Is Vaporesso just kind of not the best?

  • No, do not blame the vape. Blame the owner.

I need to begin by saying, we all make mistakes. Lmao okay.

I bought my first vape in December of last year. It’s a red Vaporesso Tarot Baby. I didn’t do much research before walking in so I gravitated to it because of its design. And to this day, still do not know much about it.

I’ve had trouble with it charging before. Mid-shift, the battery dies and does not charge on any outlet. I try the computer and then my car on the drive home (I had an outlet in my Jeep for blow dryers and whatever else). Take it in to the shop I purchased it at because it was on warranty. I relay to them exactly what happens and the shop owners warns me about charging the vape on anything except a wall outlet. Then she plugs it in in the shop, and It starts charging.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, the screen goes black for a couple of hours. I detach the tank and clean it, another hour passes, I move it to another outlet and boom, it starts charging.

Today I was on break, outside in my car. My Vaporesso Baby is probably on about 14%, then, not thinking about it, I plugged it into my Jeep Renegade (different car, newer car, does not have plug in feature like the last Jeep). The Renegade reads that it does not recognize the device. That awful black screen comes back immediately. The vape will not click on! I correctly plugged it in at work for almost 5 hours. I’ve plugged it at home and still nothing.

Is there anyway to factory reset a Tarot Baby as you would a phone, or hard shutdown a computer? I’m at a complete loss and inbetween paychecks! I’m thinking this is my third strike with this one but if this has happened to anyone else, I’d love some feedback! If you know anything about Vaporesso quality, I’m also interested in why you feel it’s good quality or poor!

Help!

Charging batteries in the device is never a good idea. Leads to issues. I realize the manufacturer states it's ok. But most all on this site will say otherwise. Under 20$ buys a nice external chager.
As for a factory reset or anything along those lines i honestly don't use this brand device. But i guarentee others on this site will b able 2 help.

Here's a link to the vapresso site. You can download the manuals there. Looks like there is a firmware update for that mod too which may or may not fix it. USB isn't recommended when you have external batteries. But being I ternal you have no choice Not sure of a master reset but there may be one in the menu or in the manual itself may have instructions. Hope some others can pitch in as well. I'm not familiar with this mod but some YouTube videos may be of some help as well.

The only Vaporesso product I have used myself is factory coils, but they were awesome. My son has had quite a few pieces of their gear and always was very pleased with the build quality, looks, and performance. Based on what I know from that, I would not hesitate at all to buy Vaporesso.

It is always a good idea to familiarize yourself with your equipment, even if you have no intention of taking up vaping as a hobbyist or collector. Everyone wants to get their money's worth from their devices, and that's one way you can know that you aren't inadvertently damaging things.

I do charge my mods occasionally from the USB port in my car or on my laptop or desktop PC. I wouldn't do it consistently, but in a pinch I have and would continue to.

I'm sorry, but I think it's better to buy a new one.

Also it is always a good idea to have a back up mod. Shit happens. Lost, broken or batteries(verry important with an internal battery devise) crap out. This way you are never left high n dry.

I only use wall outlets for my internal battery mods. I'm scared of this happening. I can only guess that your vape didn't like the electric current your Jeep provided and died.
