Here are the readme files.
-----------------------------------------

Install, connection and wallpaper.

1. Run the yihi-vsticking-sxi.msi install file following all the offered options.

2. Remove the atomizer from your device and power it down.

3. Use a micro usb cable to physically connect the mod to an available usb port on the PC.

4. Launch the SXI program by double clicking on the SXI shortcut now on your desktop.

5- The first time it may or may not default to the "connection" area of the program suite. If it doesn't, then click the blue connection button.

6- If it doesn't connect, click the blue rectangular "install driver" button and follow the self explanatory onscreen instructions. When it's done, you may or may not have to click connect again, but it will establish a connection either way.

(If Windows pops up a scary message about the device not being recognized, just close and ignore it. It's nothing to worry about.)

Clicking the blue and black "SXI" button right above where it says "Return" will take you back to the homescreen at any time. Click that.

----------------------------------------------
To upload wallpaper:
For this you may have to turn the device back on.

1. Click on the "custom" button. If it launches the logo maker, just close it from the X in the upper right hand corner of the window. Sometimes it makes you do this a few times. Don't ask me why, but I'll figure it out :)

2. Click on preview on any of the wallpaper numbers on the left and it will show up ON THE MOD. Not the software. this is a preview to let you decide which one you want to replace.

3. Click "open file" and point the dialog at the JPG picture file you want to replace that one with. It will display in the "wallpaper preview" box in the middle of the window.

4. Click replace wallpaper number on the right, corresponding with the one you decided you wanted to replace on the mod. You'll see a yellow progress bar go across the bottom indicating that the file is uploading.

5. When it's done, you can close the software, disconnect the mod, and choose the wallpaper you just uploaded from the menus on the device if it didn't do it automatically during the upload.

-----------------------------------------------

And here's the other one for upgrading the firmware.

------------------------------------------------

To upgrade the firmware:

REMOVE the atomizer and make sure the device is powered ON before launching the SXI software.

1. Launch the SXI software.

2. Click on the "upgrade" button.

3. Click "open file."

4. Point the dialog at the vk530-firmware-1161.SXI file included in this package.

5. Click "go to upgrade" button.

6. It will like what it sees, so you can then click the blue "upgrade" button.

You will see the green progress bar moving across as it flashes the mod, followed by a happy message telling you the upgrade has finished.

I would turn the device off, attach your atomizer and turn it back and then you should be all set.

The YiHI process is practically foolproof. You'd pretty much have to intentionally try to have something go wrong. I'll help in any way I can.

The ZIP FILE I created has 2 readme files in it with step by step instructions for both upgrading the firmware and uploading wallpaper. Step by step.

Uploading one will automatically replace one. It's all in the readme files. :)

That should still work.

I was kinda getting that sense and that's ok. There's nothing to be embarrassed about there. Seriously.

Let's start with this actually. Do you know how to open a zip file? If not, that's fine too and I'll put together a simple web page where you won't have to.
I turned off the mod and took off the tank-
I brought up your program- plugged in the included USB and it says driver installation failed

There are instructions in there though about what to do when it says the driver installation failed. But like I say if you're having trouble, will get you through it.

Yippee- I did it!
I uploaded the SnapDragon avatar to my mod! Success- now I have to charge my phone and I will take a picture of it.
Thank you so much @gsmit1 for all of your help and info- you are a sweetheart to do this and take the time to write out the steps to achieve mine and hopefully others on how to install upgrades and custom wallpapers!
For putting up your link and everything you did!
When I have more time I will try the upgrade features- but for now my VSticking looks awesome with my avatar!

OUTSTANDING!!!!!

I knew you could do it!!!! It looks great too!!!!

When you get a chance, please tell me how the instructions could be better and I'll update the files.

You're welcome and of course feel free to pass it on as needed as well.

You do want to do that firmware upgrade when you can too though. (not to sound pushy) It's no more complicated than doing what you've already done and this company seems to take their work seriously. They apparently have another version on the way already. Still working on it

Unless you like yank the USB cable out while it's flashing or you have a power outage or something, you won't brick the device.

Like the readme says, the firmware flash is named "vk530-firmware-1161.SXI" and it's included in the package. (You should have seen the original name :D )

Got a couple of these coming....
24f116f09c969526ce36726968b615ff.jpg

I knew it.

:D I KNEW IT!!!! :D

This will be a good addition to your vast and ever expanding collection Manny. It doesn't quite have the machismo fit and feel to it that the Cylon does (I'm being serious), but under the hood she's a screamer.

You'll be able perch those 30mm RTA,s up top as well. I bet you're gonna love it.

You can't go wrong with them Yihi's...... If it works out of the box leave it alone..... No need to update anything.....
When you start messing with settings and download software and start changing shit around it's when they start acting up.....

On anything, I only mess with firmware if there's a needed fix or something I really want. If it isn't broke don't fix it.

I knew you already had a few YIHI driven devices, but you don't have THIS one LOL!
------------------------------------------------------
This is the SX530 chip and board.

If I have my information straight now, the main differences between this chip and the J series chips is that is has buck, but not boost which really shouldn't matter unless you run your batteries down which I don't. 3.6-3.5 volts and they're swapped out and back on the charger.

Also, I don't think it has 16 bit resistance sampling, which I'm not sure how much difference that makes since this mod already does really good TC for me anyway.

Honestly this is pretty much like flashing a BIOS EEPROM on a computer. Only easier. At least than it used to be.

I'm convinced that people who break their devices during a flash are very much the exception and have done something to deserve it almost every time. Like anything else, they are the ones who yell the loudest, giving the impression of a more pervasive issue than it is. Even my SMOK Procolor, with their convoluted method for firmware upgrades, went without a hitch.

With a device as feature rich as this one, I'll do the upgrades. Worst case is that I downgrade to the older version. In this particular instance the upgrade fully enables the capability of the SXI software, at least. I wish they would include release notes in the package by default in the future though.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you're wrong as of course whatever way you want to do things is certainly right for you.

My main point is that, after looking around for a good while, I think that some folks are more wary of this than the evidence warrants.

I'm happy with the SX 500.... No blue tooth, no nipple, it's just bad ass to the bone..., On power + at 50 or 60 watts you push the button and it's take off.....

Haha- the black is not boring if you love it! Some people are just not into some of the designs which is OK too! I think you will love the VSticking and will be able to get a black one to enjoy! I was glad to see a manufacturer offer prints on their mods.
I have another VSticking in my cart at Aliexpress ( not sure if I want black or silver skull) same vendor you chose- looks like the black is in stock there and a great price + free shipping. I found a purple Augvape Intake RTA on Aliexpress also, in my cart it went.

Here's a good question. Did you close and relaunch the SXI program after you disconnected the mod? If you plugged the mod in and it found it, then unplugged it, left the program open and plugged it back in, it might not see it. It doesn't for me.

Did anyone figure out how to put the plastic mod protectors on the mod?

Edit: never mind lol! You just peel off the sticky on the back.

HERE again is the link to my package for this mod. I am serious when asking for feedback. I would love for it to be as simple as possible for as many people as possible.

The texture is nice and the very slightly concave sides enhance the feel too.

The structural body is made out of aluminum where most mainstream mods have zinc alloy. Being used to other mods, like the Cylon, the light weight gave me the false psychological impression of cheapness at first. I did get over that though.

Since you said it first ( :) ) I do think the White Deity design is quite feminine. Not that men can't like it too. but I'm pretty sure the Chinese manufacturer had the ladies in mind when they came up with that print.

It’s a Japanese anime character Inuyasha. Japanese men have no issues wearing pink or seemingly feminine designs/colors.

I wonder if this thing is good enough that I would get this instead of another g class
I've never touched a g class so I can't compare them directly. I don't pretend to be an expert on TC either, but I can say that once I got it figured out it hasn't left TC since. To me anyway it does excellent TC with 316L. Very consistent smooth hit from the time it reaches my target temp which must be way less than a second.

In power mode I can't imagine what the significant difference might be. That doesn't mean there can't be one, but I don't know what it would be for practical purposes.

It's built solid and has a great battery door which appears to be practically identical to the one on the g class. There is some very minor play in the fire button, but it doesn't rattle when you shake it.

With the 1.161 firmware it now supports all the features of the SXI software suite too.

It's also less than half even a decent sale price of a g class.

Hi guys. Just received my win from @Everzon today. Can say that it is awesome and works fine. Mod reads resistance more accurate than my two Vaporesso's mods. They read .21 and this one read .2 Ohms like DNA do. I've read this thread, found firmware here (thanks @gsmit1 ), updated my mod just because I like to do it with all my stuff. It is bigger than my usual mods but very comfortable in hands. Just happy to share my thoughts.

Big congrats on winning the color I wanted, but accidentally didn't order! :D

Any suggestions on improving the readme files or anything else about the download package?
