Juice burning up coils way too fast!

Hi everybody! I've been mixing for nearly 4 years now all of a sudden everything I make is burning up coils within just a few draws on my sub-ohm tank and other folks I make for have recently said the same. And it's different recipes too. What on Earth could it be?!? I'm totally stumped! I generally mix at 70/30 or around there. Get my nicotine and VG/PG from Nicotine River. Always have. Any ideas y'all??

Are you using FW ingredients? More sweetener than usual? Any new ingredients? I’d say a bad batch of coils but it seems like it’s happened toore than just you.

No these are, for the most part, tried and true recipes I've been making for a couple years. I wonder about PUR super sweet, maybe? That's about the only new thing I've used and not in everything. Do concentrates go bad?? It's burning up my coils and my friends as well so it's not just me. It's so crazy and makes no sense because I've remade a couple of same recipes and they were fine. I'm doumbfounded!

I am by no means an expert on these matters, just trying to help you work through some things you may not have thought of. Sweetener can definitely do it. Maybe it's bad PG or VG. Did you switch to max VG? Sometimes max VG on subohm tanks wont wick properly and that could very easily cause your coils to burn out. Concentrates do go bad, but if stored properly this should take a very long time.

Thank you for your help! Much appreciated!! I just got in some new PG and made some juice tonight so we shall see. I don't think any were Max VG. Maybe one or 2? Its got me skiddish about mixing because I threw a whole lot down the drain because of all that LOL

Since it is everything your are making I would check your ingredients. Possibly an incorrectly marked ingredient maybe? Too much PG? Since you indicate it is all your own I suggest starting with the source.

Something has changed. Either your VG, PG, flavors, or nic. This just doesn't happen all of the sudden. So - what is different? A different supplier? A different nic base? SOMETHING has to have changed for this drastic of a result, among 3 separate vapers.

I've heard of this new "Super-Sweet" from Purilum, but don't know much about it or what is in it though. Seems to be used at around 0.5 %.

I do know the old Cap version is apparently bad news and has Sucralose, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, and etc.

IMO, too much sweetener will gunk a coil in a hurry. A perfect example is VZ Caramel Mocha...o_O

Perhaps try subbing in regular 'ol 10% EM dilution and see if that helps?

Thank you! That is what I'm going to try this morning. I made some juice without sweetener and it's fine but needs to be sweeter. Will post if this is a fix maybe! Hopefully it will be!

To be honest no, now that u think of it. Some juices that were burning up my friends coil didn't have any sweetener at all in it and consisted of Vienna Cream, Zeppola, Salted Caramel & Sweet Cream. The recipe is Zeppelin on ELR. I just don't know. I've never had not one problem making good juice as far as having any problems. Flavor, of course, I've had my failures and still have the occasional one today but never anything that 5,-6 different recipes burned up everybody's coils. It's got me kinda gun-shy to mix to be honest. That's alot of money down the drain! I was using NR PG but ordered some from BCF and so far no problems. But I've not used any sweetener either. I tried vaping just some VG/PG/nic and it was fine. I'm stumped!

No! I shake it a little bit but just a couple shakes. Would that do it?

The reason I ask is that some /a lot of flavoring companies use sweetener in their concentrates which can settle in time, If they aren't to old a couple good shakes might do it, I shake mine well. Sweet juice always shortens coil life.
