guys, it seems like every ejuice i see is either made to taste like breakfast food or dessert.
i'm not finding what i want.
in my mtl mod, i have cassettes with a non sweet cherry juice,
i love that n would probably love any fruit flavor with little sweetener.
is there a company that makes that sorta thing?
i just have no need for overly complicated n overly sweet flavors

I would advise you take a look into DIY juices. I was unable to find a juice I preferred from major companies. Now I make my own juices for a fraction of the price of store bought. Eliquidrecipes.com is a great place to find new flavour profiles or to find recipes you might like, that is of diy is something you would want to try

thanks, karm.
yeah, i'll probably do that sooner or later.
it doesn't look that hard.
but, for right now, i'd like to buy some premade juices.
It really isn't that hard, it is somewhat of a rabbit hole if you're searching for new flavours to tickle your palette but if you've got a juice in mind it will be a damn sight easier. I can't offer any advice on store bought juices but if you need any pointers on percentages and the like when you get round to DIY just shoot us a DM or start a thread, will offer any advice I can

Welcome @susieqz and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Aside from DIY there are plenty of companies that offer just a plain old single flavor e-Liquid like Watermelon for example. Just have to look through the hundreds of flavors they offer. Good Luck

you know, i've skimmed some recipes.
no one is talking about simple fruit flavors.
karm, do you have a recipe for unsweetened cherry?

I don't have a single cherry flavour but I can certainly have a look myself or just come up with a starting point for you to try. A lot of my flavours have been trial and error Tbh.
If I was to try and create it myself and just pull numbers out I'd try;
5% wild cherry by capella
5% Black cherry by tfa at whatever ratio pg/vg you like and nicotine strength to your desire. That is with my experience with those particular flavours in batches I've created.
I'm going to have a look for a plain cherry recipe myself now and see where others have started. Will update shortly

After a short search those percentages seem to be a good starting point. Can I ask what type of cherry it is you prefer? Just so I can find a flavour concentrate that best rate sembles it. There are so many flavour concentrate companies now that it can be hard to decide which flavour concentrate is best. I have always found in my own recipes that a mix of flavours is better than a single flavour. I.E. If I was trying to create a strawberry custard I would use strawberry ripe by tfa, sweet Strawberry by capella and strawberry taffy by capella as just using one company's flavour concentrate can leave the flavour profile missing other parts of the fruit.
If I remember rightly there's a fella on here called boogenshizzle (might have butchered the name) who has written some good pieces on DIY juices, flavour concentrates and additives. Will try and find the thread for you now

I know other things have been covered but Verde valley Vapes, The sauce La, Vapewild, Tmaxx no frills, and om vapor. Best budget juice around. In my opinion. Vapewild has simple flavors and Verde valley has a great watermelon flavor

thanks tons, guys.
perhaps i can make a
dark cherry for myself.
first, i'll try wtm's suggestions to see
if i can buy premade, but i copied down those percentages so i can try
making my own.
does anyone happen to know the proper pg/vg ratio for mouth to lung?

i now have a direct to lung unit, just waiting on batteries but i doubt i'll ever give up mouth to lung.
i've been an addict for too many years.
diy has a great appeal. i don't cook only as a chore.
i love trying new recipes, so juice should be the same.

where do you guys get good ingredients at good prices?

Bull City flavors for everything except nicotine. They don't sell it. Myfreedomsmokes.com for that

thanks, wtm.
it's great to get info like that.
i bot a bunch of stuff from direct vapor because
they have free shipping.
now, i feel stupid because that free shipping costs more than places where you pay separate shipping.

also, i need reputable firms.
as much as everyone says ingredients are healthful, those things are made in factories n people make mistakes.

You also have Vaping Watch and DIY Flavor Shack who I trust. There are many recommended on here.

i see all the recipes are in ccs.
i don;t have measures for that.
can anyone suggest a good set, if i need a set?

i see all the recipes are in ccs.

I use ML's, and a good calculator should allow setting what measure you prefer. I use syringes and graduated cylinders/beakers for mixing and usually pour the measured ingredients right into a bottle. I clean one graduated cylinder....... Oh the pain, the mess~! :giggle:

I would suggest a 10 ML size as you are starting out and easy to measure. If you get the Liquid Barn Kit it comes in the Labware Kit plus a beaker and syringes along with plastic bottles

thanks, steve.
i guess i'll just get the kit.
since i just want fruit flavors i bet i can find a generic recipe to just add different fruit flavors to.

LB has some one bottle fruity flavors last time I looked and check out some of the other brands they offer these days.

I just checked and I have all the fruit flavors they offer plus a fair amount of the others. Feel free to ask my opinion on any you are interested in. And don't forget you should get FREE Shipping with the price of the DIY starter kit................

well, they don't seem to have cherry, how about the peach n the apple?
mostly, i need to stay away from dessert flavors.
if i thot that they could moderate my craving for sweets i'd jump at them, but knowing me, they would turn me into a hunger crazed food addict.

I use the Peach and the Green Apple both in some concoctions I came up with. In my opinion all are good but Strawberry needs to air out or I taste the Alcohol.

Last night I baked homemade muffins from scratch and never used that recipe before in my entire life. Made Banana Nut bread the other day and again never made that before~! I can make whatever I want so DIY e-Liquids is just another thing I find real easy. Oh the Banana Nut Bread was like Banana Fudge so rich and creamy~!

When I cook using new recipes I hardly ever follow them to the letter. It always has my own personal touch like my e-Liquids I never followed a recipe yet but rather make my own concoctions using other recipes for ideas. Substitute a flavor NOPE! I made my own creation but it might be based on something else.

steve, can i cut ejuice with tap water.?
i ordered 4 to try n every one is too thick for my mtl mod/
only one shows what it is. it says 70/30 n the others
all look just as thick.
kinda irritating when labels don't tell you %s

NO! That is definitely not something that is recommended although some use Distilled Water. Actually, Yes you can, you can do whatever you like, but it is not something I would do. Remember Tap water is treated with chemicals and I would not want to vape them myself.

k, thanks.
actually, if i get the batteries i can use this stuff in the new mod.
not sure if i'll like mouth to lung, but i'll give it a try.

If you want to thin your juice out all you do is add PG. The opposite also works. Add VG if it's too thin. As for finding a good app for measurements I tend to use ejuice lab for my mixing, isn't overly complicated and will tell you not just MLs but by drops or weight. I wouldn't advise using drops as a measurement as if the nibs to bottles are different sizes there will be a difference in the size of drops. Flavour drops can be added to a mix if you find it isn't strong enough, it can't be taken away though so I'd start sparingly and increase to your preferred taste. The only thing you're "missing" is that different flavours vary in strength and are affected differently with time. For example I use strawberry in a higher percentage than I would a citrus fruit like lime. After a long time steeping some flavours can drop off slightly (strawberry is notorious for being hard to create and hold in a juice) and bring the lesser flavours more to the front. Also different flavour concentrate companies have different takes on the fruit/drink/dessert and more often than not aren't complete representations of whatever flavour it is you're trying to achieve. Another one is cream flavours. They're usually done in small percentages as they can dominate a juice after steeping if the starting percentage was too high. There are guidelines per flavour company on what percentages to use their products at, but they're just guidelines and they don't alter them for the different types of flavours I.e. Creams, tobaccos, citrus, bakery etc.
That being said though with you trying to just find plain flavours the brain wracking shouldn't be that bad for you. Once the experimenting starts though you'll think about it every time you taste another person's juice, diy or store bought. Enough from me now, sorry for the long post

Distilled water works well and is cheap. Just start by adding 3 drops to your tank. In a tank I wouldn't use over 6 drops. If it works you can add to the existing juice. We can help you figure out how much.

Full Circle I think it may be made by Essex (not sure). But simple single fruit flavors. Very good real tasting fruitz and berries. The two I tried were blueberry and honeydew. Both were excellent.

you can also try cheaper vape stores like vapewild -- usually simple flavors, ie just blueberry, just strawberry, just banana, etc etc etc. about 7 or 8 bucks for a 30 ml, etc. vapewild isnt the only cheap juice vendor with simple flavors to choose. tmaxx;s no frills mls is another , even more highly recommended around than vapewild or mtbaker (a 3rd vendor)

With the vast amount of flavours about now it can be hard for anyone to find their favourites. Nothing about being dumb, maybe dumbfounded by all the choices haha
