been using it since I posted. it has leaked "0". and it hits pretty good with nice flavor. no dry hits yet at 50w.
I am liking it. except for the GD cap :gaah::cuss2:. after it has been on a while, it welds itself on, and I hardly lock it closed. mind you, I have a pretty good grip, but it feels like it was tightened with a pipe wrench.

A little juice an it will work itself in. One of mine was like that and wore itself in.....

I did, and it's still a PITA. If I locked it any less, it would fall off. I hope it gets easier.

I am really liking this tank.

The key word is "patience" or my lack of. I drive myself crazy checking for shipping hourly, I figure, my time and sanity is worth something.
that's why you buy them before you need them.
I did, now I have about ten years worth, beyond my the average life expectancy of a American male....

I knew I could do it ! I just rewicked it, and it's leaking, badly ! :facepalm::xD:
I have found with the SS mesh I need wick it a bit heavier. Start with heavier Pom Poms, if not wicking fast enough, you can always trim them after. Dont be discouraged I have had occasionally leaks especially when I top it off.

this time i didn't use the wotofo cotton stick. I pulled some cotton out of my stash. and I had it in there there pretty darned heavy, with poms so big I could hardly get the thing together. I'm thinking I may have pulled something apart assembling it.

This what I have been doing. I use COTN lump ($2.99 @ eightvape) Divide the cotton in half, Trim to a little beyond the inside ring. Comb lightly. and from the bottom of the cotton fill the juice port completely but not tight. the cotton should extend no more than halfway down the port. Trim the rest of the cotton, which should be the majority of the wick to the outside of the inside ring, comb lightly and trim all strays and the sides. Works everytime. It will look like it will flood but with all that cotton it will wick lie a dripper. This seems to work for me better than all previous experiments and skips the cutting at an angle method.

ok. I vaped it down as much as I dared. took the deck out. low and behold, the wicking had somehow not filled the ports from side to side. I am using it now and it seems fine, so far.

It takes a few attempts to master it`. The important thing is those lower ports, if it is too tight it will not wick quick enough....

just to throw it out there, here's how I have mine wicked right now. 75 watts all day. No dry hits and no leaking/flooding.

what cotton, and any not wet pics ? TC ?

mine is not leaking any more. but I am getting dry hits @50w. I have to take the cap loose for a few seconds. :(
I use this wicking method. He does a lot of explaining. Works perfect.

The two main keys with this rta are full, but not too tight in the bottom ports and make sure the little holes in the bell cap are covered by cotton, but not TOO tight there either. Next time I'm going to trim the outer top edge of the top poms poms at an angle. that extra is not needed there. It's fiddly at first, but pretty easy after you get it figured out. Unlike the rda which almost put me in a mental institution.

I got my .15 OFRF SS strips the other day, but haven't had a chance to try em yet. They do look brilliantly conceived for mesh TC. I hope so.

I got one of the OFRF 316L strips in the Unity, but I tried to use cotton bacon and I don't think it's going to cut it. (I hate cotton bacon)

It does vape great, but I'm going to have put the Pico S on the PC to figure out TC for it. arctic Fox is VERY powerful, but all kinds of confusing on the mod. At least for now. I've only ever used it in power mode.

The OFRF SS strips are working great in the Unity on the Eleaf Pico S with Arctic Fox. 470F and 60 watts.

Arctic Fox is awesome btw. It ain't dead easy, but it is awesome. Great TC once you get it set up and it is really powerful. Serious control and precision. Anybody who has an Arctic Fox capable device who isn't using it is really shorting themselves.

I have such issues with wicking this damn thing. I make the pom poms, etc etc etc the thing leaks like an old man's bladder. I'm over it.
This is the same pic as from above with the top of the wick digitally trimmed. I promise you, you do it like that and you will get no leaks or dry hits unless you chain vape it to death. Like I said up there. I ran that build at 75 watts all day with no problems and great flavor and vapor production. This is coming from somebody who had no end of woe with the Profile rDa.

I can't get the wicking right on the Elevate, but I will someday. The trick is not to follow the directions. Trim the whole wick to the inner ring , stuff a little down the juice ports and cleanup the rest and prime close and vape..

I just cut an angle and stuff the wotofo cotton in there. I'm really suprised you're still having trouble man. I hate that for you. I put that as my top rta hands down.

I wonder if the problem is because I use rayon wicking. It doesn't swell up like cotton does when wet, rather it collapses.

I have been using cotton.

my leaking above. I tweeked the wick that was in it to something like gsmit1 and have been using it for what now, 2-3 days with no leaking what so ever. like cat dude says, this is one great rta.

Don't think rayon is a good fit for the Unity design. I had leaking issues with rayon, worked fine with cotton, give that a try. I just got tired of washing all those parts and it gave me nothing better than the rda. Rda has better flavor and easy to deal with for me.
Edit, I still use rayon over cotton in the rda

After your frustrations with the rda, I'm glad to see you can get the rta to run the higher watts you wanted.
