Rba's similar to Kayfun?.

Hello,

I vape Kayfuns mostly. Also have a Fogger v4 which I'm still getting used to. I would like some opinions on other rebuildable tanks.

I know about the Rose and Squape 2 but can't afford the originals yet. Anyone have an eta on when these clones will be available for purchase in the US?

Looking for:
Adjustable airflow or drillable
Rebuildable
Fillable tank

I use mechs, Kayfuns, 26/28 gauge, .8 and 1.1 ohm, 3/32 drillbit, cotton.

thanks
iosman

A lot of the clones I have, both RTAs and RDAs, I have NEVER seen for sale in the States, unless it's on eBay or in the Hardware thread here at VU.

In my experience there aren't many vape-related things more frustrating than a Kayfun, so perhaps my experience wouldn't benefit you! :) But here goes anyway...

I have two Hussar RTA clones from a few years back that vape really well. There are newer versions of Hussar clones that several people here in the forum have liked. I have a Hurricane Jr. that is a good vape, but it's only bottom fill.

Also there has been a lot of positive conversation lately about the Dvarw RTA. There are two versions of it, I believe - an MTL and a restricted DL.

All of the devices I've mentioned, though, would have to be ordered from overseas unless you happen to find one on eBay or in the Hardware thread.

Just out of curiosity, what was the most frustrating part of the Kayfuns for you? What versions? Maybe I'm just lucky that I discovered Kayfuns only recently and the V5 and Prime have been improved over previous Kayfuns?

The V4 was the one I just fell in love with, as far as looks. I have wicked that thing a dozen times, ran the gamut from nearly no cotton to far too much cotton, tails laid in, tails tucked in, tails barely touching, you name it. I cannot get the thing to vape without giving me dry hits.

I am to the point that I wonder if liquid control is not opening enough to allow it to wick properly, no matter what the wick is like, but it's up in there and you can't see what it's doing. I just gave up.

I have a lot of RTAs, and this is the only one that, try as I might, I just cannot get it to do right.

Interesting, maybe I'm right about improvements on the newer ones. From my first builds on both I haven't had an issue, although I did watch some videos while waiting on shipping.

@iosman123 I've heard a lot of people saying how good the Damnvape Fresia rta is. I watched some YouTube videos on it out of curiosity and Jai Haze compared the vape quality to the GT3. Might be a good option at a fairly cheap price?
