I'm guessing you mean the glass kind? Yes, I've read of several people doing that. I just wash mine by hand.

That's what I usually do but I have let them build up and it would be a pain washing by hand. I was also thinking of spraying them out and boiling them for a little.

I use Zep heavy duty citrus cleaner from the Home Depot to clean my bottles. I use to use it when I would need to clean off the polish from metals that were then plated so it doesn't leave a residue and cleans just about better than anything I have used before.

I was wondering what other people use to hand wash there bottle though? What do you use to remove menthol from bottles? I have a glass dropper bottle that still smells like menthol and I have even tried white vinegar but the smell won't go away.

I let mine build up once. That taught me a lesson, LOL.

I've been taught this too many times, but lately I wash with warm water and blow out with my air compressor. The thing you need to wash the best for glass drippers is the nipple, juice seems to just love staying in there unless squeezed and pinched while washing. That all sounded bad....anyhoo...

I did put them in the dishwasher last time I let them build up and it worked great I didn't smell any type of anything after the dry cycle but I have a dishwasher that has a steam cycle that will literally melt plastic cups so this might help too.

If you have a load to do I don't see a problem with it although I still had to do the tops and the drippers by hand so not sure if this saves me anytime in the long run..

Soak in Dawn Dish-washing Liquid and rinse or soak in Hot Water. That is all I have done for years and never had a problem. No residual smell or taste.

When I was using plastic bottles I soaked them in vinegar and water to get rid of the smell. Since I switched to glass I boil them like baby bottles or canning jars after washing with Dawn. It helps to remove the labels too. It may be overkill but I have issues ;)

I just spray them with the sink sprayer using full hot water. Shake them out and let them dry for a day on paper towels.
If trying to get rid of a strong flavor I will rinse with isopropyl alc after rinsing with water. And let dry for at least a day to be sure that all the iso alc is evaporated.
that is when I do wash them. If not changing flavors I very seldom wash them. the 6 120 ml bottles I use for my Cromwell's Custard have not actually been washed in over a year for sure. I wipe the outsides down with alc on a paper towel if they get gunky from drippings or something.
I only use plastic juice bottles for my out and about bag supplies.
Pretty much clean them the same way though. But a bit more often.
