It took me years of banging my head to get it right, lol. Especially RTAs
Used a coilmaster?
last coilmaster set I got from China was under $10.

also SS wire is much easier to use than Kanthal.
Yes, I have tried it all except buying coils premade. 8.5 years of vaping under the belt and not impressed with the art of "coil making". I will do diy eliquids but I do realize my limits.

You make me feel better, because it took me about three years to get RTAs

Wicking was my biggest nemesis

Kinda makes me feel good about myself as I was soon recoiling and rewicking Kanger Evod/T3S coils after starting vaping.

I do mess up a RTA wicking every 6 mos or so and it dumps it's juice....

You two should be proud. :)
If only I could find something as easy as a MTL tank. I gave away the crappy Kayfuns I had. Those suckers leaked bad for me. I destroyed a few shirts with vape stains.

Subtank Mini V2 with the RBA deck in it.
Easy for an RTA and not prone at all to leak.
14-17W and loose MTL or restricterfd DL and great flavor too.
Very similar in vape quality to a Kayfun well the later ones and no where near as fiddly.

Join CASAA and support they’re activism even if it’s signing petitions or polls. Every little bit helps.

http://www.casaa.org/
Yeah well they touted the other 2 bills as saving vaping. Nope.
The best part of either bill is that they would move the grandfather date to 8-8-2016 from 2-15-2007.
However all products introduced after 8-8-2016 would still require the PMTA approval before sales are allowed.

And they would regulate mods and batteries.

I joined CASAA and have not even gotten an email from them in forever.

Was stunned and disappointed with a huge number of my fellow vapers who were anxious and willing to throw us mech users under the bus to allegedly "save" vaping

I am also a paid member who hasn't received anything from Casaa in years

Yeah I was a sucker and sent em money too.
if that bill had passed mods would cost 200% more or so due to safety testing and changes in design required to pass.
And very likely that only internal battery/lipo mods would be approved.

and it would set vaping back to 8-8-2016.
But then I suppose no one wants to vape on any device that came out in the past almost 3 years anyway?

@Artemis
I checked and do have 1 white STM left. It is yours if you want it.
Had 3 but gave the other 2 to my grandson

they are getting kinda hard to find, more toptanks around than the STM.

I’ve only resurrected vaping a few months ago, but I’m absorbing as much info as I can, plus about 15 devices. This reminds me of when I started home brewing in the early 90s, it wasn’t mainstream and actually illegal, although not enforced in many states. Lots of serious home brewers lobbied and there was congressional bills on the docket...it finally took nationwide. Oddly enough I was never asked for ID when buying supplies online

I imagine most beer making supplies have dual purposes, so unless it says Beer Making Tubing, etc. there is no way to enforce age restrictions on the components or ingredients, they have other uses outside of beer making.

Same with some vape stuff: cotton, wire, batteries, and most juice ingredients

Ya, I've seen a flashlight powered by an 18650. Was pretty cool actually. The are quite a few things powered by these batteries. Would be pretty nice to have some around the house actually. It's not like I don't have the batteries and chargers for it LOL

I loves my 18650 powered flash lights.
Powerful and tough little things and focus to a beam or wide angle.
I use my hand me down from vaping batteries in them.

That's where the word mod comes from, vapers sick of cigalikes were MODifying flashlights, etc to vape with, lol

Mods are actually called Advanced Personal Vaporizers (APV)

Ohh and if anyone else is interested, checked and MFS has the toptank mini in stock for $20.
The regular Subtank mini V2 seems to be pretty much extinct.
