I get to play doctor today with my iphone 6s haha

Old phone... works great, still takes good pictures, 128gb... needs a new battery.

When the battery arrives, get to take the thing apart... slap in a 2200mAh battery in place of the 1756mAh factory... just a lil more run time...

had a feeling.

I am sure once he gets his customization shop back in order he will post up in his thread about taking in orders...

The mod was an order he took in that someone else didn't pay for... and during our conversations on the mod and colors I was looking for, he mentioned a few he had already finished previously... he showed me a few other really nice finished mods... but all were a lil on the louder side for me... then he showed me the Candy Coal one, and boom, it was shipped. Even the button is a Gray with a lil white swirl to get all matchy. Plus a black and or Stainless RDA would look good on it.

I really need to take it in the sun to get a good picture... might just walk outside and snap up one for SaGs

tapatalk is being weird and not allowing me to post pics... ahwell... maybe later when it decides to work lol

Tad difficult to get good sun when our condo is north facing... no direct sun light... had to open the garage and go out the south end and snap a few.

Funny Story...

Yesterday was our anniversary... Wife had to work, then had plans with good family friends of ours which in Filipino tradition we call "Ate" and "Kuya" Female/Male titles if you will.

Anyway she went out with Ellen to watch a Pinoy movie at the theater as they often do... she comes home late, I am already asleep.

Anyway this morning, I wake, make the coffee as usual (wife can burn water) give it to her with a small anniversary gift (gift card to Sephora) and she goes... what's this for?

I said, well for that you get to walk the dogs lady...pfft.

Mind you its not our wedding Anniversary, but the day we first started dating years ago... wedding date was actually last month... but I digress, we don't do our wedding date, but always celebrate our date...date.

She realizes and said, why I didn't say anything...

I told her, how can I say no to what you want on our Anniversary, regardless if you forgot it ;) Twist the guilt knife a little... She says, "Honey we do whatever you want today" I twisted the knife again... well you have 364 days to plan for next year ;)

She's out on a long walk with the dogs while I order some odd gauge wire from Kidney Puncher since they have a 30% off sale ;)

HAHA...

I do like the aesthetics of the RBA... has a nice clamp system that wont snap on you... has reducers that thread in... looks like a win to me.

I'd seriously consider one if I had a BB...

But I don't, so there is that ;)
It does look pretty cool.

@~Don~, WTF? I click on your link " https://imgur.com/a/HSGj717" and got the above message! I know we get sideways of the thread, but this would be waaaay off the beaten path!

Happy anniversaries (both of them!) and many more returns to both of you:vino:

The Heir deck looks like any number of China rba's I have or had. No need for any airdics around here. May be hard pressed to top the Xeta or Vapeshell that I still enjoy.

Limited edition with serial number XXX

As long as we can help guys with the gorilla grip like @dubya314 to keep from over-tightening theirs, the Xeta should be fine :D

Man looking at those posts, they may not be massive, but they're not exactly thin either. You'd have to really crank that down to break it. Certainly avoidable with normal use. I'm not beating up on @dubya314 at all. He told us he's a notorious over tightener.

My SXK Xeta just hit stateside in Stamford. I'm also curious to compare it firsthand to the YFTK. I'm betting the fabrication is done by the same outfit over there. Maybe the o-rings and stuff like that are different between the two. The cap tolerance on my YFTK is absolutely perfect. Silky smooth with just the right amount of resistance.

I think I might have f#$&ed up my other one as well. Yes, I overtighten, but this seems a bit ridiculous. I have been vaping 5 years, and never run into anything like this. That said, I am about to order 2 more because I like it that much, and just hoping I can find the happy medium.....

Maybe have someone else tighten the coil for you?
Just messin with you, I tend to over-tighten at times but I got over it in time.....that and using a bridge with drop in coils:vino:
Lol, shouldn't be made shitty enough an extra turn snaps it in half......

Its not you really... its the design of the clamps...

There was enough people that complained about the authentic failing and believe me it was significant enough for Steve to design a stronger one.

Better to make everyone happy than be known to have a shit item, sad thing is... the cloners never got that memo of a fix.

If you see how they snapped you can see the metal where it snapped and its granular, that is the worst... a fine grain and snapped, that is just herculean hulk tightening.

Look at the old goons clamps, I hulk tighten those, they dont crack, but they do bend ;)

I have yet to find a Chinese set of screws hold up to my Wiha Drivers, the worst ones are Hex and Phillips... not even a 10th of a turn into snugging and you can see the metal deform lol... precision drivers just way more bite than China screws can handle

Nah, I'm jist ribbin him a little is all :D

Maybe I stand corrected though. I didn't realize it was THAT prevalent. I'll certainly be careful with mine, though my YFTK didn't show any signs of flexing or anything when I put the coil in.

Seems to me that if it actually is a flaw in design and or manufacture, the buyers should be made happy with no cost to themselves at all. They're only getting what they thought they were originally paying for. It shouldn't cost them anything.

I know, just ribbin you now.
Most certainly a design flaw. Haku offered free replacements then backtracked to only free to shipping to a hub in country and required shipping payment from there. Which is crap.
I've had no issues with mine but have 2 upgraded posts on the way. Will post a comparison when they get here.

If the same complaints head their way, I bet they do.

I am 99% sure they won't.

Being the Xeta is a success and a good vape that fits many different vapers, I don't see an incentive for them to ever do any updates to the clamping system. They already sell it for 1/6th the price (what I truly think its worth) and they don't care... now it would be rad if they manufactured replacement posts in mass production... sell them for $1.99 a pair... buy the clone for $20 add in 10 pair for another $20, would still be a rocking deal.

But yeah, I'd about bet the house on the cloners never updating the clamps... but I can see them selling the parts for a price

That will be very useful. You have authentics right? Forgive me, I can't keep track of what everybody has. LOL!

Yeah, I have titanium wire in mine too. Which is harder than SS. Haven't had any issues with resistance changing either, so probably tight enough.

I can't either, affirmitive, authentic. I bought the mtl kits and have 2 posts coming with them.

My xetas might show up tomorrow. If the clamps break, I'll be pissed and go right back to the vapeshell.

No amount of "the xeta is a super awesome vape dude" could get me to buy another one.

The deck on the xeta is the reason I wanted to try it. I hate the screws on the vapeshell, but they work.

Just snug and they'll be fine. The reports on FB are few. Most likely from gorilla hands. ;)

Maybe our friend here can take some solace in the fact that he's reminded us to be careful. I'm being serious about that. I had forgotten that I'd read about some folks breaking their posts. Might have even been here somewhere.

I'm also not disputing with anybody at all. Most of the people in this thread, including @dubya314 have FAR more experience with these things than I do. I'm only reporting how it's been with me. I have had no issues with my post clamps.

Actually I got out of the habit of over tightening by stripping screws. Like @~Don~ said. Usually allen screws. I also stripped out the post on a brand new 30mm Mason Dumptank RTA that I never got to use even once. That was actually the tipping point. I'm generally careful now so maybe that accounts for it.

That new Terk V2 I got in Friday, the one with the supposed beefy Phillip screws, well they were no match to my wiha #4 driver... slapped a pair of .12ohm Aliens in, didn’t even torque them and the bite from the driver folded 1/4 of the Phillip head. Worst part... no replacement screws.

But yeah even the tiny screws on the goon are hardened better and it’s nearly 4 years old.

I’ll probably order some better torx screws for the replacement due in by Thursday
