Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Vapeam Muse RDA, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note: This is not marked as a sample version

Introduction:
The Vapeam Muse RDA is the latest and first RDA from new vape manufacturer Vapeam. I had to do some research to find out about them and they appear to be a company that has a vape app and nothing else. Their official site just links you to download their app so seems like another vaffle or vape instagram type of company that decided to make a RDA. The Muse is a dual coil DTL RDA with an included squonk pin. It’s available in 3 colors Black, SS, and frosted silver (matte silver). Looking around online I only see it at 1 site which is myvpro for 26 USD

Initial Impressions
When I first got this RDA I thought it looked pretty cool. The outside is a little unique in its shape and i like the clear drip tip as well. Design wise though it reminded me of the dead rabbit a lot. Similar deck similar high airflow but instead of the angle down it has more of a block to make it go down i’ll explain later but yeah it’s really high up there. They also included a card for cutting your coil leads which i thought was kinda cool but also kinda not cool since many include actual tools these days but i guess it’s better than nothing. Overall though was kind of iffy on it.

Build Deck and Wicking (pics above)
Let’s talk about the build deck now. It’s a pretty standard postless deck which is a personal favorite of mine but which also means you have to precut your leads. The good thing is Vapeam includes a coil lead measuring card as well which is better than nothing but a tool would have been nicer. Worse off as you can see in my pics the card wants them way too high. No idea why they did that and the card in itself is confusing too. It looks like they offer a range of what’s good and a picture of what's ideal which is midway through the range of it. The ideal height matching their picture is way too tall. You’ll want to cut your leads at 8 MM which is what i found best. You also can install the coils 1 at a time as each lead gets its own hole They use good quality hex grub screws so i’m happy there. My personal favorite, and they include 2 spare hex grub screws as well but a full set of 4 would have been nice but not a big deal. The post screws come in from the side so flat wire leads won’t be twisted when installing and it works great for flat and round wire coils with no issues. I’d recommend a 3mm ID coil but you can fit up to a 3.5mm as well but it’s tight. 3mm is probably best for most people. Also move them more centered as the airflow blocks of space in the chamber as well and you don’t want to short your coil on those. So make sure the coils don’t overhand the posts where is about where the air blocks inside the chamber line up. Overall nothing groundbreaking but a solid postless deck with a poor guide card.

Wicking on it is quite easy. It’s an RDA so nothing fancy just drop your leads to the bottom.

Performance
Performance wise, I used it as a Dual Coil RDA only as intended no way to really run a single coil effectively anyway. I ran 4 builds in this a fancy 3mm ID build, a fancy 3.5 mm ID build, a fancy 2.5 mm ID build and 1 simple round 3.5mm ID build. For size I found it worked best with the 3mm ID. the 3.5mm ID was a really tight squeeze even with the round wire. Flavorwise it’s pretty poor and muted. It’s easily outperformed by many single coil RDAs and pretty much every dual coil RDA i’ve used in the past 6 months. Not impressed there at all.

Overall Impressions, Details, and Extras
Let’s talk about the airflow now. It has top airflow that drops down a little to be side airflow with a high enough coil. Externally there are 3 holes on each side that can be closed off 1 at a time. Internally it has 3 wide slits and 2 small holes. Not really sure what the point is there with their airflow design they call a “Z” design. I guess they mean if you look at it from the side it goes across, down, then across again which kind of makes a Z. You close off the air by spinning the top part of the top cap as it’s a 2 piece top cap. The top cap o-rings are good but a little too tight making adjusting the air a little harder than it should be. It’s not really hard to adjust but it still should be easier and would be with a little smaller of an oring. There is no stopper for the AFC however the top cap itself does lock into place to line up the air slots which also makes it easy to screw on and off your mod.

It comes with 2 standard 810 friction fit drip tips one is a clear one i assume is PMMA and 1 is a black delrin one. It also worked well with other 810 tips i’ve tried including friction fit ones and o-ring ones as well so you should be able to use others you have with no issues. It does not come with a 510 adapter so no 510 option unless you already have an adapter. The Drip tip fits very well in the RDA. snug, not loose, not tight. The quality on the Vapeam Muse RDA is quite nice as well. The o-rings for the top cap onto the base feel right and the top cap is snug but not tight. Very easy to take apart with no issues. Mine did however come with a broken o-ring the first time i toop the top cap off so i had to replace it but after replacing i had no issues. The AFC is a little harder to adjust then it should be though. The top cap does lock into place so also easy to get on and off mods. The post screws are good quality hex grub screws as well and 2 spare screws are included but they should have included 4. It comes with a standard 510 pin and a BF 510 pin like most RDAs these days as well.

The juice well is a good size. Not so much the well itself but because the airflow is so high up it allows planet of juice to be in the well like the Dead Rabbit and other top airflow RDAs. The over squonk protection and Over drip protection is pretty good. The top/side airflow is high enough up that it doesn't cause any issues leaking when dripping or squonking. I used it as a dripper and a squonker and it worked well. As a dripper you can drip right down the drip tip without taking off the top cap.

It’s a 24mm diameter so should not overhang on most mods on the market today. There is plenty of spare o-rings and 2 spare post screws for it, 1 allen wrench, no 510 tip adapter, 2 coils, and no cotton however. Pretty good amount of accessories overall however i feel they should have included a 510 tip, 2 more screws, and a 510 adapter. Also some cotton would have been nice but not a big deal. The 2 coils however are not labeled at all. They appear to be fused claptons but no label on the material or anything which is disappointing. Always label included coils please! Branding is pretty nice and simple. Just the word “MUSE” engraved in matching color right under the airflow holes on 1 side only so well done there. Not in your face or crazy by any means.

Pros:
  • 2 standard 810 tips (clear and black)
  • standard 510 pin and squonk pin included
  • plenty of spare o-rings
  • good quality hex grub screws
  • Good over squonk protection
  • works well as a dripper or squonker
  • simple looks and branding mostly
  • build deck is easy to build on
  • nice size juice well
  • good build quality
  • Price point (under 30 USD)
  • top cap locks into place
  • color options (3)
Cons:
  • Included coils not labeled
  • no 510 tip adapter
  • included coil lead cutting guide is way off
  • flavor is mediocre
  • AFC harder to adjust then it should be
  • came with a broken o-ring
Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this RDA?I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, but this one will lean towards the no. Dual coil RDAs is probably one of the most competitive vape products out there as far as so many good options i can’t really see a reason to pick this one up personally. I won’t be adding this to my sheet of recs linked down below.

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and i’ll catch you on my next review.
