. Got some juice, profile cotton and mesh. And a brand new goon 25 for half price. Also put in an application for evening there. That definitely sounds promising

Got some more single flavor testers mixed up, a handful of banana flavorings. Trying to find that mild unobtrusive banana I know exists out there somewhere. lol
Hmmmm.....my favorite banana right now is Molinberry Soft Banana. I’m not sure I’d call it mild or unobtrusive, but it’s pretty realistic.

Needing the money or something to do or just to support your shinyitis?
Could always use extra money. Whether it be to buy a mod or dog food. I usually work for a guy on weekends but he took a paycut this year and so did I unfortunately. Landscaping is usually the first thing to get behind when you lose the kinda money he did by the year.

So I bought something I really didn't need at all and also something I said I wouldnt get. A pod. I got it for under $20. They are doing a promo which is buy a box of juice (which is under $20) and u get a free device.

None of the juice really suit me but the mod looked great and catchy, which I kinda want. Now the that kinda bug me was when I was trying the flavors out the sales person kinda told me why don't I just pick the color first. I told them my color and they just kinda got the box out. I was still thinking about it but when they grab the box, I kinda just went fuck it.

Now comes the really bad part.........I regret it cuz I could have done a lot with $129 rmb (under 20 usd) instead of buying another device that don't suit me period. Do I need it, no. Do I want it, not really. Does it look cool on me, sort of I guess.

1 out 4 do and dont. I should have thought more clearly, I had it for one night outside and didn't even use it that much compare to my v200. (My friend wasn't using it more then me and he already has one)

So in the end I'm going to be selling it after less then 24hr of use.

Well I got a cold, not sure if it's the flu, don't think so. Since I finished off the previous flavors I decided to clean the coils on 2 mods, re wicked and loaded them up with a couple of what I call vapable flavors since I can't taste much of anything. Good time to begin to burn through these juices that I don't really care for.

A lot of bananas are too strong for me, and while I love real bananas it's one thing to eat one. It's another to taste them all day long. I'm not a big runts fan. When I do eat bananas I prefer them firm, more on the green side vs all mushy and 'ripe'. I'm hoping to get close to a flavor I really liked from Vapewild, wrecking ball. They never could decide what it was, they described it as 'banana and whipped cream', 'banana pudding', 'banana whipped cream and pudding'. They've since discontinued that flavor.

I don't have a world class palate or anything, but what I get from it - it's smooth. A bit of a thick mouthfeel, very faint banana. If it's a real banana it's more like a faint whiff. If it's candy it's subtle, more like the aftertaste of those candy circus peanuts (but softer than that). It's not a rich 'pudding', kind of a mild sweet creamy taste. There's another fruit in there somewhere, on the exhale it almost tastes like the flavor you get after swallowing a bit of red apple, just the fleshy bit not the skin. Or sometimes almost like a faint strawberry, but a real one not artificial strawberry like a starburst. By subtle I mean trying to discern the flavor it's like wait.. was that fruit? And then it's gone. Usually comments I've got from others around me when I vape it is 'what's that, that smells fruity' and when I say banana they're like huh? It's weird.

I've tried other stuff like bananas foster, banana pudding and they're way too strong for me. Which makes sense, banana bread pudding or banana pudding are pretty pungent full on banana. This is sort of like licking a circus peanut candy (which is primarily banana flavored). So far I've tried LA banana cream (colorless), Tfa banana ripe and now have FA banana, Pur banana, Cap banana and TFA banana cream as single flavor testers going.

Interesting. From what I’ve heard, Vape Wild uses Flavor West. I could be mistaken about that? Rumors and all that. But if it is, they do have a banana flavor. I don’t have it, so I have no opinion on it. But maybe worth a shot? Used low, it could be the banana you’re looking for.

I got my flavors today - went and picked them up from Wizard Labs, and I spent all day making up recipes.I also spent the day cleaning my tanks and trying to keep my kit organized. It was at that point I noticed my tobacco kit. I used to make my own cigarettes with a rolling device and tubes and I'd put the whole thing in a box in the closet. I haven't used or even thought about that stuff for weeks now, and as far as I'm concerned, it was an ugly reminder of what I left behind, so I disposed of all of it. I need the space for my vape, anyway. After all of that, I sat down and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and one of my brand new juices...mmmmm... that sure does hit the spot!

I don't know that they use any one particular brand, they used a couple different banana flavorings. For instance a couple other banana flavors they had, hold the door (cinnamon, banana, cream, marshmallow), banshee (banana cheesecake), bananas (banana candy) along with a banana tobacco.. those used a far different banana than wrecking ball. Also possible that they had proprietary flavors blended up. It would be within their grasp given the sort of money they made, between the main hq in texas, the place they opened in Ireland, the half a dozen or more brick and mortar stores they've opened up and the multimillion dollar contracts they had at one time with SB alone. Some have said they used fw, others said they used nic river. Not sure any company uses all one brand of flavoring in their mixes. Seems it would severely limit them.

For that matter, it might use circus peanut (banana) flavoring.

I've posted this in a couple places, so if it's a repeat, forgive me. I placed a cheapie FT order today to test that out. Got confirmation and a PP receipt, but they're barely awake in China, so I suppose it could get canceled, still.

You like the slightly raspy flavor of a not fully ripe banana? The flavorconcentrates banana with little steep time that is the way it tastes, with a couple of weeks it mellows into more of a riper banana.
their strawberry is the same way.
And their Blueberry is GOOD.

True! Since quitting smoking, my colds are so mild now, I can barely tell when I have them... except I can't taste my vape, when I have a cold. So I usually just end up not vaping very much... maybe half my usual 5ml-ish.

Finally got an acceptable build on my venerable old VLS Vector RDA and it's working great! Just like I remember. Third try was the charm. (7 wraps of 26 ga. Kanthal at 3mm, came out to 0.40 ohms. Wiicked with Native Wicks.) Tested using the last of the three Naked juices I got for $10/bottle at a local vape shop: Unicorn. Of the three (the other two were Very Berry and Lava Flow), I think the Unicorn suits me best.

Next I think I'll see what I can do with my Sapor RDA.

I think today may be a day to just vape a bit. *squonks, watches bubble in bottle float topside* Huh. That's an interesting notion. "How would squonk work in zero gravity?" *is suddenly spontaneously energized and transported to the zero gravity room, squonks and watches bubble ...*

Yea. To me it's not raspy, it's just not quite over sweet, mushy or perfumey as a fully ripe banana. It's got a bit more of a rind taste I guess (if bananas had a rind), less sweet. Like if I were to pick one to eat, 4 or 5 look great. 6 is fine, 7's straight up relegated to things like banana bread or something. lol

Very creamy strawberry. Particularly if you can get a very dense, just slightly warm vape like I'm getting out of this RDA. I'm vaping it at only 40W. Get just the occasional *snap*.

Why is that?

For me: After chasing flavour satisfaction in fruit/berry flavours last time I was vaping, and again this time, I'm finding that, for me, desserts give me the most satisfaction.
I usually stick to menthol or mints. I haven’t found a fruit or dessert one I like. I got banana custard one time because it smelled and tasted amazing! Put it in my tank and it tasted like crap then.

A couple hints:
  • I found it best to always use a new coil when changing flavours--particularly if the new flavour is wildly different from the old. (See below for saving used, but still good, coils by flavour.)
  • I prime new coils before re-assembling the tank, then fill the tank and let it sit a minimum of ten (10) minutes before vaping on it
  • I start out a new coil a good ten (10) watts lower than I expect my target wattage to be, and ramp it up only a watt or two at a time over the next 12-24 hours
Here are the dessert flavours I've tried and like:
  • DIY Vapor Supply (a place local to me in S.E. Mich.) Peanut Butter Parfait
  • Killer Kustard Strawberry (strawberry custard)
  • Aqua Cream Vortex (vanilla graham cracker)
  • Naked Unicorn (creamy strawberry)
I'm not certain just how to describe DIY Vapor Supply Peanut Butter Parfait, but it's probably the richest, tastiest juice I have.

As for swapping coils: You're probably going to want to swap flavours more often than you hit EOL on coils. I know I do. Luckily, we clean and save the little plastic cups sauces and dressings come in with take-out orders. So, just like a syringe-out a tank and save the juice in a "holding bottle," I keep used coils in labelled little cups. When I switch back to that flavour, I just grab an existing coil from the appropriate cup.

I've thought about the same thing. If for no other reason that vape money. My local shop seems to have a high turn over rate. Other thing stopping me is recently they've got to selling more glassware which I know nothing about...

You could start with two different strawberries, mixed with an ice cream and either a custard or TFA vanilla swirl. Then some sweetener if needed. TFA Rainbow Drops also help boost strawberry. Do you have any or most of these flavors?

How about dragonfruit? Or cactus? Maybe 0.6% or thereabouts to bump the strawberry. Maybe even 1% or less of vanillin too.

2.5% of primary strawberry and ice cream
1.5% of backup strawberry and vanilla swirl
0.6% of dragonfruit or cactus
0.8% of vanillin

If I were doing it, that's where I'd start. You're not mixing with salts, are you?

TFA makes an Ethyl Vanillin, about as close to cooking vanilla extract as can be found in the diy world, I think. I use it in bubble gums.

I think you'll be good with the dragonfruit. TFA is what I have. It's good in small doses.

but i do have many different vanillas

Good thing to do might be to start with the ice cream and vanilla swirl, then sample the juice. If it needs more strawberry, go about 3-4 drops per 10 ml more of each of the strawberries (each 3 drops will be about 0.1%, so you can adjust your recipe to keep track of additions) and work up from there. If it needs more cream, you can add another vanilla, like maybe Bavarian cream or French Vanilla, beginning at 1%.

Then don't forget to share your final recipe with us so we can try it!
