Lubing O-Rings For Storage?

I've got both RDAs and RTAs/RDTAs I've cleaned and am going to box back up for possible listing here. Some of the RDAs, in particular, were a challenge to get apart. (In fact: Two of them I may have to give up on.)

Question: What can I put on the O-rings so they don't lock up tighter than a drum?

Hmmm... I'll have to find some, somewhere.

So, say, olive oil, for example, is a non-starter?

It turns out we had a small bottle of VG in the pantry, for some reason. Problem solved!

Olive oil contaminates the
O rings -Atomiser with oil = not good,
So VG is best since its a lubricant and and what we vape,

On amazon look for food grade lubricant. You can also use water based sex lube in a pinch. The food grade lube I use is by haynes and is in a blue and red tube. Little bit goes a long way and its safe.

I designed hydraulic cylinders for many years, which use a lot of o-rings and elastomer seals in a variety of materials; mostly Buna-n nitrile and viton, which is high temp rubber. My understanding is that the o-rings and seals in a tank can be a variety of materials, including Buna-n, viton, and silicone. In the hydraulic cylinder industry we used grease for assembly purposes of these types of seals. Specifically, we used Vaseline. Makes stuff go together nicely and doesn't hurt these materials, which are designed to use with petroleum products.

DON'T use Vaseline to lube your vape seals. Petroleum greases and oils are toxic and while they will preserve your seals nicely, they will contaminate your vape gear. Use what your juice uses for a diluting agent, which is PG or VG. They will be just fine for years that way.
