Does anyone have any suggestions for some good single coil RDA’s? I used to build 24/7 I had several mods & a couple dozen rda’s but I grew bored of it and quit I also unfortunately went back to cigarettes and gave away/ sold all of my gear and now I really want to get back into it and get the hell away from these nasty cigarettes but tbh I don’t even know where to start lol especially with the amount of stuff that’s on the market now.

I love my dual coil builds but I’ve always heard single coil was where it’s at for flavor and it’s something I never really experimented with all that much so I figured I’d try playing around with single coil builds for awhile

Asmodus has a few single coil rda’s that are really good. The C4 rda has a nice deck and fantastic flavor. The Blank rda is another, the Bunker is a solid choice and the Galatek rda seems nice but I’ve never personally tried. The other three I’ve used and any of them would make a great addition for single coil rda’s. Asmodus makes some great gear, especially their atomizers. Good luck, I hope you find one you love that helps vaping take and get you off the cigs for good.

There are so many good ones! I'll chime in on the Asmodus C4. My next favorite that's fairly easy to find is the Wotofo Elder Dragon (Ryujin).

These are both restricted DL. The only MTL RDA I've tried was a Geekvape Ammit. You have to really mean MTL on that thing. The draw on it is extremely tight. I didn't like it at all, even though I'm normally a fan of fairly restricted air. That Ammit was extreme.

For me, the Citadel rules supreme.

That said, the C4, Entheon, Hadlay, Drop Solo, Axial and Vapefly Pixie are also very, very nice. :)

Haku Venna (clone or authentic), Gas Mods GR1, Gas Mods Nova, Nudge 22, Entheon (clone or authentic), FLVR (clone or authentic), and Recurve are all great choices.

For flavor my GR1 and Venna both deliver with authority, as long as you get coil placement right.

Squonking? Dripping? Both?
C4 (VaporRange) and ReLoad S are my go to's for squonk. With C4 you'll drip often and the S holds more juice. Both tons of flavor.
Axial (Cloudist.Store) is really good with single coil as well. Holds a lot of juice and I drip single around .3Ω and lower. Not as good as the other 2 for squonk but the flavor is super.

A lot of good options mentioned above, but personally have and use the Drop Solo and Wotofo Recurve, both single coil and airflow control.

If we knew what kind of airflow you like (restrictive, semi restrictive, wide open) we could probably help you narrow down the options.
Or simply replace all the options with a totally different one that isn't so ultimately boring that it makes folks go back to cigarettes... lol

The only RDAs that are designed to be purely single coil that I actually like are the Deathtrap RDAs (that is, both the 24mm and the 30mm version, depending on mood and what setup I want to use), from the brand called Deathwish Modz. I also have the new Deathtrap II RDA on order, which is a 26mm.

Or, we could hear what the OP is actually interested in... maybe that could work?

And strangely, I seem to see more people using (and successfully staying off of cigarettes) with the "boring" (as you so gracefully put it) options that were already mentioned previously in this thread, rather than a huge 30mm single coil RDAs on the market that a large amount of the community find to be more of a novelty rather than a daily driver.

But I'm sure you will chime back in with some heavily opinionated, long winded explanation of why you are right and everyone else needs to "see the light" on your opinion of a heavily subjective matter.

But I digress. I shall not be responding to you on this subject, as I don't like to feed the trolls. But I will leaving something here for you that you may find useful.

The "lol" part of my reply already suggests that. Getting 14 replies without anyone asking what vaping style the OP likes really is typifying of the VU so pardon my sarcarm, but I wasn't trying to argue against you in any way... just seriously laughing my butt off... twice.

I had a couple dozen rda’s.
I love my dual coil builds.
If that means MTL I'll eat my hat on Main St and give you an hour to draw a crowd.
After that was..

...style HAS been asked.
As for as AF, that has been addressed by what's been suggested, at least for most mainstream single coil RDA's, and as evident of...
Thanks for all the recommendations guys I’ve got a TON of reviews to sift through now lmao

It's a conversation. One that anyone can join in on with whatever RDA opinion they have. And should be able to do so without being admonished.

Of course it has been asked. That is, after a full dozen of replies none of which have asked so... one has got to seriously start to wonder why that is.

I did join in with whatever RDA opinion I have. And was not able to do so without being admonished so thanks for proving my point about that part I guess. :D

I don't guess at all. Rather, I simply read what's already been posted, here:
Some folks don’t take much to get butt hurt. Let’s all try to be more sensitive to our fellow vapers. Next time this happens no matter who or what is said, find a mirror, sit down in front of it, and repeat after me “My setup is the best setup, all other setups pale in comparison” wash, rinse, and repeat if necessary.

I already did sit in front of a mirror. Which is why I don't agree with the generalised message carried by the idea of "if it works for me, it must work for others", and, your criticism aimed towards me isn't going to change the fact still nobody did care to ask how big ARE those dual coil builds that the OP likes... their size and cloud production could be anything ranging in between midget coil porn and the giant, shiny, mirror-like fuck you that you deserve because instead of living up to your own advice looking into the mirror you failed to even acknowledge the reply I got re my comment about the 30mm version was just a typical strawman argument, as I never claimed that I use that for my everyday vaping setup so please, be my guest and keep barking up the wrong tree here all you want, because I'm actually still laughing so hard in fact it's making my entire body hurt... not just my butt.

Does anyone have any suggestions
My suggestion is that the best way to determine the confines of your own personal comfort zone is to take a small step outside that which most people are trying to force you to believe will be your own personal comfort zone. I don't care if a ham sandwich is what keeps people off cigarettes so whatever you decide, please... take my valuable piece of advice, and, don't shit in front of a mirror. :)

I’m loyal to my Hadaly RDA. The Hadaly is extremely easy to build and the flavor can’t be beaten or matched imo. I always run a 3.5 ID, 10 wrap spaced 26g kanthal coil in it flush against the deck. I have 30 other “flavor” RDAs and they just can’t compete with the flavor.

my goto's for single are
hussar rda
hussar rdta (looks like a rda but has a hidden 2ml tank inside it)
Hadaly
the castle Rda
all the others have been given away these are my top ones dated perhaps but they are good

i will be shot at dawn for this but....

a og goon on single coil air flow with a chunky coil is rather lovely ;) and flavour is up there and big clouds but i use a old limitless plus rdta coil blocker upside down in the unused side to reduce the chamber

placebo perhaps but i like it that way :)

Oh wow I just checked back on this thread Jesus H. Christ I wasn’t expecting this many replies lol. As far as the arguments go I really like any kind of draw Direct lung, restricted lung, MTL it’s all good to me although in hindsight It was ME who should have been more specific about this in the first place since it was my post sorry should have given more information. I’m more partial to direct lung hits but I was looking for single coil atty’s with a more restrictive lung hit since I’ve heard that makes for better flavor. I ended up getting the Oumier Wasp Nano RDA and im still trying to figure out coil placement and wicking as of right now but I know that’s user error because I have gotten a taste of the flavor this rda can produce just not consistently at all. Thanks again for the help everyone who replied!

I would wager no-one would be bothering to still make DUAL coil flavor chasing RDAs if what you heard was anywhere close to having been written in stone... let alone bother to design spanking new ones. For a smooth and fairly restrictive direct lung hit that isn't single coil, IMO check out the newly released Asgard Mini RDA by Vaperz Cloud.

I want that Asgard Mini. Just don't like to pre-order. Could b good w/1 coil too, with creative wicking.

Wonder if @jwill will carry that one at Cloudist? I like the looks of it, too!

I will at some point. They are sold out of all of the asgard stuff in wholesale.

That's just the next shipping date that's due to the fact it's going to be independence day today so they didn't have time to ship it sooner. :p
Then they stopped shipping last week or earlier.:D And everyone else that has it isn't shipping it right now either:p

That's because it was sold out almost everywhere within a matter of only days... with most of the good stuff from Vaperz Cloud this is considered perfectly normal TBH.

Yeah, the better stuff seems to come out in smaller batches. Do you have it?

If you want to run a larger more exotic coil, like a framed staple, The Recurve is your best bet. It has a lot of airlfow for a single coil RDA, but it's just enough air for a huge coil. I cannot express enough how well the Recurve vapes with that type of setup, just as good as a dual coil.

The Asmodus C4 has a little less AF than the Recurve. It can still handle a quad-core clapton, don't get me wrong, but it cannot handle larger more exotic coils in my experience.

The B2K is a great single coil RDA too.

I never really liked the Wasp Nano (gasp!). But so many people have praised it that I've decided that it's probably just me. Luckily there is lots of info on coil placement on the web, since it's possibly thr most popular single coil from the past few years.

Blitz Ghoul although kind of strange looking has been my go to single coil rda lately. I do also like my sxk Hadlay and my Wasp.

I know that @CaFF recently got a Ghoul and really liked it. Price was right at VaporRange, too.

Are you squonking it by chance? I've been eying these for a while but those low placed air inlets concern me.

Yep squonking them all. There is a learning curve with each. All will leak if over-squonked. I tend to pull my caps occasionally to check my wicks. Especially with the Bastion mod. Still learning.
