Ants and eliquid?

Anybody notice ants being attracted to eliquid or more specifically, VG?

Been home for a few weeks and never saw an ant on my desk. Did some mixing, a friend came over and we were doing vape related stuff, did get vg/eliquid on my desk both from mixing and from used RDAs and bottles dripping eliquid, and now I'm finding ants. Not a lot of them, just constantly seeing a few wondering around. Wondering if they are attracted to the VG since it is sweet.

It is the time of year for ants to invade in many parts of the country.
And yes they could be attracted to VG or flavorings.
They taste horrible to vape. One got down in my RDA one day....

Or maybe you have a Vicious Ant mod?

I leave my MOD on the table in the back when I am doing the lawns and never had ants go for it but I have had Bees go for it. Almost took a big hit once but I happened to see the yellow and black in the Drip Tip before I put it in my mouth. Fired it and he took off like a bandit~!

I just came back from a week long outdoor camping trip with my family. I left a rig out overnight on a picnic table and there were ants all over it the next morning. I use all vg, no pg, and I vape unflavored. Figured it had to be the vg as that stuff is kind of sweet tasting. I doubt if the ants were interested in the nic.

I am going to do an experiment next ant colony I see by putting a drop or two of e-Liquid, VG, PG and Nicotine near it to see what happens. Should be interesting.

Anyone make citronella ejuice?
Skeeters are horrible here.

I've wondered about that as well. But true citronella is an oil from a plant so may not be good for vaping. Quick and short google check shows lung damage from inhalation and it's banned in the EU for health reasons. Shouldn't be hard to make an eliquid that smells like citronella, but I doubt it would have the same effect as the actual oil due to the chemical differences.

nicotine is used as an insecticide, check your local hardware store, in the pest control section

i guess it only works on certain insects?
