Had an itch I needed to scratch and happened to see a new version of the Holmes RDA is now available at Origin Vape, so into the cart it went. Can anyone tell me what to expect (maybe you have the V1). It looks good from what I'm reading so far.

Okay, nobody seems to have this one. It came in today, nicely giftwrapped and I put in a dual coil at 0.6 very easily. It's nicely machined. I can find no defects as of yet. It's definately replacing my Magma. The big difference I first notice is it's a VERY warm vape compared to my other RDAs. (The Magma, Origen and Veritas) Started with 30 drops (25 per mL) and it didn't look like it was filling up. Nice deep well. Feel like I can recomend this one already.

How is the airflow compared to the magma? I wanted a magma for a long time, but when I got it I was terribly disappointed. It was like trying to vape through a coffee stirrer.

Hey jxn glad to see this I was about to pull the trigger on a used one but wasn't sure. What the heck is up with their site though, it's slow and you cant really see anything they have typed on there.

Is the air adjustment still click ring?

Checked up on it, Origin Vapes was out of stock on it so went with a different vendor and ordered one in. Seems about the only difference they are saying over the V1 is the removable top, larger holes for wire and better insulator.

There are 4 choices for airflow. The next to the smallest is comparable to the Magma. It doesn't leak either.

I was surprised it sold out so quickly. I got serial number 0138 and ordered the morning it first appeared. Glad it has better insulation because the included drip tip got pretty warm as it is.

Rubbish...I saw "Holmes" and expected a 14" plonker shaped mod.

I was actually after the Viking RDA but they wont tell when the next batch is going through on those. I have been on a list for one for over a month and they make it sound as if it will be another couple months before they make them again. The D8 is basically the same as the Holmes but at 3+ times the cost. I may still pick up Viking when they re-release it.

If the Holmes is pretty decent I will be ordering a second one since I know my wife will steal this one once it shows up.

I have had the holmes for a lil while now (octberish) I had a few posts on it. I love it it's a great lil rda. I may even buy a second one. The other half has stolen mine and won't give it back. But this thing is a tank and I have had no problems with leaking at all.
