Waiting to read your impressions on the MTL rda stuff.

The update so far... the Ammit is not for me. I tried 3 different coils, even my tried and true six year round wire .9Ω build. For a tight mtl which limits me to the second or third airhole, the vape is just too harsh. Not nicotine harsh but rather rda harsh. The same harshness I used to get from the speed revolution because the airhole was too far from where you had to position the coil. But with the ammit, it seems more related to the diluted air flow. Comes from all around the top, down through the deck then up through like 3 or 4 holes. Plus the top cap was ungodly tight even over lubed o-rings. Maybe it would be OK for restricted dl but I already have that base covered.

Now I'm still vaping the cyclone but my Cthulhu 1928 made it through ISC NY and the Etna is close behind so wish me luck. Also got a topside squonk and Profile (mesh) rda incoming to mix things up a bit.

@snake94115 I ordered the coffee from some place through Amazon. I forget the seller but the coffee is pretty good, nice and smooth. I just got the regular roast, 48 oz can.

It's odd some people seem to get a weird taste from kanthal or NiC80.
I've never had issues with either.

Yeah well then again, weirdos know who other weirdos are too. Weirdo! Also, famous last words. Ha!

I find oddness thinking how camel dung and sand can be combined to create a form of adobe, yet there are still nomads. The dung loses its odor when used like that. Sand cures it out. Bricks are bricks yet historically there was never any indication the practice of using such adobe in the ME was used to any great extent.

Yes I know, go drink some sawdust. I'm thinking on that plate of beans way too much.

Dang - welcome to the club!
(actually, my part of California doesn't shake - but it was hard to breathe for a week from forest fires...)

This is some real quake damage!
Anything more serious than a tipped tree for you? Spilled juice, or freaked out pets maybe?

It indeed did

The only thing they got wrong on this report is that it says North America's largest earthquake was centered near Anchorage - untrue! It was centered here in Valdez at 9.2 and it destroyed the town after the tsunami

Thanks for all the replies to my "which squonk mod/kit to buy!" -- not necessarily looking for cheapest (I think my post came across that way) -- I'm looking more for quality and usability. Also, you know, a mod that won't break after 3 days usage and a small leak (I'm looking at you, vaporesso armour pro). I was looking at that topfill unit, too, so that one looks interesting and a possibility.
Since there'e no polite way to ask I'm just going to ask outright.
Are you a cloud chucker or a tootle puffer?

@chohan , did you get the EDNA yet? The deck looks a lot like the Odis 16, might just have to get one (black is $20 on sale).

WOW!!!!! I caved in a bit here and there but my spending on vape gear is way less than it was.....at least for now. Still love the Odis16, but EDNA could be a viable (and much more cost effective) alternative. Granted, the airflow is different than O16, but I'll just have to try it one of these days.

I have rarely even looked at anything new - easier that way - weak and freckless as I can be when it comes to the quest for an exquisite squonk

"Well, I didn't know, leave me be."

I tried a few coils to dial in my MTL'ish RTAs and settled in on 2.5mm 28/40 6 wrap N80 claptons.

I also tried various air flow options (Dvarw comes with 0.8-2.5mm$ and I like the 1.2-1.6 with the 1.6 honestly being a tad loose.

The coils end up just being shy of 1ohm and flavor is actually quite good.

I also started with Kanthal builds .7ish at first and although it was decent it wasn't all that good.

I might try a 2mm coil when the set of coils I currently have go bad.

I did 3mm at first cause they fit, to large for the chamber and AF.

Always look at RTAs and RDAs as carbs on my old 2 strokes and getting the correct jetting

I have a. . 7 kanthol in now and it's ok. Not sure if Clapton will fit might try later. And I'm using 3.mg nic like in my rl atys. Probably need to go up on it. Reason is I stay in motel 2 nights a week and I set smoke alarm off lol. Noone came to my room held a towel on it lmao. If I remember to hold vape in doesn't fog room up. But thought I'd try the mtl for motel.

It's a nice change of pace...if you're wanting a different rta with more air, the Coppervape Dvarw MTL rta is 98% of the authentic. And it comes with all the airflow inserts and tank sections. 0.8-3mm airflow and 2ml -5ml tanks

I looked at the vapfly galaxies and heard allot about the dvarw in the shed.

Enjoying the tail piping of a Wasp Nano today. Think I've decided imho at least, tail piping is how this RDA is meant to be used. Putting on the short drip tip seems to guide it more toward an MTL RDA for me. That's okay but I prefer a DL off of it, which tail piping does.

Began tail piping the Gorge just now as well. So far, so good. :) The only thing is I need to put a different build in the Gorge. Got a fused Clapton going but it's not, ... going.

Ha! A simple 24 awg w/ 2.5 mm ID reading .5 NiC80 got it going. :)

I've been thinking about getting the Dvarw, which one do you guys have? Links would be appreciated since there are several versions of the damn thing.

I really think you'd like it Brew. Here's the link to the one I have. While I can't speak to the accuracy of it like So619Cal with the Coppervape version, I can say it is quality regarding the machining, threading, etc. Plus it comes with all the bits and bobs for a great price.

Not to further enable you, but there's a 16mm authentic Dvarw being released on Monday at 8am and another drop at 2pm on the KHW site.

For the purposes of this squonk I'll be buying, I'll be using it for lung hits. I never consider myself a cloud chucker, as I go for flavor, but this is def not for MTL or tootle puffs. I'm leaning towards the topside/topfill (whatever its called -- I did see a review on it)...but I just want something that wont break for a while.
