Ss or brass deck?

About to drop some bones on a battle deck and I can't see a reason not to go with a brass deck over stainless....their is some controversy about brass having some nasty stuff in it but I doubt a .10 dual build gets hot enough to for the brass to heat up enough to off gas anything harmful.

Now I have stopped using my fully copper OG goon because the deck has decided to turn my cotton green after a day giving a weird taste.

I don't want to spend $100 on a ss deck and loose voltage.

What's everyone's opinion on ss vs brass decks?

All my rda are either ss, copper or gold plated(by me) or silver plated. Never brass.

Brass tends to oxidize so I'd personally be hesitant to use it in an application where it's in constant contact with my juice and wicks. Never had anything vape related made of brass, but I've had green hands that constantly smelled of pennies back in my copper tube mech days, and the thought of that metal oxidation leeching into my juice is a gross thought to me. I'd go ss.

I have 2 Carnage rda’s with brass decks. No odd flavors if you keep em clean. I might suggest a silver deck though as a step above brass. Something like the Redemption can be had for around $100.

Yep Brass can give off funky taste as well. does for me.
SS all the way for me.
LOTS more maintenance with brass almost none with SS.

I've got a variety of decks SS, Copper, Brass, Gold/Silver plated, etc. The only funky tastes I've ever gotten are from Clones, a couple of Clone RDA's that were Copper and Brass had a funky taste. The quality authentic's I've gotten like my Goon's and Kennedy's never an issue.

the brass in Chinese vape stuff may be high lead content since there are no regulations regarding what metal can be used in vape stuff. Unlike plumbing stuff.

You get what you pay for and buying clones for whatever reason only hurts the Patent Holder or original manufacturer of the product.

This is a few of the many reasons why I avoid Clones

I have a variety of decks as well. You strike me as a person that cares for their stuff so I doubt you will have any issues with whatever you get. Brass decks and copper decks work just fine for me.

But there is also no regulation on US made attys as to lead content.

One of the shortfalls of non regulated vape world.

foir the most part vape regs only deal with taxes and age restrictions.
Yeah some states/areas are doing dumb stuff...

Nope but if you buy from for example like Kennedy who has a stellar reputation for quality it's a safe gamble IMO.
