Hello Everyone and welcome to Pizza Dave’s Vape Reviews. Today I will be going over the Limited-Edition Legend Zeus kit. Since the Legend has been out for a while, my main focus of this review is to go over the new Zeus Sub-ohm tank, but I will talk lightly about the upgrades and changes to the Legend for the kit they have now released which is paired with the tank. Let’s get right to it eh?

MOD OVERVIEW
This updated “limited edition” version of the Aegis Legend has quite a few noticeable changes from the original. A new magnesium alloy lightens up the frame quite a bit, which is probably the most noticeable change. Another cosmetic change is the Zeus logo etched into the leather on the backside. This one also has the upgraded screen face, which I have seen later Legend models have. This has a little bump out over the screen, and supposedly has some better water intrusion protection over the original. Other than these few things that I could spot right away, it isn’t much difference. If you want to see my full thoughts of this device, I reviewed it in the spring of 2018, so check out my profile for that post.

HOW IT VAPES
I wasn’t really going to post anything here, but I found the upgraded firmware on this to be MUCH better than my OG Legend. I was unable to upgrade my old one, so I don’t know if these changes are on the older one, but it vapes much different than mine. For starters, the ramp time is cut way down in wattage mode, so it hits much harder out of the gate. I also found the battery life to be improved slightly. I did a quick test of the TC to see how that is, and it is mediocre with the standard SS setting. It started to provide a choppy vape that cut off way too early. Overall, this appears to still be a wattage banger, but it does it better than it did before.

ZEUS SUB-OHM TANK DETAILS
Alright, so this is the main reason why I am even posting this review. First the Zeus RTA, then the Zeus Dual RTA, then the Zeus X RTA… NOW, the Zeus Sub-ohm tank. This tank offers all of the things that made the Zeus RTA popular, but utilizes a stock coil instead of a rebuildable deck. Out of the gate, I found that I really like the look of this tank. The Zeus tanks have always looked good in my opinion, and this one is no exception. It also comes in some really great colors too. I vaped the heck out of this one, so let’s go over what I found.

COILS
The coils that come with this tank are a new proprietary design. To swap these coils, the bottom unscrews off the tank, and the coils are pushed into place. If you can’t pull the coils with your nails, they include a nifty little tool which pops under the coil and aids in removal. These are held very snug in place, so there is no doubt that the O-rings will keep the coil sealed in place. I will touch on their performance in my final thoughts.

AIRFLOW
Similar to the Advken Owl, the Zeus Sub-ohm tank utilizes top air flow, which travels to the base of the coil and up the center. I found the air flow to be more than adequate and even turned mine down to about 1/3 closed for the most part. It isn’t noisy, or turbulent, and provides a great vape experience in my opinion. I also found that the AFC has a decent amount of tension, but not too much. It also doesn’t tend to fly off the top like the one on the Zeus X RTA did.
