Best MTLs RDAs or RTAs for flavor

What are the best MTL RDA/RTA/RDTAs for flavor?

So far I gathered the best to be:

Ammit RDA/RTA
Berserker RTA v1.5
Serpent RDTA
Hastur Mini RDTA - Said to be like the Kayfun v4 in performance, but not as high quality materials
Kayfun v4
Galaxy RDTA - unsure about it, but I like the look

Can't find much info on MTL RDAs but I wouldn't mind one that's squonkable if it's the best. Only things I care about are good airflow options, so I can make it similar to a cigarette, and flavor. Any other tips for getting great flavor is also appreciated.

Berserker make a MTL rda I believe. Other than that I won't be much help. Sorry

I have galaxies rda, ammit rda, chithulu 1928. Ammit sits never use not sure what it is but dont like the vape out of it. I have 2 galaxies use one daily great flavor. Have the rdta on the way. 1928 is very good also it is probably more of a true mtl vape on it. It has very deep juice well so I use it as a dripper at home and squonk on the galaxies at work driving.

Similar draw to a cig is tight to me. I've found single bottom air hole configuration to be the best for a tight draw.
I have the Etna rda that I squonk with and the hastur mini rta. Similar draw and good flavor from both.
The ammit did not work for me either, had the rda and sold it.
I sometimes like a bit looser draw and higher watts on a fused clapton, I use the galaxies rdta and squonk to fill the little tank.
No experience with any of the Kayfuns. A lot of people like the speed revolutions mini rda and the dvarw rta. Clones are at fasttech.
Try a few and find what you like.

Ehpro True MTL RTA, haven’t put it down since I got it. Also I enjoy the Savour MTL, but seems to be discontinued now.
Kayfun lite clones, and berserker mini.

Tried tons of MTL atties, but now settled on the Kayfun prime, they are one of the more expensive atties, but they just work so well, great flavor and I don't get leaking, like the berserker for example, primes is all I use at home, in the last few months collected 4 primes and have a 5th on the way, the only other MTL tank I am using now, is at work I use the Ammit MTL RTA, has good flavor and as it is top airflow, don't get leaking.

Damn I love this forum. Why not squonk on the the 1928 (still new to building)? I had thought about it since the Hastur mini received high praise. Hope to hear good things from the Galaxy RDTA, sadly I bought an Innoken Zenith over it. Even with their Z-Plexus mesh atomizer, I wasn't it expecting to lack in flavor. Seems like it only does well with super sweet or strong coffee flavors. Tried brain freeze and I feel like I'm only getting the menthol.

I'll definitely look into the Etna, that brand has come up a few times in past reviews/comparisons I read. Ammit seems to be hit-or-miss from all that I've read about them. Thanks for the location of clones, I was wondering where everyone was getting them.

I have to ask, what is a true MTL vs the normal MTLs? I heard MTLs can be used as a DL for flavor, but not sure if that's correct or what the difference would be.

Well I think I should get a bit more experience in building before a Kayfun, but I do hear that brand pop up consistently for MTLs. I would of went for the Ammit but decided against it until I found out what squonks were.

I have a Serpent RDTA and it is not a MTL atty.
If is a very slightly restricted direct lung atty.

A good RDTA but in no way MTL.

I will accept your opinion on such things.

It's an opinion, lol. Nuppin is very, very nice, but harder to get and almost as expensive when you do finally track one down

Not all of us have lofty friends to send us free one :teehee:

True MTL is the name of the tank, and fitting, no lung hits off this one. It’s not cheek-collapsing tight, just right for a great mtl IMO. Best all around flavor of any mtl rta IMO. After owning it for a week and not vaping much else I ordered another one and a few replacement glasses.

Just to put a few RDTA's in the blend, I'd go with the Faris and Pyro 2..

This is my hands down favorite, best MTL Squonk attie: https://www.odisdesign.com/collections/atomizers/products/odis-16

You really need the aftermarket cap to keep it from searing your lips though

I'll keep this one in mind, probably will go with cheaper ones for now until I'm familiar with building.

Yep I did manage dual coils in the Nuppin though.
I heard of the Nuppin, but I'm guessing they're discontinued since I can't find one.

The Faris I remember being recommended before I bought the Zenith. So many to try :(

They are meant to be double coil, but still put out very, very good flavor with just one

The single post is kinda small for some of the chunkier modern wires folks are using these days. Maybe even the postless parts too

@godhelpme Yes, the Faris just didn't get the proper advertising in my eyes from Wotofo. They were pushing the other atty that came out around the same timeframe. I went with this one based on my thinking. I'm like that though, daring soul sometimes. The Pyro 2 though is just a tad better in the flavor department than the Faris, but they are both in my daily goto's!! Love each about the same. Just one is more versatile, the Faris. :)

There is not a right or wrong in vaping. Choices seem endless. You just have to find a general direction and start the journey. The people on this forum have buckets full of knowledge, experience, and are always here to help, but only you can decide what you like. As you try a few you can start to spot things you might like or dislike in other atties. If you get one or two that you dislike, sell or trade them, it's part of the process.

I've tried most of the Chinese MTL RTAs and the Berserker mini is my favourite of the bunch. It's been discontinued though. There is some stock left but it's mostly rainbow and gold so I'd say the Berserker 1.5 is next best.
If you want a looser MTL the Galaxies RDTA is decent paired with a squonk mod. I wouldn't use it as a standard tank cos that 2ml dunt really last.
The worse one I've tried is the Siren v2. I can't get the great flavour that everyone mentions. Just seems muted :(
My most recent is the Hastur mini and that's actually a really good vape. No loose MTL out of that though. It can go even tighter than the Berserker.

I bought it specifically to go with an mtl rta and then in my pocket at work. For that it's great. I usually wouldn't buy an internal battery mod but it's very small and light. Battery easily lasts all day low wattage.

Have you tried the Ephro true??
I have not. Saw a few mixed reviews and comments, some loved it and some said it had leaky air. Don't know if it's just user or maybe a defect seal.
Middle hole air flow setting on the Hastur mini is a perfect draw for me.
I thought I would try the Berserker 1.5 when the price drops a bit, or catch a sale. Trying to stop buying so much.....
Then @Nailz posts this:

Damn it, I can't unsee this...Have not used any Kayfun before, think I'll try a clone first, next time I place a slow boat order.

Kayfuns are well worth the money if you can afford them but there is cheaper RTAs that vape just as well. You're paying more for build quality to be honest. I have all the Kayfuns up to v5 and recently got the Kayfun prime too. The Berserker series vape just as well as Kayfuns & I know most people won't pay $100.00+ for an RTA!
The Kayfun lite is still my favourite Kayfun but I don't think they are for sale anymore. To me the draw is perfect but it's very finicky compared to newer MTL RTAs

Just don't get the Kayfun v5 cos that is more like a restricted lung hit. It's a damn good vape and does serve a purpose for alot of vapers but it's not an MTL tank. You have to buy the reducer seperate as well. You'd think such an expensive fucking RTA would include it!!

Sadly my choices have become limited to one tank since I'm in the market for a new mod due to a freak accident with my Luxe's screen*. The hastur mini seems like the definite go-to for travel given the reviews from MTL people on forums. It's now between the Vapefly Galaxy, Cthulu 1928 or Hastur Mini, and Berserker. I know the Galaxy only has two 2ml which is a con, but I figure I was going to get a squonk mod anyways. I just never had a squonk when traveling so I have no idea how that experience will go.

As of right now I have the Innoken Zenith as my MTL and for flavor, well it sucks. Tried all three coils and it just couldn't beat this Bonza RDA I tried in terms of flavor. It's the only RDA I've tried and holy shit, if that's the lower end of RDAs then I can't imagine how good a Goon would taste. The airflow of the Zenith I don't have comparison to, but I have only one airflow hole open and its slightly covered as well. Feels too airy otherwise and I miss out on the flavor.

*Set it down, picked it up and saw a cracked screen. Someone cleaned the drawer with the warranty so RIP Luxe.

I like the look but I have no idea where to find those clones. There was a website linked to a Chinese vendor website, but typing in Kayfun was not so fun for finding a tank. So many parts, but I didn't actually see the tank.

I wasn't impressed with the Zenith either, it's to airy and the flavours muted.

The Hastur mini is on par with the Berserker mini and the Berserker 1.5 vapes more similar to the original Berserker.
The Berserker mini has been discontinued and you can only find gold an rainbow most places. Also if you want a tight MTL the Galaxies RDTA isn't the one to go for. It was to airy for me even when completely closed off.
I'd go for the Hastur mini to be honest :)

And the Bonza is pretty damn good I agree. The best RDA in my opinion is the conspiracy though, I even prefer it to the Goon but the Goon is definitely in my top 5. The worse RDA is the Dead rabbit, gets way to hot and the airflow is weird as fuck.
What I can say though is MTL RTAs aren't gonna give you flavour as intense as a sub ohm RDA

While I like the galaxies when I want a more open draw, I'll run it with a fused clapton at higher watts. But with a Hastur mini and an Etna on a VT Inbox it mostly sits around, like it's doing now.

Going to have to go Hastur Mini now. Even the MTL guy on reddit hails it for the+ best RTA MTL if you cant get a kayfun v4. He had the same issues you did with the Kayfun v5. Strange because I prefer sub ohm 810 RDAs to be RL but hate the Zenith for that airy reason . ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Figured that was the case with the RDAs

I'll have to get one just because everyone has one.

+1 again

Thanks for that. if its not different in flavor, I'd definitely prefer a tighter airflow than I do now.

Awesome thanks for that. Im guessing these ones ship from hong kong, but i can try the prime and odis 16 after a couple of weeks. Your pics also give me buyers remorse when I think of mods lol. I keep hearing DNA in higher end mods, more to lrn

I'm exactly the same so I hear ya 100% :) I like a restricted lung hit when sub ohmimg then a tight draw for MTL.

I've just got the Savour btw and it does restricted lung hit and MTL an believe it or not it does both amazingly so I'd look into that if if I was you. Normally RTAs like that fail. I got the Merlin mini and that was to airy for just everything. It was to airy without the reducer then dint do proper MTL with the Reducer. The Savour is my main atty atm and I recommend it for sure cos it would suite you down to the ground :D

Two tanks to eventually get then. I see what bob meant by finding a path to follow when finding new tanks lol. I have to ask if either the Savour or Hastur mini have issues with fitting certain types of coils like a Fralien or Clapton. Still new to coils so I'm not sure if it require something special since some premade are labeled as "Fine MTL".

You won't fit a fralien in an MTL atty. You can only just fit a small fused clapton. MTL RTAs are better with round wire that's 26g and up. You can fit a clapton in some of them. Just depends on the deck.
I used to run a fused clapton in the Galaxies rdta, open up the airflow screw inside, have it on largest airflow on the outside and blast like 30 watts through it.
I used it as a restricted lung hit cos it dint do good at MTL.
The Hastur mini has the tighest airflow I've ever experienced so you don't wanna put a huge coil in there.
Sounds like you should get the Savour or Siren v2. You can bump up the wattage and put in a clapton :)

I use single core claptons in all my MTL tanks, and tried most of them out there, some can be a bit tight, but always make them work at 2.5mm, they come out to around 1.5ohms and vape at 20 watts, I can't go back to normal round wire coils, the flavor just pops so much better with clapton coil, even when MTL vaping.

Yeah you can definitely fit a simple clapton and they do vape well. I actually have a spool of that superfine fused clapton wire. Just not gonna jam in a massive alien haha

Really appreciate that info. Was worried about making an order and not having them fit. Was worried particularly with the Hastur Mini since I remember one youtuber couldn't fit a clapton in it. I don't know much about coils yet, so wasn't sure what they meant by "fine MTLs" if I wanted customs for it. These are the premade coils I mean:
