Smok TFV8 RBA Short

Hi
This RBA shows a constant short even with new coils and the post's are solid. My other decks are all fine and I have no issues building.
Is this deck faulty, please help.

Your coils might be touching the rba cap you screw on? We should be able to help you better with your photos tommorow.

The tfv8 RBA is known to short out when using the included coils so if you are then put your own coils in. I had that issue with it then it was fine when I put my own coils in but if not as the comment says above the cap maybe touching and shorting out. Make sure your coils have a bit of distance from the top cap but I'm guessing you know this cos you said you've done quite a few builds!

Also make sure that the positive is screwed in good. That's a common issue with this particular rba and easily checked.

Have you tried it on different mods? Also, if you have an ohm reader that you can fire coils on, will it fire on there when just the base and rba deck are on it?

That is very odd. I'm at a loss bud, is this a new rba deck? I'm curious if it's just a faulty one, that happens unfortunately.

Yes it's new, I have 2 TFV8's, one with the RBA and a GX350, my fave is my squonk with a recurve, so not happy I can't get this going.

I got a new RBA from Amazon and it fire'd from the off, I'll sort and wick tomorrow.
The old one is free to anyone who wants to find out and update us to what the issue with it is.
