That one new guy into vaping.

Hi guys! My name is Lolo and I'm fairly new to vaping! I've made the choice to step aside from tobacco and be choose the lesser evil that would be vaping, I currently own 2 starter kits my first one I bought last year this was the revenger x and bought it with some nasty juice flavors, I gotta admit the "fat boy" flavor from NJ wow amazing, the first puffs I had were unbelieveble I remember that I never primed I just let it sit and in an hour it was ready (mostly because I forgot and did not started insta vaping) it was all great until a day passed. Yes a day.. and I was having my first experience with burnr flavor.. I felt cheated I just bought this to try and quit smoking and everything is plotting againts me to make me continue smoking, long story short I remember having a coil that had 4 slots and the replacement one had 2. I changed to the new one and to avoid conflict I poked holes to it and never experienced tje ossue again, some time later I stop vaping and that was just there getting some good old dust, again I cambe back after 4 months same coil and bought some flavors, they were tasting good to be honest but I felt I needed more. I bought turtoise blood on ice from shinji I would say I love this flavor on my old revenger x but payday got the best from me and decided to go for a voopoo drag gold version, this one comes with 2 uforce 0.4 i believe and I was like ok I'm going to prime this guy and then fill the tank, what could go wrong if my old revenger with old coil tasted really good this woulf be godlike on this new kit, I was so wrong.I now experienced the flavor of brand new fresh from the factory burning cotton.. weird I believe I primed that first coil well.. Did not got the results I expected from my new toy but well you know how it goes, I poked some holes on it to make the trick but to no avail. I felt the flavor for about 10 mins and then nada nothing finito.. now I soaked a little bit the other replacement coil because apparently I think that I screwed my new coil day 1 once again.. with the juice and fill up the tank let there to sit for an hour and tried again but its just the icy sensation and no flavor at all. Hands down I actually do not know what I'm doing wrong I even resourced to go to a forum to share my experience and in hope that I could find sn answer to my bad experience. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Yes I tried little by little watts
No no poked holes on second coil (replacement)
Yes I dont know how to use the voopoo drag
Yes Im sad my old revenger had better flav and old coil

Pd: Also I bought juice roll upz carnival lemonsde and it tastes like Im about to die 0 lemonade and tasted like chemistry class, also bought candy king worms.. wow I feel played by this 2 juices both of them are weak and bad, bought them on ejuice.deals.com

I tried ivg summer blaze from a friend man thats my kind of flavor

IMG-20190523-WA0052.jpeg today i received this and today i felt a let down so big, this 2 juices I thought they were going to be my holy grail, unfortunately I disliked both and the shijin tortoise blood on ice stands still. Worms doesnt feel like sour worms and the other one just.. wow so bad. What if my juice came bad? The expiration date looks ok on both, what if my mod is bad.. please help

For today Im gonna let it sit overnight :( maybe I've been getting some drops on my toungue because of sucking to see if the cotton getd wet i dunno, but definetly no flavor

Hello and welcome.
Tell us what watts you are using. Watch a couple videos and learn the settings on your devices, you should be in power/wattage mode with the coils you have.

Hi, welcome.
Are you using the recommended wattage printed on the coils?
You could just be burning through them really fast

Some juice flavors are just not going to taste good to you - I'd get what flavor worked for you before and always have some on hand, and experiment with other flavors if you wish, but keep at least one juice you know you like on hand

You said you tried the low wattage and creeping up, once but 80 watts is on the high side, stop creeping up when the vape is satisfactory, the flavor is likely one you don't like despite what is says on the bottle

Good luck on the journey you are on and welcome to the forum

A coil should mark say.. recommended 50-80. Try it at 65.

Ive found sometimes bumping up the wattage changes the flavour or takes away one flavour from another.

So I let the coil soaked overnight, not helping at all 80 or 65 watts, I could possibly be experiencing vapers tongue or just maybe just my new mod is faulty?

The mod itself will have very little to do with flavor, it only controls the wattage

The atomizer and coil have the biggest role in delivering vapor and flavor

You could try your revenger tank on your drag. Could be the coils you were using in your revenger that made the difference.

Looks like the revenger came with 0.15ohm coils. And now your using 0.4ohm coils.

Maybe try a coil at 0.15ohms. Im not sure if the coils from your revenger is compatible with your drag.

@TheApprentice , Can you post a picture of how your coil/s look in the atomizer/s? Sometimes if wick material is too much it can mute flavors. Not sure of all the exact science to it, just know it works like that at times. I like to leave at least a rough .5 to 1 mm hole going through the coil at the top part open. This lets me be sure the airflow can help the wick to stay wet but vape and give off good flavor.

Pretty sure he is using factory coils...

Usually defaulting to crammed tight with wick then, manufacture or user
not knowing. Not judging only observing. If you're new you're not going
to know good wick methods.

Not a blame in this at all, is what it is, a person being new and not
knowing. Nothing to blame. The person is asking for knowledge. So I/we
give knowledge.

This also is not intended as condescending. It is only stating what
is going on, a matter of fact in writing. Am I omitting anything of
importance, not causing any fear or discomfort?

I wonder, imagine I will wonder all the time. The other possibility is
I don't communicate at all in saving myself and others the difficulty it
proves to do. I don't say that with any attitude or negativity. It is it
what it is, communicating keeps becoming more and more difficult.

Oh yes, I'm also not saying my way is best or the only way. Forgot
to add that qualifier, remembered and so here it is.

I know I write well. Ergo, I know that miscommunication is not all my
error. Yes, I'll admit a share, not all. Place the onus of all onto me
well then, why would I want to bother communicating, why would anyone?

And yes, at times it does seem the onus is placed on someone
offering advice, or even anyone communicating. Wonder we all
don't walk around shell shocked from the written beatings we take,
real or perceived so.

Welcome @TheApprentice and I hope you enjoy your stay~!!

Prime the coils and start at lower wattage working your way up until you find your sweet spot. Just because 80W is recommended doesn't mean you must vape at that wattage.

I don't know how anyone fairly new to vaping could stand to vape at 80 watts. After five years of MTL vaping, I'd have choked to death on 80 watts. I might choke on 80 watts right now.

Personally, I'd try the 0.4 ohm coil at about 35-40 watts with airflow about halfway open. The airflow has more to do with flavor than a lot of folks think.

Start with a new coil that you KNOW is not burnt. Once burnt, you are not going to get that nasty taste out of the cotton.

Prime the coil properly. Put a few drops of liquid into all the openings on the sides of the coil, and down into the coil from its top. Assemble your tank and once it has liquid in it, let it sit for at least 15 minutes before you apply heat to the coil EVEN ONCE.

It is not necessary to use so much power in order to get a good vape. If anything, you are just going to go through coils, liquid, and batteries at an accelerated rate.

Ive had a batch of factory coils before.

I was using the baby prince tank, loved it. Used all the coild that came with it. When they finished i bought a new pack of coils. Out of 5, 3 had no flavour and pretty much burnt up with a good few pulls on it.

At first i wasnt getting flavour. Let it sit, try again. Tried adjusting wattage and airflow. Nothing helped and started to get burnt taste. Pulled out the coil, it looked like i used it for a week already.

It is no secret that a lot of Smok's coils are just shit.

Agreed. There's a lot of different little things which culminate for producing a a good vape experience. there's so much subjectivity involved too. This is part of why I laugh when someone asks, "what's the best X?" There's no way anyone can offer a sincere, objective answer to such a question. First you need to define best for yourself.

Quick let me ask anyone instead, what's the meaning of life? I already know. I need to supply meaning for myself. You need to supply your own meaning. Nobody can tell you what that will be. Nobody defines you but you. It's the same in asking about the best of anything.

Oh no! I thought they said 4-0-2 !!! No wonder things have been wonky.

At least it wasn't 404. :) Apologies for wiping away previous post in this edit. I realized that I was straying a bit too much from vaping. :) Need to keep myself a bit more in check. :)
