Texas governor signs law increasing the age to buy tobacco products to 21

Abbott on Friday signed the legislation, which covers cigarettes, e-cigarettes or other tobacco products. The only exception to the law is for those in the military.

Will people from TX now have to be 21 to be on vape/tobacco boards?

Current forum rules state you must be an adult, defined as a person age 18 or older. Says nothing about being 21, or 19, or any other age to accommodate these phony laws states make up in a futile effort to stop teenagers from smoking or vaping

The law still sucks for Texas though.

I think a few other states have done that also or tried to at least

IMO, they do it to detract attention from worse social ills; in this incredibly PC world, it is still okay to pick on nicotine users

Far too many alcoholic leaders for them to pick on alcohol which actually causes many problems and deaths of the innocent as well.
Vapers and smokers are a minority and thus an easy target for their distraction and to give the illusion that they actually care about the welfare of the citizens.

So now at least 15 and over a hundred local govts as well.

so you are able to vote and make laws affecting other people, but you can't decide for yourself whether or not to smoke or vape.

When in Texas and I was 17 about to be 18 and legal age was 21, they changed it from 21 to 18 right before I turned 18.
During the year I was 21, they changed it back to 18
