Hello everyone. It's been ages since I've been on this forum because, well, I've just been vaping for so long, it's not all new and shiny to me anymore. :)
Anyhow, I must have gotten a rare good istick (50w) because it's lasted forever...I think I've had mine for three years now and I've used it every single day but lately it's been acting wonky.
So I need to replace it except it's been discontinued (from what I've read they weren't reliable at all)
So my question is...because I don't really keep up with these things...what can I get that's pretty much the same thing?

I want something as simple as the one I have...no external batteries, no tanks, no fitness tracker combo vape device...all I want is to be able to take it out of the box, charge it up and twist my RDA on it and vape away.

Any help?
oh and I don't need crazy high watts - I usually only ever use 20w but I like the 50w because I can go two or three days before having to charge it.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

Hi, welcome back.

This is a good one for your needs with excellent battery life. You'll have a very difficult time finding something that caps out at 50W these days, but this one is close.

iStick Nowos
OBS Cube
VV Jackaroo or other single 21700 mod w/ 25/30A 4000+Mah battery is easy enough.

Nowos is 4400Mah. Simple, wattage mode only.
I have Drag Mini and it works great.

Thank you all for the replies!
It's extremely helpful...I spent over an hour and a half last night searching for something comparable and all I got was cross-eyed. :)
This narrows it down considerably...I'm going to look all of them up and I'm sure I'll be able to get something I'll be happy with.

This is why this forum is so great, I knew I'd be able to get some great help here and not just some sarcastic joke or put-down about the 50w.
I don't mind getting something higher, just seems like it would be a waste. Really, I'd probably just burn my house down with 220w. :)

Thanks again everyone!

Keep in mind as I'm sure you know, that it's the battery that determines run time. But yea, if a built in will do 50 or 80 or 110w, then the battery would most likely run longer than a 20watter.

Does a charge last you a day with that 4400Mah 50w iStick?

I think a lot of people who vape at super high wattages also enjoy lower power vaping from time to time.

It’s nice to see someone who found what they like and sticking to it.

This one has been a crowd favorite for a while. I know, I really like mine. It had a 5k mah battery and very easy to use. The board is similar to what was in your 50w.

Oh yeah, I probably wasn't clear, sorry. I know it's the battery that matters when it comes to run time but I had the 30w istick prior to the 50w (which is 2200mah? I think?) and that one only lasted me about a day and a half before I had to recharge it, but yeah, the 50w iStick I can use all day for about three full days before I have to charge it.
Maybe because I use such low wattage (usually between 18 and 19w)? Or maybe I just don't vape as much as other people do?
I feel like I constantly have it in my hand, and since I work from home, there are no long stretches when I don't use it. I also only ever use one simple coil, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Maybe I lucked out and got a magical iStick. :D

I actually don't know how people vape at such high wattage. If I go over 20 or 25 all I get is burnt juice. Does it have something to do with double and triple coils at 0.03 ohm coils?
I tried using double coils once but couldn't tell the difference in taste and I'm not into filling the room with a cloud of fog so I didn't see the point of fiddling with an extra coil...I'm usually too lazy to build another coil when I need to much less having to make a second one or one of those crazy ten wire coils with braids and dreadlocks and whatever else these crazy kids are into these days. :D

And thank you for the link.
I actually did end up ordering this one. I was sold on the 5k mah battery...I might be able to go a whole month without having to charge it. ;)

I did end up ordering this one from that site, so thank you so much...it was the 5000mah battery that sold me on it. You can't knock less time between charges what with tablets and phones and kindles and bluetooth headphones and..... it's a neverending job.

Thanks again!

I 2nd the OBS Cube. 3000mah, lasts me almost 2 days. I got so out of practice with internal batt mods I kept forgetting to charge it at first.

You must vape as much as I do then. Because the 4400mah battery lasts me about 3 whole days.
I ended up getting the iPower 80w - ordered it last night, but thank you very much for the suggestion! :)

I vape a lot like you do. Low wattage, single round wire coil. I've vaped pretty much the same way since I started. The biggest change I ever made was switching to RTAs from a Protank 2.

Me too...if it ain't broke, and all that. :)
I've been using RDAs for the past three years but I ordered an RTA last night along with the battery because my cat told me he's had enough with me turning on the light to refill it at midnight. It bothers his sleep.
Like he has a job.

It has everything to do with dual coil and/or coil mass.
I still vape similar to you at times; but, lately I’ve been enjoying a single coil fancy wire around a 0.2 ohm resistance at 69-65w. Right now I’m vaping dual coil fancy wire at 0.1 at 135w. Later tonight I’ll probably switch back to a 18w build in an old kayfun.

It’s all in how much power is needed to heat “x” mass. With a dual coil that power is directed in two directions. So, yes, that does add to the need for more power.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you’re doing it wrong. There is no “ right” way to vape. So long as you’re safe, and not smoking, than you’re doing it right.

No reason to put anyone down for how they choose to vape.

Just because it will do 220w doesn't mean ya have to use all of that power.:p

Thanks. :) and yeah, safety safety safety!!!
Every time the media goes bonkers about the one person whose battery blew up on them (and therefore see? Vaping is HORRIBLE!!!) it usually turns out they were doing something fishy with their setup.

I'm so paranoid I won't do sub ohm or charge my battery with anything other than the charger it comes with. And also why I like the safety of regulated batteries.
Ha. I'm only 47 but I act like I'm 90 :D

I agree. :)
I'm actually living dangerously right now...I broke down and made a second coil for my new RTA and have my watts all the way up to 23w now.
So far no burnt juice but I have the fire department on speed dial on my phone just in case. :D

I know I've already thanked you for the suggestion but now I also want to thank you for the link...I purchased the battery from that site (which I'd never used before) - I put in my order on Friday and got it yesterday. o_O I was thinking I wasn't going to get it until next week. They must have packed it ten minutes after I ordered it because I chose the free shipping. Great service. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
Thanks!

You're welcome! I attached that link because the mod I was suggesting was on sale there, but have always had good service as well. Enjoy!
