It is all pointless now, I just bid on a Vouking.....and it looks like I'm winning a $45 bid on a Griptillian mini :headbang:

Note to self, stop bidding on :poop: past 12:30 am after working all day and two glasses of mead with dinner!

The regular Link sells for close to $50! I had one in my cart too but I was waiting for the e-bay auctions to end before buying it. I'm buying the Link from another place it is on sale for $69.95, I think I'll get another Amplitude too, they're nice, light small EDC. Thanks for pointing it out, I had forgotten to look them up! So many knives, so little time....

This is what I just bought! https://kershawguy.com/products-pag...nk-1776blk-special-m390-model-knife-assisted/
It does sound like it will be a bit on the heavy side, but I like them!

Nice pick up... M390 will last you a LONG time...great steel.

Dude! I'm starting to look like a chemo patient! All the arm hair is gone and I've been contemplating the leg hair:confused:. It's almost gone on my arms, starting to grow in patches and my mom's damn cat runs every time I get close to it!

So now I'll have two M390 knives coming next week and my play money allotment is just about gone (till next payday ).

Slow down hot rod! ;)

Says the guy who has a CRK ordered direct...

Nice thing about that is, have 6 months to save up for it lol

No... but they have a back log and depending on the knife, custom graphics or in my case the Impinda... it normally is 4-6 months...and the Impinda is 6-8 right now
HMmmmmmm!!!! I HAVE to get the landscaping finished and that is one hell of a lot of money even with the drip irrigation system installed. I will definitely have to think on this though.

Did you order the Umnunzan?

Impinda...

Most knives from CRK are readily available, except for the Impinda... Tim Reeve on FB has said he is really far behind on them. A few here and there pop up for sale between 400-425... might as well order an unadulterated one BNIB for a few bucks more.

But CRK has purchased a few more machines to help the automation and their production...

Really curious what the hot new new is going to be for Shot Show 2019 and the 2020 release year.... He mentioned he has a new folder in the works being tested.

That's a slip joint and doesn't lock either (I had to read the description on their site), you're going waaay back old skool on that one. I'll have to wait and see what's coming up next.

Indeed its a slippy...

I don't exert enough pressure in a way to cause it to fold back... and many things about it I really like.

I still will probably pick up a small Inkosi pj

Personally, I can be the poster child for Klutz of the World United (sometimes) so I feel much better when there is a blade lock. That is one of the main reasons I use the Opinel hawkbill in my gardening attempts, all the others I found didn't have a blade lock though I didn't look very hard (meaning above $30).

I get that.

I just never worried much about that happening, blades are meant to be cutting one direction, not like I would use it in a twisting manner.

Guess that is also why I like fixed blade knives ...

And that is another animal in the knife game with endless styles and blade steels...at a much much cheaper price point also

Not to derail the knife thread but I'm thinking about a SXK Bantam Box instead trying to find a pod-style device that actually vapes well.

Gas City has them available for $85 after conversion with shipping included

I think thread derails are expected on this one. Is the Bantam the SXKBBMINIME? I'd be interested on your thoughts on it. What battery do they take, do you know?

It's basically a 18350 BB. 30 watts max, takes a normal size Boro, and the display is on top of the box next to the drip tip.

I'll probably sell a couple things to fund one.

It was $168 for the one I got Trevor...but he ordered the glass tank, bograt, drip tip, air flow discs

Holler if you want me to join a few lists for you also Jim.

There is no risk of both of us landing...if it happens, I’ll just either nab it for myself or let it pass in the cart.

Cool...

Only down fall it will run you $7.90 more than regular cost, since it will be shipped to me first

And total cost depends if you’re wanting to pay the DHL shipping or wait up to a month on the slow boat route.

I had Trevor Paypal me the cost+2 day flat rate. And I mailed it yesterday to him after it arrived at 2:55pm

I was teasing him half the day...

“Ooh I hear a delivery truck!”

Nope was ups...

Ooh another truck...

Nope was FedEx

Then when it arrived I told him...

Hmm package seems a lil thin...

He says open it! and FaceTime me

I just wanted to be the first to put my paws on it

I would definitely get the DHL option. Not that I'm impatient or anything

You know Trevor was checking that tracking number on the hour every hour! I know I would be.

You could get one of the ten dalla' ones from FT:confused:
Just messing with you. The authentic ones are very nice.

Got one of those bad boys already

That's what took me down that road!

I know you do, you told me what set you got from FT. The parts fit and the only difference I found, besides finish is the airflow inserts are shaped differently.

My Sebenza wannabe arrived today. I put a new edge on it at 18* Damn thing is stiffer than crap but it looks like I'll be looking for the real thing once my other expenses are taken care of.

When you sharpen the point of a blade, don’t go past the point, naturally the pressure of the movement will cause you to roll over it and round it...bring the stones half way over the tip

Also think you need to move the knife forward a bit more in the jaws...the heel of the grind looks closer to 20-21* where when you move towards the point the bevel probably gets closer to your 18

Looks good though for only sharpening a hand full of knives
