Mesh vs. Clapton(s) Flavor

So I was coiling and wicking my wotofo profile. I made a SS mesh coil the same size as the included ones. Tried wicking it once with my own cotton and it was burning it.

Now it SEEMS to he working correctly but the flavor just isn't on par with my dual coil claptons in my Peerless RDA. I guess I'm wondering should the flavor be much more comparable?

So yeah I'm trying to figure out from people that have a mesh RDA working properly, does it perform comparably to single coil/dual coil Claptons in RDAs?

Just don't want to keep wasting cotton only to find out that's as good as the flavor gets. It's not bad but it's not nearly as good as my Narca with my parallel build or my Peerless with hex core fused claptons.

I'm thinking perhaps there's too much cotton but it's not dry hitting and I made my coil to be exactly the same size as the included mesh coils and then used the included cotton. So in theory that should be the right amount.

Perhaps I'm expecting too much from mesh. I thought maybe if I do a single coil Clapton in there I can get an idea of how good the RDA is flavor wise in general and then go from there. In theory the mesh should perform at LEAST as good as a single quad core or hex core fused clapton, right?

You must be doing something wrong. My Profile RDA is far and away better than any Clapton coils. Single or dual...

Alright well that's encouraging. I'll have to keep toying with it and see if I can't get better flavor off of it. I wish I could figure out how much surface area there is from my mesh coil. It'd give me a much better idea of what to expect.

Based on your post I should be getting better flavor than I am though. Maybe too much cotton in there.

Possibly. Wicking the profile is a learning curve. Plus try OFRF Nexmesh coils. Better than any mesh on a roll.
