That's cool you have the pictures right on your puter....!
Shortly after I got disabled, I started a personal project to scan every photograph I had (those not lost anyway), which was about 20,000 (I was a fanatic picture taker), so essentially, my whole life is on a detachable hard drive (backed up on CD-ROMs).

Seems like older I get, the faster the years slip by, way to quickly.
Simply mathematical progressions. The ratio of one year to your age when you were, say, six years old, was 1/6th of your life (no wonder it took so long between Christmases). But now, at 60, that same year is only 1/60th of your life and from one birthday to the next is the blink of an eye.

You got that correct, Rich....!

I really need to think about selling everything and just get the hell out of here for good. Live an easy life, in SA. I wish I wasn't so greedy, the money is just flying in lately, almost at a pace I've never seen in the past.

Next week we have almost 500,000 sf of buildings to inspect. We usually double up on a building, now I have all the guys going in different directions next week. I don't think this pace of work can keep on keepin on....but it's sure fun riding the storm out.

Ah, Dale, it is so easy to fall into "the bankers' trap" when you are making good money without busting your nuts. THEY have you convinced that your life should revolve around the back account. You and your GF have to have a long hard think about what you really want, then move in that direction. Would you be happy in EC if you were a poor person? Weigh the ups and downs thoroughly before you jump ship.

That's the reason I'm still here....I've never seen an economy like what's happening now....NEVER.

I'm going to be 62 in November....hope I can keep going at this pace for just a few more years.
Given I will be 70 in Feebleary, you are just a couple months shy of 8 years younger than me. Do not allow yourself to be a decrepit old phart like me in that 8 years. Be all you can be and enjoy the hell out of life while you still can.

No need, your speaking the truth...no point in deleting the truth.
That is your truth and my truth, but there's also a couple people here who will take it as a political jab, which we promised not to do on this thread.

My work is more of a mind game than physical work, it's a numbers game for investors. Just wish I was one of the investors at times.....

I'm very sad that garden season is over. I still have a few spaghetti squashes left. I'm going to plant lettuce and cat grass soon under my indoor grow lights.
No new job yet. I have to respond to one and I've felt like shit the past few days. I don't tell hubs because I don't want him to worry.

I'm insane to think at 55 and poor eyesight I could do computer embroidery. I would have to get thicker progressive lenses. I'm still debating on it. I'm procrastinating again. I'm really good at it.
Go for it, Sandi...you'll thank yourself I bet....!

I see, hope you can get off that big pharma poison...!
I wish I could take the chance. I took myself off the prednisone back in Jan. Liver doctor thinks I'm weaning off since June. With Stage 2 cirrhosis and stage 3 fibrosis I don't know if I want to gamble a liver transplant right now. I'm going for a liver biopsy in June.
.

Have a good night in here!

@Artemis,
Hi Sandi, want to do your liver a favor?
Drink this every day for 15 to 20 days, your liver will thank you many times over, I do this every 3 months

Gentle Liver Detox:
! & 1/2 oz "real" cold pressed extra virgin olive oil
juice from one organic lemon
4 oz. warm water
a dash of organic cayenne pepper

drink while warm

it will detox and revive your liver and make you feel much better, honestly, try it.
