Took me a couple of tries but I'm kind of clueless. My son sat behind me rolling his eyes.
I remember showing my Dad how to use a computer around the time of Windows 95, all this Google stuff is too confusing for me to even try now lol.

My kids use all this Google stuff in school. Hell most of his homework is done through Google.

How's that? There's editing you can do to the pin, to customize it if you want
I’ve never used something like this so I really have no idea how it works and I’m using my phone so that probably doesn’t help.

When you click the pin, on the bottom right there's editing tools. Things like upload avatar, change pin style-i just changed mine to the sun-, color.....

I see a point 22(unlabeled pin).
The map has to be closed, then reopened to see any changes that were made by someone else. The link in my sig goes to the post where the map link is.

I’m on da map!
I’m lost how I pin myself to the map..
I’m on an iPad and I’m logged into my own google maps..clicking the forum map I see everyone’s pins but unsure how to add mine.

I don't know how it looks on Apple. I assume that same? Using Chrome...
Zoom in on your location and pin it where you want. Save and edit the top box. Good Luck
Click on that, then edit the little box that pops up, to change your name to whatever you want it to say. There are little buttons in the same box to change the color of your pin, or to make it an icon, etc... (if you choose to be fancy, lol)
I don’t have that toolbar or function on the iPad.. thanks for the help but I should be able to participate when I get on my computer later.
Added via computer.. it has all the functions in toolbar. (not on iPad)
