Thanks! It is tomorrow.
Just finished another episode of game of thrones. I'm going to miss this show!
I am seriously behind with that show LOL. I really need to catch up. I'm going to miss it when it's all done

Gramma used to make me liver and onions when I was a teen, with a fried egg and toast. Yummers. :D

Well, here's my version for brekky: A bagel with Braunschweiger, onion powder, black pepper and a dash of Pequin salt. Added some pepperjack cheese and toasted it up. Sauteed some white onion, garlic, Fresno chile and dry parsley then added a beaten egg and shaped.

Not bad. :)

Just finished making blueberry muffins and a sheet cake with vanilla marshmallow frosting (for hubs b-day).
Birthday ended up with no pizza. My oven heating coil burnt out. The oven is from 1993 and hubs is going to fix it. He is looking for a bottom heating coil element. No chance for a new oven when your partner is Mr Fix-it!

We ended up eating grilled sausages and ate cake/muffins. I would have picked up a pizza but hubs is very fussy about eating restaurant food.

Dang. :(

My whole kitchen is circa 1970-80-something. :D

Ya seen it I'm sure: the yellow/orange colored stove and wood grain/chrome everywhere. But the upside is, good old shit don't die.
Beast appliances up in here. Bad part though is everything is on $$$ electric so I don't use the oven. Just the toaster/convection one, the range, the George Foreman grill, and the micro. Much slow-cookery as well.

Anything to save money, especially in summertime as the 14500BTU ancient AC eats money for lunch. It's the only original AC unit left in the building. The rest all got much smaller new ones.

On that note: I gave Tiki her morning treat/pill, she nommed it, took a litter break, and went right back to sleep. Just like an old human...lol.
I didn't even get to remove her treat dish in time and she about layed on it.

IMG_0357.jpg

All sprawled out 'cuz it's warm, around 75-80F today, but we got the fans on now. ;)

I got a little 'turbo' style one to cool the networking gear, an oscillating fan for the bed area, a big pedestal fan to cool the LR and blow the AC down the hall, a box fan to pull/push that cool air into the bedroom and a bigger metal turbo fan to cool the stereo amp/tv/computer in the LR.

We're good.

I just went to the appliance store and picked up a heating element. It's so easy to replace them..but I'll save it for hubs since I did the chasing to get item. :)

It is 50 degrees here in gloomy WI.

My cats sleep around 18 hours a day. I wish I was a cat sometimes. Tiki looks exhausted!

I have to tell y'all what I did the other day. I'm still shaking my head.

Hubbs had knee replacement surgery last Wednesday. Hubbs still smokes analogs. For three days in the hospital he did not smoke.

On the way home he started to want a cigarette. We stopped and got 2 packs of Camel Blues (what used to be Camel Lights hard pack). Cost something like $12.50.

Couple days later, he was out, so I stopped at a convenience store and bought two more packs. Cost $10.51.

A little over 24 hours later, he was out. I was pissed at that point. Had to drive all the way to town (about 15 miles one way) to buy cigarettes. I decided to buy a carton.

Sign said $45.42 for a carton. When I got the total it was $53.50.

FIFTY-THREE DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS.

Plus $12.50, plus $10.51.

SEVENTY-SIX DOLLARS AND FIFTY-ONE CENTS for fourteen packs of Camels. In Virginia, for Christ's sake, where cigs are supposed to be cheap.

Fourteen packs of Camels cost $16.00 more than my Squid Detonator.

Fourteen packs of Camels cost $1.81 less than my Squid Detonator plus my Augvape Intake RTA.

Never again will I feel bad about buying vape gear. Never.

Yikes! That is really a lot of money I do see smokes here is SE WI go from 8-10 bucks a pack plus all the extra taxes. Who can afford to smoke anymore?

I just disassembled, cleaned and lubed every fan in the Apt for the new season. I have six of them. o_O

A small sampling...two I stripped down right to the motor as they were full of cat-hair, dirt, dust and guck like the white one shown. The metal one had to be taken apart as the blades were miss-aligned and some screws were not tight on the mountings.

I'm filthy, sore, and tired. But, nice and cool.

Wow, I complain about spending a little under $7 for a pack of Marlboros for mom. I guess we have it lucky here in Texas, never saw that coming LOL.

FWIW, here's the rest of the fan cleaning pics.

The damn oscillator knob that I had to use needle-nose pliers to remove.

Before cleaning...ugh!

After:

She's like new again. :D

Enjoy that golden goodness that is Shiner Bock. One of my favorite beers. I still want to take the brewery tour. I have yet to get a chance to do it. Shiner makes allot of really good beers, Wicked Ram IPA and their Black Label just to give you a couple to hunt down and try. Enjoy my friend :)

It's warmer where you are than it is down South today! We've had temps in the 70s with occasional rain here. Would have been a good day to sleep, had other matters been quieter than they were.

Made a kinda fun breakfast today. :)

N7MGNlw.jpg

93Sc5nU.jpg

Brekky hash made with a cooked/diced russet potato, chopped cabbage, onion, garlic, diced Earl Campbell's 'Hot n Cheesy' Link Sausage, Jalapenos en Escabeche (with the yummy carrots), Mexican Basil, a dash of fennel powder, Pequin powder, and lots of fresh ground sea salt and pepper.

Served with cheesy SF sourdough toast and a fried egg with S&P and a bit of yellow curry powder on it. I just love that rich flavor with an egg! Topped with some Capt. Bravo Habanero sauce.

I ate about half, saving the rest for a snack later. Saves heating up the Apt. when it's hot. ;)

So its a win win in your favor. No more guilt after "acidentily" spend to much $vape$ on a wim. My wife adds up my vape$ spent. But buys cbd 3 times in the last month. And her 2 lbs of tobacco. But my vape costs r to much. Ffs it comes out to 30c a day. Minus gear. But atleast the gear lasts.

That's pretty much how it stacks up in my mind. No more guilt.

He doesn't give me a hard time about vape gear, never has. Just those looks sometimes, but even they have all but disappeared. The guilt came mostly from me beating myself up. Guess that situation the other day brought home to me how good a thing it was that I stopped smoking, in more ways than one.

Thing is, in a relationship like a marriage, two people each have something that they are determined to pursue, dedicated to if you will, it doesn't do the relationship any good at all for the two of them to keep score against each other. It just breeds resentment. I've made up my mind that as long as the law doesn't come in here and arrest me for vaping, I'm gonna vape, I don't care what anyone says. And he apparently feels the same way about smoking. I gave it the good college try, talking to him and trying to get him to quit. At some point you just have to go back to your own corner and mind your own business. Just don't anybody come into my corner, into my space, when I'm trying to just mind myself, you know? :)

Ihave tried and tried with my wife. Occasionally i get realy hope full cus she likes it on a here and there basis. But she refuses to give it a try. And i have to just respect that. It sucks. Wat gets me is that i dont complain about $ spent on her end but she pays atention to my $end. My $ is is higher prices but way less in times spent. Cus i stock up for 5 or 6 months of juice at a time. FRUSTRATING

I gain weight when I look at Caff's postings. The food looks very amazing! Survived the mad weekend at work. What could go wrong did go wrong!
My workday is in that exact constant state of affairs LOL. It rarely goes the way I need it.

This may sound weird but I will post it. I made a order Friday night from Lightening vapes. First time order. Never had a problem with my usual vendors. Today, someone tried to use my card (whoever). Luckily for me, I had my card turned off. However, I called my bank and had the card put on hold until I can get there tomorrow. I'll get a new card. Sadly, I won't be using this vendor again.

My wife and I have an agreement and I don't spend a ton on vape gear, but shedoesn't mind when I do. She understands that not only is it a hobby, it is my relief and my way to not smoke, so she's good with it as long as the bills are paid

Sounds more like there was a hack going on. I have used Lightning Vapes many times with zero issues. They even fixed an issue I was having over the phone with a wire gauge not being on their website, but they had in stock. That is very strange. Might ask the bank where the charge came from

New York and New Jersey. Its all good because I have my bank card set up when I am not using it no charges can be made. these are attempts and are declined. It is more of a inconvenience now. The 'hackers didn't get a dime but I have to get a new card. Luckily, the bank likes me. This is my second card in 3 years. Bastard thief got me the first card. Vaping is a high risk to order online. My bank raises the old eyebrow at my vape purchases.
P.S. I have instant access to all my bank transactions. A good thing to ward off the criminals.

If you like their wire and such, you can buy it on eBay and use Paypal. I've bought a bunch of their wire, but never ordered directly from them.

I've had fraudulent charges on my cards probably a dozen times over the past ten years. No rhyme or reason to it, as far as I've been able to tell. Someone bought $701.00 worth of stuff from Target one time. I have no clue how it happened.

For me, though, the number of times that's happened, it is probably a miracle that it hasn't happened more. I order virtually everything online, so have thousands of electronic transactions in a year.

Good luck with it. It is terribly inconvenient, having to change your card number in a hundred different places. Wouldn't you love to just get a chance to tell those damn people what you think of them, just for five minutes? :gaah:

Luckily, this account is set up as my online only account. I pay my cable bill and buy vape stuff. Thanks for the fyi on ebay and lightening vapes. I'll have to order though my hubs account because guess what? I had someone steal my identity and use a bank card to defraud me. I had them cancel my account that I never made. The hackers had balls!

That's good. It wasn't LV then. They are out of Florida. They are good people. Dine me right every time. Just didn't want to see anything bad happen because of hackers. Happened to me before to, at Wal-Mart of all places.

It's crazy these days. They have organized theft rings going through peoples trash and putting card skimmers everywhere. :(

I mostly use my card online or at a few places physically close by, so not terribly worried about it. Never actually lost money and nobody with any sense would want my Identity..lol...

Have to go to the bank today and get a new bank card. Last night the hackers/thieves tried to place another order though ebay using the deactivated card.
