Surprised how fast the Tiramisu is infusing but at 100°F, it does speed it up. Couldn't resist doing a smell test and going to resist cleaning a tank and installing a fresh coil or I will not give it more time. Already getting a nice golden color and smells awesome. Maybe a taste test? Drop on the tongue? :giggle:

I love the shortbread. Just trying to find the best % to use is tricky. Not a lot of people are posting their thoughts on this. It does contain acetoin which may deter some purist (anti-diketone) folks.

I might have version 2 soon.
I’m using it along the lines of Biscuit right now. I haven’t had a lot of time with it but I have subbed it straight for FA Cookie in my Honeycomb Custard and Cookies recipe and it was AMAZING. More butter, more texture......geez, what a yummy flavor! I’m working on a strawberry shortbread type thing right now that shows promise. I also think it would work very well with almond, marzipan, any creams, custards, marshmallow. It also might work well with cakes to give it more butter and texture.

Just mixed and tried a new strawberry custard that uses freshepies Old Skewl custard recipe and added some fa juicy strawberry - it’s a shake and vape and really good:

INW Biscuit 0.5%
LB Vanilla ice cream 4%
FLV vanilla pudding 0.5%
FA juicy strawberry 2%

It would probably taste horrible considering I can’t find recipes and haven’t looked for ingredients on any of the regular pages, but do they have savory flavors of e-juice or salty? I just made my midnight snack of salted and peppered tomatoes and some celery with ranch dressing along with some block cheese and ham/turkey and a Clamato juice (Clam juice and Tomato Juice) with some Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper, making me wonder if there are options or a place that has ingredients to make savory or salty juices or is that ridiculous kind of thinking so warped that either no one has tried to, or it was an idea that went the way of the dodo? I just had to make a spot for my food where I have some juice flavors in the way and wondered if it’s been approached or tried and I just haven’t seen it or is it so absurd I need to double check I’m taking the right dosage of my crazy pills?

It doesn’t have to be exactly like or about those things, it’s just more of a question with some general ideas so that the inquiry makes a bit more sense than just spouting off craziness.

Maybe I’ve just seen Willy Wonka too many times and wanna get a 4-course dinner from a stick of gum, lol.

There's a two hour YouTube video that was just uploaded this week on this and the breakdown of each flavor. Starts off with fried chicken and it's not good. I saw in the comments the list. It's from A-Z and didn't go over very well, at all. I had to just stop since it was putrid to even hear. Lol :):blech:

I figured that was the case for the most part, just didn’t know if even one or two flavors might be considered good out of the bunch.

I just posted this on a new thread. One cheese is listed on there. Want to say a few that I've seen used were listed. I would love a good pizza or Italian dish myself, but after watching this I just can't. Lol :)

I’d strike anything based on a protein flavor...I just can’t see a world where “Hamburger” is a vape juice. Although if you did have one involving some beef you could call it “We don't need no man like that in our lives” from Rocky 2 (he was a meat packer for all you youngens that have only seen the newest Rocky movie or Apollo movies)

You have a point there. I have to say some of the flavors now I just wouldn't try. I won't say the names but there's plenty out there. Especially some juices that are far away from any flavor I've ever heard of. I'm willing to try a tested batch of something savory as in Italian like I said, but hamburger just wouldn't cut it with me. If you go into the comments on the video you'll see a list that is better off left if the kitchen than a Vape .
Rocky came out when I was young. Never really watched those Apollo movies. Guess I was already past that stage by then. Lol :)

It is my new favorite. I do have a few cookies but I love the buttery feel to this.

Thank you. I just don't understand why on the other forum I seem to be unable to find many 5 stars or ones with comments. I see some that have potential but then again I'm not savvy on reading/converting %'s and flavors. Whenever I find a recipe it seems to have way too much flavor, I have learned that 20% is not ideal or I'm missing flavors. I have learned things like raspberry is needed to boost strawberry but don't ask me how much to add. I learned about SS very fast. That's like cinnamon, a little goes a long way.

I saw one the other day on ice cream, made it. Tasted it on my finger and yuck! I know the cream must steep, but it didn't even come close to a butter pecan ice cream. Smell nor taste, maybe later but the recipe said SNV.

The variables out there I know I've got to learn but starting out, I'm just lost.

I appreciate everyone here since I'm mixing to get away from PG issues. I had to stop a few years after the PG thing got to me and I'm vaping for my health these days. I took a nosedive last year in my health and it means a lot to me to get this right. :)
You will get there. A good idea when starting out is to start simple, like mix a 3-2-1. Three flavors and 3%, 2%, 1%. I would do cheesecake, Graham cracker and one other flavor of your choice for the 1% flavor. Also, if you see a recipe you like, and you are missing a flavor or two, just substitute with a similar flavor in your stash. Just work out if you need a higher or lower percentage to the original. Some people say you can't sub, but I do lol. Also, with raspberry, it's a strong flavor, start it at 0.25%. You can go up if needed, but it does help strawberry at 0.25%

Oh my! Yes, that makes more sense than trying to figure out what exact percentage for my tastes (work in progress there). I've never heard of the 3-2-1 before. That could really help me out in seeing if I need to adjust. I'll certainly try this. I can see a few cheesecakes coming from this method myself.
Yes, raspberry. I've seen how low many use this. I'll remember the 0.25 for sure. I'm not into that flavor, reason why I didn't buy it the first time around, but didn't realize it was one to boost things like strawberry. That was interesting to see. I guess it was the tartness that flavor has always had vs being a sweeter taste.
I just might make a few cheesecake recipes this evening to steep. Yay! Thank you so much!

You can even try using about 1 -2% capella silverline biscuit in with the graham cracker. I really like that combo as a cheesecake crust. Mix it, then you might think it needs some cream or something else, so you add a little bit more, and you end up creating a recipe with a few more ingredients. I would work on a pie crust with what you have, I would start off at 1% silverline biscuit with 2-3% Graham cracker. Then you can go to town creating different pies. Banana cream pie, apple pie, apple and nectarine pie would be nice. Bit of sweet cream and/or vanilla swirl. Google the flavor with the word percentage, and you will get an idea on what others use in a mix.

This is just awesome info here. I truly am thankful for your help. I'll add this in my notes. I love all kinds of pies as well. I guess I'm just a huge sweet or dessert person. Well pastries, etc.

I'll certainly put this to good use and see if I can't come up with something. You're giving me much hope here! I guess this is the biggest learning curve in getting started. Then after this it's smooth sailing with just a few tweaks here and there. :)

If you like chocolate vapes, you might check out @Mykreign Deep Fried Oreos in the Recipes thread. Takes a week or 10 days to steep, but this has turned out to be one of my favorites.

Also the Nilla Cake that @CrazyChef v2.0 and @wildgypsy70 worked on in a Collaborative thread turned out to be really good. You can use ELR's "Adjust Total Flavor %" on any recipe if you think the total percent of flavors is too much for you. That utility will reduce flavors but keep them in the same ratio to each other, so doesn't mess with the overall flavor profile, just the strength of the flavor.

Another collaboration that I really liked was the White Chocolate Marzipan Cake. @wildgypsy70 worked on that one, too.

There are some great recipes in the Recipes thread. Prepare to make a flavors order. :)

ETA: You might also like @Matty Vapes Peanut Butter Cookie, and you're very close to having all the flavors for it. It's a super easy recipe to mix up, and is S&V. Just don't mix too much at once - the peanut butter fades a bit over time, imo.

ETA2: I keep thinking about the Banana Split flavor you have. I have that, too, and use it in Brownie Batter Banana Split clone of a Vape Wild juice by the same name. But I'm also thinking it would make a great cake base. Banana Split, FW Yellow Cake, Cap Cake Batter, a little whipped cream, jeez louise, yum!

ETA3: You also have TFA Banana Nut Bread. I think it was Wayne Walker who raved about that flavor, said it was the best BNB he'd tried. That one might be worth mixing as a standalone starting at maybe 8-10%. If you think you'd like that, check ELR flavor notes for standalone percent uses of people who've tried it that way. I have that flavor, too, and may try it standalone as well.

I just don't know how you stand that heat. I'd have to live in water all day long, I think.
It was the hottest day in history! Cooler now, the change didn't get here until this morning. No bushfires, no deaths, not that I heard. I was putting out bowls of iced water all day for the wild birds. We covered all our plants, and didn't lose any. But, it was different lol.
It's -12° and windy right now here. Just ridiculously cold out there right now.
Omg, that's -24 celcius It never goes below 40f in the middle of winter here!

I took my first run at a Carrot Cake flavor blind (not looking up other recipes to “borrow” from). It tastes good, but it doesn’t taste like carrot cake...it almost has a citrus flavor to it. The cloud and ambient air after exhaling has a very pungent pepper smell to it that you don’t taste when taking a hit.

I’ve heard rumors of certain Nicotine’s having the peppery smell, so, does anyone know if this Nic is one of those that has that issue or is it one of the flavorings, maybe?

Oh wow! Thank you so very much! I will have to get on this tomorrow! Just awesome!
I have been digging deep into pages, reading and re-reading all over lately. I'm most definitely going to apply this in the morning.
Everyone here is just so kind and helpful. I am really humbled, this whole DIY venture was to keep me away from PG. I know it's a leap into the unknown once you first start. I truly had no idea that there would be these learning curves, but this forum really keeps everyone staying optimistic!

Thank you for your research on this post! I'd never known where to look on these! :) :stars2:

@ScReWbALL I have some of the 100mg in my freezer unopened. My other two bottles are the 48mg. I will go out in the morning and do a whiff test for you. The 48mg seems to be fine. My nic was recently purchased from Nic River this past month. I know one of my orders was delayed since they had to make some more of the 100mg up. Either way, I'll check in the daytime hours for you! :)

I’m fairly certain it’s the culprit. Each time I smell just the Nic bottle it has somewhat of an odor to it, but nothing drastic or pepper-smelling, but after putting it down, for the next 30 seconds ago I have a pepper smell lingering in my nose. Could have nothing to do the product itself and more because I don’t freeze my nicotine and something either leeched from the plastic of the bottle, or the chemical makeup changed because it could have been “getting old” due to not freezing it.

Edit: On the plus side, I just made another recipe where the grape flavor beats the hell out of any pepper taste/smell...of course it’s also doing the same thing to the other flavors. I need to get back into the habit of putting my own percentages in rather than relying on ELR to populate that field instead...I knew better to put 4% TFA-Grape Candy and expect to get anything but the flavor of a purple pixie stick to it

I noticed yours was in VG. I know I ordered in PG (that and flavorings is the only pg I try to use). Since I'm so new I'm not much help in storage, only read what others have said and told me.
I'll check in the morning, I just have a few playful "Marmaduke" sized pups outside that would think it's playtime at this hour. Lol. The 48mg nic I've been able to mix does throw off a wee bit of a pepper taste if I taste a new recipe on the first day, if that helps any. Doesn't have a smell though. After a few days it's not there anymore. Again, newbie here and was told that nic gives off a pepper like hit.

From the ratings I've seen, many like this nic and who I bought it from. Seems to get high reviews. You may have some potent nic there! :)

Fwiw ,, FA apricot blends well with INW lemon cake...(it's part of my lemon cake recipe) So then I took it another step... I took 60% my adv sugar Bean cookie added 20% of my lemon cake recipe added 4% FA Fresh Cream and topped the whole batch off with vg.. Not bad at all. I need to create a finished recipe , but this Frankenstein is working :)

Yeah man you have to keep your nic in the freezer. Next time you order, buy some 30ml glass bottles and pit your nicotine in them. Throw them all in the freezer. Keep one 30ml out for mixing. Then if you need more, you just pull out another bottle and throw a dripper cap on it after it's to room temp.

Personally, the first place I'd look would be to the graham cracker, but then again, I have a really difficult time with that flavoring, even in tiny amounts. Have you used graham cracker much in your mixing before?

For me, the problem doesn't show up right away, but over the course of a few days' time, graham cracker will take over anything I put it in.

Probably different from the problem you're having, just a thought.

Just placed a small order at Flavourart for those hard-to-get items like Corn & Butter so I thought I'd stock up a little & also try some new ones- got:

10ml Apricot
10ml Aurora
10ml Bread Crust
30ml Butter
40ml Corn
10ml Croissant
10ml Grapefruit
20ml Joy
10ml Pistachio

Resisted the urge to also get the Bacon, Mozzarella & Ripe Tomato, as I still have plenty of TFA Pizza to use up first. They wait patiently on my wish list.

I don't recall if I mentioned Wonder Flavors peach pie & cream. I mixed it at 5% solo flavor. It's been sitting for many weeks. I just thought about revisiting it. It's a pretty good peach. I don't really get the crust right now but a light cream. Next time I mix I'm going to add a Flv cream to boost it. The overall flavor is a bit dry. I might have to enhance it with a touch of Flv apple pie to offset the dryness.
Next week I'm going to work on V2 of LMT and Pumpkin Tart. The LMT has too much cream and the Pumpkin tart needs more spice and less creams. I have some ideas but I won't get into this until Tuesday.

Beware the Bread Crust!

Lol, seriously it is extremely potent. I'd suggest trying it initially in dilution form. That 10ml is likely a lifetime supply or least it would be for me. :D

I like the Croissant although I did get a touch of a lemon note with it, not that it bothered me but others might not welcome it.

I've had the Croissant before, but the Bread Crust is a new one for me.
Thanks for the heads up!
