Running a Pulse with Apocalypse clone. Currently using dual parallels, 26 agw, 7 wraps, ss316l, @ .24 ohms. Low ramp up but so-so flavor. Tried a fused Clapton last night I do not know the specs. on it but it was pretty small and .24ish ohms. I had hopped it would ramp up pretty quick but no go. Any suggestions? Maybe I should just use a single coil rsa?

Dual N80 4 core Aliens. 38g over 4x28g. No ramp up, phenomenal flavor! Example pictured.

Are your coils lined up with the air holes? That makes a difference in large chambered attys. You could also try raising or lowering them.
I have a couple where if the coils aren't placed just right I'll get massive clouds but very muted flavor.
As for single coil, I've read the Wasp Nano is superb for flavor. I'm getting good flavor outta my Recurve no matter what kind of coil I run.

I have a wasp nano, wotofo blittzz, sxk hadaley clone all great flavor. I just like the looks of the apocalypse clone on the pulse. Have moved the coils around also heavy cotton to reduce chamber size. With fused claptons on a regulated mod this rda shines.

Go 4.5 wraps, I put that exact build in my bf's Pulse (1st version) the other night - 316L, 26awg, 2x parallel, dual coil, seems like 0.09 ohm or summat, Pulse sucks out a lot of voltage

I use Killer coils in everything I have. No ramp up and fast cool down. Big dense clouds with excellent flavor. My wife has an Engine on a Nunchaku and it works great at 40watts. Noone out there makes these coils except the one builder. He is the coil sponsor for Circumstance Vapes on youtube.

Thanks for the info. We have some great coil builders right here at VU, so consequently I can not see going anywhere else to buy coils. Thank you again though.

I will try it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Ramp up is not my current issue with the dual parallels I am currently using it is flavor.

That's cool. Like I said there is no one out there anywhere that makes Killer coils. They are definitely unique to the market and they work. Just thought I'd mention it. I hope you find something that works for you.

Well, I sure hope you're referring to an obscure, unknown builder that is selling these "Killer Coils" and not that "Demon Killer Coils" garbage... Plus, if he is the "coil sponsor" for a YouTube channel with 285 subscribers, I would need to see his product and test them against my own product before I could either endorse his work along with you, or publicly denounce his work for any reason. Then, I would want brother @raymo2u to inspect and test this product; and if my tests and his were similar, then all would be well in my book. I, as well some of my friends, have humbly earned reputations among this community as builders and suppliers of reliable, quality, and aesthetically pleasing coils for several years now. I know many of the "celebrity" builders; so, if I haven't heard of their work, they are either new to the trade, or not skilled enough at it to be producing a product that would grab my attention. Attached is some photographic reference of my work that has been placed in the care of my friends here at VU.

No they are not Demon Killer garbage. I'm sure he'd be happy to sell you as many coils as you'd like to buy. Nobody is arguing with the quality of your coils. You make beautiful coils for sure.

Oh, no I wasn't insinuating that his coils were in any way inferior; just never heard of him is all. I'm just very cautious about unknown people's coils. My good friend and customer @MannyScoot was buying good looking coils from an individual claiming his coils were something they absolutely were not. He was passing off what was likely Stainless Steel welding wire (304 or lower grade probably) as SS316L. Well his resistance claims didn't jive with my math or the math of any coil calculator, so Manny and I called him on it. Of course, he tried arguing his point even though it defied the laws of physics. I supplied Manny with the coils he was seeking, and supposedly getting from that other person. Manny installed them and discovered the wonders of using coils that match not only mathematics, but matched his wants and needs.

I like using old rusty fence wire to make my coils, they sure taste like they've been marinated as soon as I put the juice on ;):D
These are for series mods :vino:

Have you tried N90 wire? Some 3 Core 28g/36g N90 Aliens in 5 Wraps/3mm ID may be what you need. I like the very bottom of the coils lined up with the middle of the airflow holes as the air travels up and it forces the air completely around them.

Rusty fence wire or not; those are some high quality wraps raymo!

To the OP; you would do well to entertain @raymo2u's commentary. He definitely has at least a little knowledge about coils and wire! Jk! raymo knows his craft folks!

Here is what i know. The coils i have gotten from vaperoxx are quality and perform flawlessly. Leaving no questions as to are they what he claims them to be. I do prefer to make my own coils but that is only due to the fact that i enjoy building and like seeing my progress in building quality coils. Should i ever need coils i wouldnt want or need to go any further than vu to find them. I would put our talented builders coils up against any coil any1 says is the best. Hell i would even bet $ on it.

I want to try my hand at building, but I just don't have the time to get started. At a point now where I would like to get some high quality coils from good builders, what would be the best way to purchase some from @vaproxx or someone else that is a VU member?

Sounds reasonable.

Sounds like elitist horse shit. Pretty shallow reply. Thanks for nothing.
Well hmmm... I've been building coils longer than Demon Killer. I've always built my coils by hand. I've always used top of the line materials. I've always offered a satisfaction guarantee with my coils. I have yet to actually provide replacement coils to a customer based upon that satisfaction guarantee. If that makes me an elitist, and qualifies my former reply as "horse shit" and "shallow" because I injected a little humor into a 100% accurate summation based upon known facts to a question asked; hey, I'll take it! Thank you! I have never been termed an elitist, even as an attempted insult. So today, I will walk around with my chest out a little further and my head a little higher, after finally achieving elitist status! That's awesome!

Arrogance is not a virtue.

I didn’t ask about your coils. You gave no actual reason for saying they are garbage. Made in China and made by a machine doesn’t automatically mean something is garbage. And machines are inconsistent? If you want to actually explain why they’re so terrible I would love to hear it. If you just want to talk shit about someone else’s product, not justify your claims, say why you’re product is so great and then talk shit to me for asking a serious question, well, I guess continue to display your level of professionalism to a forum of potential customers. Well played. Good luck.

Well, I seemed to have stirred a negative attitude in you, and for that I apologize. It was truly not my intention. But I stand behind my statements.

#1 I'm positive that the CEO of the factory that produces Demon Killer coils does not concern themselves with sourcing the highest quality raw materials (wire) available.

#2 I'm positive that the poor Chinese folks that work in the sweat shop factory producing Demon Killer coils for pennies a day, do not place your satisfaction and premium vape experience at the forefront of their motivations to provide you with these products.

#3 I'm positive that when, during you use of Demon Killer coils, if you come across a single coil that does not meet with your standards, Demon Killer will not furnish you a single replacement coil (not to mention some "bonus coils" for your trouble) on their own dime, including shipping.

#4 I'm positive as a builder that specializes in Alien coil variations, that I know the intricacies of the methods required to produce such coils. Setting up a machine to replicate those methods is not impossible, but achieving the quality build standards of the human hand in this type of work is not only unlikely, it is near impossible.

#5 I'm positive that you, as a prospective customer of Demon Killer coils, you have no ability to reach out to someone; one on one, and have a quantity of coils custom built, to an agreed upon specification between yourself and the builder, that maximizes your vape experience, based upon your atomizer(s), power and resistance needs and wants, as well as your overall desired performance expectations.

Again, I apologize for establishing any negative rapport with you over my post. It was not my intention. I was merely stating what many coil purchasers have already found out, the hard way, in a humorous (to me anyway) manner. Any criticism that I have provided in this particular post can be attested to by my fellow handmade coil builders.

So as far as the actual product is concerned, they suck because inferior materials are probably used. Reasonable analysis and what I wanted to know. Everything else was unnecessary.

@Nebbers What are you looking for?

Apologies, I did not see this mention before. Tbh, not too set on a coil type... just wanted to try something actually handmade and good quality that would compliment my everyday attys. Vaperoxx is making me some aliens, so eagerly awaiting them! Hopefully I get them before I leave on vacation sunday morning, but if not I will have that to look forward to upon returning home. Will also be my first experience with nichrome.

I find Ni80 Aliens or Fraliens to ramp pretty quick and offer amazing flavor. I think one of the major things is that you have enough surface area with each wrap. Even if it’s just a 4.5 wrap coil.

Actually, Boomstick, you did ask. And once I answered your question, you didn't like the answer, or the method in which I answered it, labeling it as "elitist horseshit". We here at VU welcome different opinions and usually enjoy a humorous post. Even after I clarified that my post was not intended to bring about any I'll feelings, you continued to make snide remarks such as "everything else was unnecessary". Then a longtime VU member and friend which is a very gifted coil builder, reaffirms my comments and you claim that we're "stroking each other". With that stage set, I'm going to impart to you some advice.

#1 Understand that you're welcome here, but this is a forum geared toward adults.

#2 If you can't be an adult, and insist on taking exception to any opinion that conflicts with yours and get your tiny little snowflake feelings dashed, then run along over to ECF where your like-minded friends are waiting for you.

#3 If you don't have something of value to add, or the ability to add that value without being personally condescending to other members, then don't add anything.

So the conversation here are demon killer coils as good as our talented builders coils? Lmao
I have both shreds and vaperoxxs in use atm. If demon killer was on par with their quality i doubt any of us would feel the need to build our own, wed just buy good coils on the cheap.
I will say this one time and leave it at that. THERE IS NO COMPARISON. If mas produced china crap is your thing and you are delusional enough to think they are of good quality than you have never truly enjoyed a coil of amazing QUALITY.!

Keep sucking each other’s dicks. Pay attention idiots.
What’s so bad about the demon killer coils?
All I asked. What the fuck does that question have to do with another product? Nothing. Fucking “talented builder” bullshit. Nobody asked anyone to explain how cool they are. So if I ask why a Harley sucks so bad, the appropriate answer is to talk about how they’re shit cause you build awesome custom bikes? Stay in your tiny little world where you’ve declared yourselves king. Good luck.
