Wotofo Profile rda mesh coils

So, a few weeks back I picked up the Profile RDA (finally, last to the party, I know). Installed one of the Wotofo mesh strips rated at .18 ohms and it read anywhere from .25-.4 ohms. Then I tried the ofrf nexmesh strips rated at .13 ohms and those read the same. I had some rolls of Vandy Vape stainless steel and ni80 sitting around so I tried cutting those down and trying them as well. Same thing. Also, all of them are jumping around alot and every so often out of the blue my mod will display "new coil + / old coil -" like it would if you put a new coil in or changed tanks. I'm using a Vandy Vape Pulse Dual mod and I've also tried on my Vaporesso Switcher with the same results. I've pulled the dripper apart and checked everything I could think of and didn't find any issues. I'm not getting dry hits but I'm also not getting a very strong vape either. I've searched high and low for an answer on google as well as scanning these forums and haven't found anyone with the same issue.

Ensure that your mesh is ACTUALLY in the clamps and not beside them. This is a common error that yields these exact symptoms. I've had over a dozen Profile RDAs and RTAs. I experienced this once, early on, figured it out, and no errors since. If that isn't the case, then something is wrong with the 510 pin connection, more than likely. Try swapping the 510 pin (it comes with 2. A solid one and a squonk pin) and retest.

Just checked, definitely in the clamps. Changed the 510 and resistance was still high so either both 510s are bad or it's something else. Appreciate the suggestions though. I do have a unity rta ordered so hopefully I don't have the same issue with it. If I do I guess it'll tell me it's something I'm doing wrong lol

I don’t have a Pulse Dual but do have a Pulse 80w and run Profiles on it. With the Wotofo mesh, the resistance is always around .27-.34. I have three different profiles, and it reads similarly on all. The same Profiles run fine on all my other squonk mods, and read accurately.

I also get the new coil/old coil message intermittently. I used a toothpick to wedge the 510 up and it got a little better. Still get it occasionally but not as often.

My Pulse will still hit fine and I use it as an out and about beater, so I just adjust the wattage and move on.

I’m convinced it is an issue with the Pulse. I’ve seen a few comments of others with the 80w and the newer 90w versions. I’ve not seen any comments about the Dual, and don’t know if they all use the same chip. Except for the weak firing, your story is certainly familiar to me though.
