Now, pardon the innuendo. When I was a younger lad I had polished my wood shinier than my now bald head!

Seriously Asmodus "editions" IE., 1/1 come with a padded emery board ladies may know well. To buff their nails. It is not high grit either! I would say. One side is like 400 and the other 600. Being an Engineer Manny you know there are grits of 90,000 but pretty much useless for this. I would wet sand with automotive backed 2,000. that would be sweet IMO. Certainly wet sand. Just take out batteries!

Oh, manny as a Engineer I figured you would know. At least you honest bro. High grit emery paper to apply wax is for furniture. Most I find effective is 32,000. Do what I said above. At your own risk of course but nothing will go wrong. Always in up/down-left-right motion. never sand in a circular motion. long story.

see stabwood by its very nature is another name for "cured wood". Applying wax will just make your hand greasy. As it will repel it. Stabwood has no pores like regular wood. It is soaked in resin. even if you don't see it, clear resin then. the whole point is it is much stronger and waterproof. Wax and high grits are pointless here. You want an automotive backed(brown back paper) 2000 grit to sand with water. Luke warm. Then brush off with damp Chamois. The water acts as a buffer to provide no scratches or swirls. An old school application on automobiles with candy paint like a mirror.

Dude it will be shinier than the sun. Just "coat" the paper with luke warm water preferably distilled. Wring out the Chamois hard. I do not bother because I live like a pig. Fuck, I literally live WITH pigs! like the damn Beverley Hillbillies here. If you do as I say it will shine the most possible. Never, ever use a machine buffer! You will melt the resin and fuck it up bad. Again, at your own risk. I an many others been doing this for 60 years.

Go at a medium pace and do not apply any pressure. well, very lite pressure. Max shine possible. Breathe has a spalted green one(rare wood), no colored resin. Plus one with a ton of "translucent" resin. I did not dig those and got another but you might like them. This is top of the tops. They do Stabwood better than anyone IMO. The chip is 15% to DNA250. Only because never hook to a PC for any reason while holding down fire button. Otherwise fine.

It looks as as I'm wetting and polishing like a blue color milky substance is coming off like old material and feels somehow like liquid plastic is liqufiying and coming off......

But there is more definition visible and the body is getting darker.....

Gorgon got some 3M 2,000 grit and man it's like magic.... My finger tips hurt but worth it..... All I used was warm water and the VA is like you can't hold it.... Slips out of your hand and with zero Chemical.....

All I used was warm water and elbow grease.....The shine I coul never imagine..... It looks like I sprayed it with clearcote........

Thanks man....

Those look amazing. the milky color always happens. doubt anything is coming off. I knew it was the way to go. Funny, I want these but do not really care to polish them. My Thor came with an Emery board. One side looks like 600 and the other 800. That is to low. The 2,000 works like 10,000 while wet because it "floats on water". Just do not rub hard. Wear thick cotton gloves. You still get on hands but retain dexterity. I wonder how would be "Mothers" wheel polish. I am going to say quit while you are ahead with that though. Those look 100% nicer than factory. Almost Like LSD trip. I would know nothing about that of course.

OT, Manny you can answer q? Squanker needs a certain Atty?

I would honestly consider just put that on a shelf now. It is a work of art. Maybe worth thousands now. If you drop it or something it is sure to really ruin your day. Use the Asmodus. I like them but they tend not to use much resin. I like resin so much Vopoo is nice. Nah it is no big deal, Manny. I don't use one either. I just figured a standard RDTA how the juice would go up into it. Hardly matters if you want to drip I guess. I like a Salt Atty but would only use 3mg? No way I could take 1 hit 50+mg. I like the size of them. That looks incredible. My Duke and Knight not even close to that. I am not one to spend 16 hours polishing. People do even for a living. Top furniture makers. My kitchen cabinets spalted Maple look nice to me. Congratulations ,Manny that is beautiful. I guess end of thread? No one will top that I doubt.

Minikin is very nice but I kind of lean towards VA. VA in production comparable Quality to a Kodama but the colors seem to "pop" more on VA. Although let's see what you do. They may be equal again after polish Just me I can't polish 16 hours. Shit my arms barely even work anymore. When I was 45 I probably would have. I am fucking lucky I am alive is all. No pity story fuck no just saying some things I regret I can no longer do. Used to be wizard with electronics. Now I send RMA. Maybe Great Grandsons will for $100. $100 still seems like a lot at 13 lol.

Asmodus Thor is a steal IMO. The Ultroner with the 250C runs 15 Minutes longer on 26650. Worth a Benjamin? You decide. Same wood, made by Asmodus themselves. In many ways the chipset in Minikin is better than Yihi or Evolv. What is so special about DNA is not the chipset! It is the control offered by escribe. If you can do without it(which you probably can). The Minikin actually has a somewhat more "functional" chipset IMO. IE, fires instantly no lag albeit DNA lag is tiny. It does heat much faster. Makes battery last longer with Boost. V2 has boost as well. Many don't know that.

I like Asmodus. However if looking at one over $800 VA Knight is super nice too. Just get them all like Manny and I! Seriously, I fully understand cost to many folks. I am not some Dick. Just worked hard many years, now get large pension plus Social Security. Element of luck too no doubt. Just do not want to sound like an ass.

Speaking of which how about Ass-Modus because it kicks ass. Own chipset, even from China is not a cheap endeavor. The R&D which Asmodus pulled off nicely. The chip in bulk to Asmodus maybe $2.50 USD. Can get large quantity DNA250C at $49 but they are making money still Maybe their chip costs $20 simply because made in USA? Our labor just costs more that is all. Nothing cares where it is made, It is just many companies "job" to lowest bidder.

Asmodus owns their Fab. The wood made in California. Take the Thor they almost give it away. Although V2 Kodama often had for $225 is way worth the $100 over a Paranormal IMO. I now have a dead beautiful Kodama boost. Asmodus does not have the board. I so wish I could fix it. Once I may have. It could just be one Diode or Resistor but I believe it is the Cmos which would need a non Kodama donor and huge job I cannot do myself. Asmodus is unwilling too. I offered them $2,000USD to fix it and they turned it down.

Man The Kodama is tougher to get a shine on.... But slowly ....

It's like you said The Kodama has probably less resin....

Holy shit! That's nice. Do you have more? lol. Resin in woodworking is "cheap" but we like it. Resin is softer hence polishing faster as you had guessed.
Hold paper flat so wood does not end up higher than resin! I would tape wet paper to a marble tile and run the Mod along it. Never in circular motion. Regardless you banged those out like a Mother Funker. Now.... I like your Asmodus better but both straight up. Too much Resin can separate from wood as it ages. So keep those in room around 70F and 50% humidity. +/- 6 is okay. Or put in case with cigar humidifier. Fuck, remind me of that stinky ass shit. The entire top 3rd of VA is resin. The yellow is resin on Asmodus. So you did good not to pop that shit right out. Damn that is nice. I can't do it though. 1/1 Kodama lost at PO! insured for 10 grand so joke will be on them. Duke kind of big for me I like my Knight. Cannot easily polish even if I could. Due to where screen is. I imagine you taped screen too. I am interested in "mothers" wheel polish but might wreck them. Sweet.

My Falcon leaked all over the place because used 21 watts duh. The Falcon on Kodama looks right. Your shit remind me of Hawaii some reason. Like Umbrella drink on beach just vaping. Rock on!

It's weird how it looks on the other side, it has the knots and has more of an earthy brown color...... Compared to the blue on the other side.

The back part is simply blue......

I started the back side..... It took me several hours to smoothen out wet. Now at the top you can see a small section of blue.... I worked 10 minutes on that top rim.

This will give me an idea on how the back will look when finished.....

Incredible. See, if they spent 30 hours hand polish mod would be say at $60 an hour $1,800 plus probably just raise the mod itself value to 2 grand. So you have a 4 grand mod about. I suggest you get "Butchers bowling alley wax". rub it in real good for 1/2 hour with chamois. It will look obscene then. Do not get any other wax. Easily get it online. About $15 enough to do 500 mods. Just very lite coat. It binds with the wood not greasy. I would do this if I could. People must think you are a billionaire if you bring that in vape shop. does not even resemble Asmodus. Put the wax and it will poke out your eye. I know about woodworking.

It is a perfect fit on a avid lyfe able, but would need about a inch cut off to fit proper. Trying to debate if it's worth the loss. The wood is a sleeve that goes over 22mm mods, right now the mod inside the sleeve is a AV buster (pos). Lol

Well, these are customs to begin with sort of. He simply improved it. As I said no one is going to polish 30 hours at factory. Perhaps in China lol.

A heads up: do not polish any lacquered Mod. Such as Kodama boost. All do have a thin matt "lucite" but fine to take off. Go sand lacquer and disaster perhaps. It looks much shinier to begin with anyhow. I would put a thin coat of Lemmon oil on it(Lem-oil). Or Linseed oil. Not greasy and will protect and shine. Lacquer is semi porous so a drop of oil does good. Put about 5 drops on spot on Chamois for entire Mod. Always tape off screen and certainly USB port! Remove battery first even Li-Po. Just do not want folks to imitate Manny and screw up big time. Manny knows what he is doing obviously.

On that note. I would always tape USB port in use or use Dummy plug. Even dust in there can kill board. USB-mini sucks. I am sure future Mods will use USB-C.

What is this Mod sleeve you speak of? A wrap or real wood? What about the vents? Interested in this.

that is truly amazing. almost looks fake(in a good way) lol. I wish I could do it. In wheelchair. No pity please I am happy.

Yesterday got two kodama 1/1 and a repaired mod from evolve plus another knight. I worked hard too. Not some 80 year old brat. This is honestly all I buy now, sure, much more than smoking but these are just lovely. reason stabwood is fanciest mods. at this age my wife hardly cares. As long as she gets Gucci bags. I prefer Asmodus just because of numbered ones and not more than VA.

Where can I buy those grits locally?
I have a buffing wheel, white compound and the red. I also have mustache/beard wax lol that I could use on the wood, would that work on the wood? I was watching videos of someone rubbing the wood with was to keep the shine on and the moisture out as that dulls the wood

I got those on Amazon, and there is no spinning involved..... All by hand straight up and down ....

No circular motion involved...... All I used was warm water......

There is resin mixed in with the wood.... So a spinning wheel might heat up and damage the Stabwood....

It's very sensitive...... That's why a good Stabwood shine is by using you hands and care......

It's hard work for sure, but worth the time.....

Just a white wheel will polish faster. You mean a 4" cotton buffer? It will do it fast but not as good as hand. as with anything else barely touch it! you dig in that wheel and you no longer have mod but dust! I do not mean xxxxx xxxx either. I use to polish cd's I get for free from record stores. No one plays cd's anymore. Takes the scratches out. Barely touch that!

I use a lot of Mustache wax but on my face. I have traditional Mustache. It has zero grit.

If Rockler is by you they have up to 40,000 which is AKA rag lol.

Manny, I have been married over 50 years. That being said. If I ever met you I would love you to show me your wood in person! I mean your Mods of course lol. Who knows maybe one day at a vape convention. I don't get out that way much but you never know. Those are honestly the best shit I have ever seen. Like I said, no one is going to hand polish, now 60+ hours at factory. Asmodus and VA do absolutely nothing in the way of polishing. Now I am telling you keep a bit of butchers on it. You removed the top coat, natural resins of cured wood. Not the resin they put in it. So if you do not "feed" them now they might crack! Especially in hot/cold extremes. Try also to keep those close to 70F and 50%RH now.

Here Brother,
You could not find it because it is now called "BWC". Butchers Wax Company. Asked Rockler, same formula unchanged. I bet you can find lower price. 3 cans in '93 cost $28 for all three but it was '93 of course. I still have some of one can left. It never dries out. Just be careful on any silkscreened logo's which you do not have anyways. Since it contains "Terps". That is why it is so unique. Renaissance uses "VOCS" for carrier oil. Also why Butchers never dries out. I estimate a Can might do 1,000 Mods. If you want to do this as a side living I think good idea. Can't charge real time/labor. Maybe $100 per Mod? Simply no one is going to pay $500 for that service. Hey, do not go smell that stuff! You should always wear glasses and mask for any type of woodworking. Especially sanding. You stopped Analogs for concern of yourself. Sanding hurt your lungs in just 3 months possibly. Look at the reviews. This is not Walgreens stuff, Pro. Ace should have it too. Hate to see their price.

On another note OT, Evolv just screwed me. Very unlike them. I am sure they will make good on it.

Thanks Gorgon..... have a lot of people wanting to use buffers and they don't understand that during sanding I'm looking for spots with resin and either sanding faster or slower depending on what details I see on the wood.

If you see a knot you have to sand around it not to bust a knot..... Ha ha.....

It has to be done for hours and hours and just taking minimal amounts of the wood.... People think they are digging 1/4 of a millimeter but in reality you are removing microns..... That's why they all it Micro fiber......

Take the time..... I would not do this to make extra money...... Its too painful.... And really I am going to spend 20 hours sanding something to make $100 bucks.... When I GET UP in the morning my fingers hurt and getting blisters......

Now I have respect for $1,500 dollar mod.... People say what $2,500 $5,000 for a vaping mod. ?

But man how hard it is to get them beautiful.... And the amount of hours.....

They look incredible. They provided a repair that was not repaired lol. It went back, taking care of it. They must of just made a mistake.

Nah Manny I do the same. I have over 120 Mods and about 40 high end stabwood. Plus high end Mechs. Total investment in my vaping history? Guessing 40 grand. Not cheaper than smoking. When was the last time you saw a Cig that looked like these? I just like wood. From desks to cutting boards.

I just killed my Crown III. Fuckit. Do not even sell the Motherfucker hardly anymore. That leads me to believe.... Your favorite factory tank is Falcon? Rocking it now. Have to use at 16W. This bad boy is a Motherfucker cloud chucker! Went outside in -15 and hit it at 120. Holy shit. I choked like some Alabama Kush. Just wanted to make sure I got the good tank? What do you recommend for RDA? I see your Gold one but don't know what that is. Man, Crown shattered in my hand! It is quartz so no cuts. Sad to see that go but time to move on. I was stuck on temp control. Some said temp the Falcon is very dangerous? I know OT but you kind of need an Atty lol. What are the Gold Bastards?

Yeah people have no idea how good the Falcon is for a tank with premade coils...... I have a couple of gold tanks... (1) is top airflow but it's the recommended one is a The dead Rabbit....... It's worth the $35.00 price tag, from materials to looks it's a good one......

The second one that looks like it has a crown it's the best of all, the flavor is in the Rda category and rated to be one of the best by every reviewer and user ..... It's the Reload......... Don't get a clone get the real in the metal tin can.

I also have a 30mm Gold Modfather...... This is a Beast, heavy, best build quality from anything made, clouds and flavor......but weights as much as a small mod.......

The Modfather and The reload you must wick perfect there is no other way, they piss on themselves if not properly wicked......

But when wicked correctly amazing tanks.......

Oh reload looks nice too. Ill get that one. Manny, not to undermine our hard work but you and I laugh at $35? Come on, you had a grand of 2 mods now maybe 10 grand. You can sell those $$$ if you want but I wouldn't. I never sell stuff. Regret it later. Your work is worth more than any $$$. Then again that is why we work but not on this. This is a hobby not work. If you built your own mods like this no doubt they go for 5-6 grand. I thought you use a RDA? I can't due to disability. You should have Metal band made that says 007. They would think you are really him! I can see that in LV Casino floor. Got a $50 mod sucks balls, Aegis. Put this in grinder! You only have 2 stabwood? Thought you had more. You need more!

Oh, reload is build RTA. I can't use. Falcon is best factory coil? Leaking but on same coil 5 weeks.
