Looking for some help. Earlier in this thread I posted a strawberry custard that uses 2% fa juicy strawberry. I like it but wanted to try a different strawberry or combination. I have inw strawberry shisha, tfa strawberry and strawberry ripe, cap sweet strawberry, and JF sweet strawberry. Suggestions welcome!
A combination of 4% Ripe Strawberry TFA and 1-2% Shisha Strawberry by INW. Perfect Strawberry in my opinion.

Hmmmmm.....do you want it to be different or similar? Inw Shisha would give something more similar. The TFA strawberry/ripe combo would give a slightly more realistic/full strawberry. Caps would be good but would fade without another strawberry to back it up. I haven’t worked with JF enough to give it a fair assessment, but I know I like it!

Thank you - I’m looking for something to be balanced with the custard as opposed to overpowering it if that helps

Of course:

4% LB vanilla ice cream
.5% flv vanilla pudding
.75% inw biscuit
2% fa juicy strawberry

Thanks for your help!
Ahhhh, the Fresh03 custard. Ok. That helps. So I would go JF at 2% or drop the juicy to 1-1.5%. It could just be that you’re overflavoring the juicy. Fresh’s custard is really good, but doesn’t have the heftiness of a VCV1 or even INW.

Thank you very much for your help. I’m going to try it with 2% JF sweet strawberry

Trying to clone krankberry from fusion vapors. Tastes like razzles candy. If you can remember that. Only 5 recipes. Wanted to post this here to get ideas or thoughts. Getting flavor mail tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

I know that WF sour blue raspberry is a newer flavor but it could work here. If it’s an older juice, which it seems like it might be, then FW, OSDIY have a blue razz and so does tfa(but that one is yucky, IMO). LB has a blue razz, too. TFAa cranberry maybe? And that Watermelon candy can be cranked up to like 5-8%.

But, as a disclaimer, I have never had the juice. So, there’s that. :giggle:

I can taste those in my head now......lol!

Made a clone of a juice @ScReWbALL sent me called strawmalone. I'm 95% sure I nailed it.

I know for a fact it uses tfa strawberry. So I went with a watermelon of the same brand. I tried two different watermelons by TFA and came up with this.

6% tfa strawberry
6% tfa watermelon candy
2% tfa sweetener

@ScReWbALL mix this up if you can and let me know what you think.

I’m at work and can’t try it out just yet, but I did check my flavor stash on ELR and I have TFA-Ripe Strawberry but not just TFA Strawberry...you think swapping those flavors would change the flavor profile too much or should I be able to get away with it. I’m not sure of the differences or similarities between the 2.

You’re not drinking water are you? You realize that’s an ingredient in antifreeze!

Pretty sure you did hit it exactly...I had to sub for a different strawberry, but there’s enough similarities between it and the store bought brand that I’m betting if I had the right Strawberry it would be spot on. I just mixed up 60ml and found a mod/rda I forgot I had and have barely used...a Kennedy Vindicator and 25mm 2-post Kennedy RDA

Working damn good and tasting damn good. Mooch-Ass Grassy-Ass for the help identifying the right combo of flavors!

Got lazy, so, just hopped on ELR and spun the wheel of “What can I make?” and I ran across someone who cloned something from our very own @Huckleberried
582c174fe6eabdd6d340bcd587d34e35.jpg

And after adapting it to the pg/vg/Nic levels I was accustomed to, I ended up with this
77e0f2af754b555b6025ddd074816079.jpg

Excellent recipe and hit just the mark I was looking for...not overly sweet, yet not blande-ish...it walks the tightrope between the two perfectly for what I was wanting. And this is just at the Shake and Vape stage...I’m betting a few days in, this will get even better (if I don’t manage to use it all before that time hits).

Good looking out. This is going on my mix list and getting bumped to the top.

Yeah, I laid off of it a bit to steep some and after just a day and a half or two days it’s already turned into a good amber color and some flavors that were hiding came out. I think I might have found my all-day vape when I’m not feeling like using a fruit-based flavor

That original write up, is really super strong and really sweet. If that happens to you, you can leave out the meringue, even cut the flavors by almost half. I've changed the percentages SO many times, due to better gear, really. I was using an ego and protank when I first mixed that, lol.

From the start when I found that recipe a long time ago now I used your reduced percentages. I loved that mix, time to mix more!

Going to try working on it tonight. WI is a shit show right now. I'm sore from snow blowing and shoveling snow.

Sounds like the north-central United States is really in for it over the next few days. Hope you can stay inside and be safe. I heard this morning, with wind chills as forecasted, frostbite can happen in 5 minutes or less.

Yes, it will be bad. The only thing I have to do this week is pay a bill and grocery shop. I'm not picking up any work hours.

You aren't kidding either! I have relatives near Madison ... potential to set a new record low -27 F ( wind chill -45 ).

And they wonder why I won't visit in the wintertime any longer, lol.
I live North of Milwaukee(15miles or so). My lips are so cracked they are bleeding. Fresh Aloe is the only thing that will save them. I miss my brief time living in MO and OK. I'll take the tornado's over this weather.

I've made it many times now.
I like it at 11% & a 3-week steep.

I have to tell you all about health cabin pound cake, I got the 500ml. It is under this section: https://www.healthcabin.net/500ml-hc-concentrated-flavors-sale-p/20414.html.
Omfg! It is beautiful! I mixed it with 70%vg 30%pg @ 5%. I didn't add nic, in case I need to dilute. I think I can take it down to 2.5%. It smells amazing. I dripped, a couple of hours after I mixed, and I honestly have never had a cake so good! Even better than yellow cake. It is rich, dense and very buttery. I have never eaten pound cake before, but my husband has. He is the ry4 cowboy, who doesn't vape flavors lol. Well, he liked the smell of this stuff! He asked me what it was, and I said pound cake. He smells the bottle, and he said yes that's it! Now, I have a small favour to ask. He wants me to bake him a pound cake for his birthday next week. Wtf??? Google here I come lol. I found this recipe, but do I use plain flour (all purpose)? Not self rising, no baking powder? And no fan force on the oven?
1lb sugar
1lb butter
1lb flour
12 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
Oven 325f for 1 hour 15 mins

This is the recipe I use, except for a couple of small changes. I use 1.5 cups self-rising flour and 1.5 cups all-purpose (that takes care of the baking powder and salt, so you don't need to add it separately), and I add 1 tsp of lemon extract.

I've made this at least a hundred times. It's wonderful.

Oh, also, be sure to NOT open the oven door until the cake has browned. If you open that oven halfway through baking, the cake will fall.

Thanks! This sounds good. I don't know if we have vegetable shortening in Australia?? Can I just use all butter?
And, the oven, do you use fan force? Because I am guessing no, as it probably needs to cook slow.
I always open the oven door lol, I don't have a light in mine, but I won't lol!

I'm guessing when you say "fan force" you're talking about a convection function on your oven. Have not heard of that before, so I'd say no, you don't need it.

About the shortening, I would just stay with 2 sticks of butter plus maybe another 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) to take the place of the shortening. I wouldn't put 3 sticks of butter. Sounds too much.

Please don't open the door until it's baked for at least an hour. It will still taste good, but it will look just pitiful. :p

ETA: The baking time is based on this being in a tube or Bundt pan. Will you be using one of those types of pans, or do you have loaf pans? This recipe would probably make two loaves, but one Bundt cake. If you bake loaves, I'd check them at 45 minutes for doneness.

Thanks for your help, I will give this one a crack. Fan forced is a fan in the oven that spreads the heat out better, it's not convection. I have a bundt cake tin, it's really old. I promise not to open the door, but I will be sitting in front of it with a flashlight shining through the glass lol.
Good night, and thanks again for this!
