Welcome and congratulations!
Try starting on a single coil rta or rda. Winding and installing the coil is the easy part, wicking an rta has a bit of a learning curve. Fairly easy to master in the newer attys.

I stared with a MIG with replacable filters.
then the Vivi nova with pen type battrys.

THEN da cloud chaser..
Best of them all.

has a coil you screw in.
yet the youtube vids that show the rebuildable ones sure trip my trigger.

and there is somthing about the bunny

makes me giggle and wanna check it out.

Just keep in mind that a dual coil RTA will usually have a slightly steeper learning curve when compared to a single, but you seem to be up for it.

Hey there Bunny! Welcome to VU!

You wanna take a look at "The Daily Mixing Thread," which is in DIY E-Liquid under General Discussion.

Also there is a New Builders Corner where you can read, learn, and ask questions about building.

If you want to learn stuff, you've come to the right place. These folks taught me to mix liquid and wrap coils and build atties, too. Any questions, just ask, and someone will help you figure it right out.

Congrats on giving up the smokes! Ya done good!

Actually I did it all by hand~! Had the wood clamped down to an old table top on two saw horses and drilled the holes with a cordless drill. I do have a 16 or 32 speed drill press in the garage but mostly use it for metal. It does have a tilting table and a special vise grip attacked to the table.

My father was a Cabinet Maker by Trade and I learned from the best, but followed my own path and became and Auto Mechanic and Shop Owner. Although I still fix my own vehicles I left that trade and now enjoy doing woodwork more than I do pulling the intake manifold of my truck to change the poorly designed gaskets~!

Me too and it took weeks of searching Antique Shops and second hand stores. Turned out my buddy had it at the museum and it was 3 blocks away after I drove a hundred miles.
The journey to get makes it even better.

@DaBunny nice to meet someone else who knows how to use a tool~! I learned a very long time ago it isn't the tool it is the person using them~!
I grew up in a house were it was unheard of to hir anyy1 to fix or build something. A garage full of tools and a woodshop in the basement. Ive always worked with my hands. Rite now im on break at my job, a metalfab/machine shop.

I was taught if you can do it but if it will take longer than hiring a professional you must know when you make a call. I might be able to handle the job but sometimes it is more cost effective or just more convenient to hire someone.

as in faids fast.
WOW POWERFUL use sparlingly.

is there a room around here of flavor profiling..

I FOUND da worlds worst flavors room. Thats funny.. yuck yuck yuck

and went threw the list..

yet did not find anything that broke down say DRAGON FRUIT
and gave you an opinion of each manafacture.

so i suppose am looking for the color charts of flavors.

{{ this makes sence if ya ever worked around a paintstore}
THEY HAVE RACKS an RACKS of color charts.

and even more important at THIS moment,,,

I scooted.. and chanced upon http://vapingunderground.com/threads/raspberry-custard.461479/
RASPBERRY CUSTARD. yum yum
60 ML Bottle;

80/10 mix at 3MG nicotine is my taste, you may like it different.

I use drops as measurement, however converting it isn’t hard.

TFA: Vanilla Custard- 70 Drops

TFA: Bavarian Cream- 25 Drops

TFA: Marshmallow- 20 Drops

TFA: French Vanilla Cream- 25 Drops

TFA: Whipped Cream- 20 Drops

Purilum: Raspberry- 60 Drops

Purilum: Super Sweet- 12 Drops

I have almost everything there/
not the FRENCH vanilla
and found the whip cream can have a tainted milk taste to me so tend to shy away.

yet WHY NOT GO FOR IT
rasberry custard.jpg

SURE SMELLS GOOD..
time will tell.

You're making me want to do some mixing. I don't have any more room for mixed-up juice!

Found a Pancake Man clone recipe this morning on ELR, adapted it to flavors I have on hand, and jazzed it up a little, now I am chomping at the bit to mix it. I'm also about out of Tutti Frutti gum, which is making me nervous. :)

ok lets let my newbeeness SHINE..
what the heck are you saying by some of the words..
I read them in other rooms yet its forign as to the meaning and websters dictionary
aint much help eather.

takes another sip of coffee.

lets see when you say....

There's also the Dead Rabbit SQ RDA for squonking

the three words that are stumping me is
SQ NO IDEA what that means
RDA { think it has somthing to do with RDA RTA i have seen in rebuildable coils}
if so then is one option better then the other
yet clueless to what it REALLY refers to.
and
SQUONKING

NO IDEA think its slang for puffing on a vaper.

There's also the Dead Rabbit SQ RDA for squonking

SQ is what the company making the Dead Rabbit RDA, which is a dripping atomizer, decided to use to differentiate the bottom feeding version of the RDA. Squonking is using a mod that has a juice bottle built in, squeezeing the bottle and sending juice up the tube into the RDA. It's kind of reverse of dripping, where you carry a bottle of juice around and drip into the RDA. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages. :)

5683100-3.jpg

This is one of the squonking mods I use. It uses an 18650 battery shoved into the aluminum under the fire button. The hole cut out lets you reach grubby fingers or paws around and squeeze / squonk the juice bottle mounted directly under the connector for the RDA. This is a mechanical mod, no wires or circuits to get all fouled up, simple. :)

The term squonk comes from the sound of the juice after filling the wick of the RDA, going back down through the RDA's 510 pin & the air, pressure released from squeezed the plastic/silicone bottle. There's also other less polite explanations for the term squonking but I'll just let those get found out if you really want and go looking yourself. *chuckles* I like dripping but at the same time don't want to have to carry an external bottle, just seems kind of redundant, silly to me. Don't care much for tanks now either so, squonking it is for me.

Dripping / RDAs versus Tanking / RTA ... I really cannot say one is better or worse, only from my own view. Tanks didn't give me flavor but I have limited sense of taste and congenital anosmia. Besides that I'm not exactly a cloud chaser but yes, it's nice to halfway fill a room with vapor on exhale at times. I like the texture of vapor which might seem a bit odd. Tanks hampered that as well. I also get good direct lung hits from an RDA. I could do lung hitting on tanks but it was a bit troublesome in the doing.
