hiya, guys.
i keep running across that term.
so, some juice wrecks coils fast?

how can i tell if a juice will do that, BEFORE i buy it?
changing coils is a pain n they are expensive.
is there a general rule about what to avoid?
certain flavors?
certain pg/vg ratios?
certain suppliers?
any rule of thumb you can give me would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi! You know, this is not scientific by any means but for me the sweeter the juice the quicker the seem to junk my coils. Also, I find higher VG blends do that as well.

There really isn't a way to tell before hand at all. Some types are well known for it, so you might want to google around before buying

NETS are notorious coil killers, high VG ratio can also

thanks.
there must be a common thread that connects the offenders.
something in them.
i don't need very sweet or high vg tho, so i may not have to worry.

Sucralose mainly or in combo with high VG

For NETS it's the tobacco residue

High vg and the sweeter the juice, the worse the gunking pretty much. I build my own coils, so I don't really worry myself, but buying premade coils (and I was when I started vaping), I truly understand. Also, certain ingredients can doo this too. Chocolate is a big culprit. Hope this helps some

thank, guys.
chocolate is easy to avoid, because it's listed right in the name.
sucralose is a problem..
the adds don't talk about that.

this info is super important for testing.
i'm trialing a bunch of coils to find out which last longest, but the results will be worthless if juice
screws up the results.

For the most part, allot of juices will be based off of desserts, drinks, cereals and such. If the real thing is seriously sweet, then it is a safe bet that the juice will be too.

Yeah avoid the supet sweet stuff. I use a rda at home so not an issue. Dry burn and re-wick. But out and about an og Crown. They are known for coil life, but dark and sweet shortens their life span.

dark?
do you mean the color of the juice?
all mine is clear, no color.
I’ve found that coil killers are usually a dark color but not all dark colored juices will kill coils fast. As far as testing coil longevity for the best results you should vape the same juice in different coils to test that. You need to remove the juice variable otherwise your results will be suspect. Juices all kill coils eventually, some faster then others and all at different rates.

In case you lean toward NETs: my unscientific experience is that cold extracted are easier on the coils than hot extracted.

Regarding sucralose: I agree that it does gunk coils, and I think it gunks our innards too, so I won't have any. Some juice vendors will answer questions about whether they use it, and some will ignore the question. I only buy from those who answer.

Clean Vape juices are pretty good, and clear of sweeteners, for non NETs.

I vape custard sweetened with Stevia and get a month from my coils (RBA) in my Subtank minis and at least 2 weeks in my Merlins and Wasp nanos.
Subtank minis at 15-16W and the Merlins and Wasps at 20-35W.
And vape 20-30 ml/day between the devices.

That custard is on of the greatest Thanks for that recipe. Wish I had made this one sooner

What is this custard and where can I find the recipe? Of course, it'll be one I don't have all the flavorings for!

Cromwells Custard
120 ml batch
4 ml CAP Vanilla custard V1
1.6 Ml CAP Vanilla whipped Cream
Sweetener of your choice to taste.
I use 6 drops of NuNaturals NuStevia because I cannot tolerate artificial sweeteners.
Nic to suit
And PG/VG ratio of your choice I use 50/50.
You might need a bit more flavoring or sttep time if using max VG.
for 50/50 it is basically shake and vape but should be left for 24 hours before vaping after a good shake.
Longer steeping makes virtually no difference when using 50/50 PG/VG

Thank you. Just as I predicted, I don't have the flavors, except for the sweetener. LOL
