I lowered my nicotine level and I'm a blast furnace now.. ?

Hello! I used to vape around 12 mg of nicotine and some time ago I lowered the nicotine level due to throat health issues. My throat is singing now, no more swallowing problems, no more panic attacks that I'd suffocate or any stuff like that and while my throat is singing, my wallet is screaming.
10 ml of juice would be enough for 5 days! I refilled once a day and that was it. After lowering the nicotine level, I refill twice day and last saturday I refilled 3 times!
The problem is.. I find myself having almost the same vaping routine but in 3 weeks I think I was supossed to see a change in adaptation. My vape is also quite malfunctioning, the battery starts to wear out (cheap mod) so I'm thinking that it could be a part of the problem too?
I think I'm either vaping more without deliberately knowing it but I don't want to raise the nicotine level again and in less than a month, I bought more juice than I bought since I started vaping and comparing less than 20 euros a month to 20 euros in 2 weeks, it's really disappointing. Any ideas, please?

That's kind of how it works.
The less nicotine the more people vape.

I would suggest if possible get the next highest nicotine level.

If it's possible you could even give the salt based nicotine a try.
it's much easier on the throat.

Indeed, this is a fact....between my 46mg nic salts in a Pod, and 6mg freebase in other attys, it works nicely.

I would say that for me the throat hit on a 25mg/ml nic salt base eliquid is about equal in throat hit to a 6mg/ml freebase nicotine eliquid.
But that is 25mg on a pod device and 6mg subohm

if you were vaping 12mg/ml regular eliquid if you could find some 12mg/ml salt base nicotine eliquid the throat hit would be like a 3mg/ml regular nic juice.

That would be your best bet if possible.

Welcome @Lone_Dawg and I hope you enjoy your stay~!

Your dilemma is a perfect reason to start making DIY e-Liquids. Initial investment might cost $50 to $70 dollars but divide that by the amount of e-Liquids you will make and probably cost about 5¢ an ML. Good Luck and Vape On Safely...............

Or just don't try to decrease the nic level by such a whopping amount -- if you were at 12mg, you should have gone no lower than about 10mg, for a month or two, then 8mg for a month or two, before trying to get to 6mg. Dropping nicotine levels is very easy, IF your brain can't tell much difference. If it's a substantial drop -- like 12mg to 6mg -- then your brain definitely knows the diff, and yes, you will vape more, because your brain will do everything in its power to get what it needs -- including very annoying shit like cigarette cravings, smoking dreams, etc.

If you're still buying ejuice rather than making your own, it's still very easy: buy a bottle of 12mg, and a bottle of 6mg; to get to 10mg, use 2 parts 12mg to 1 part 6mg, and that will give you 10mg. Then, when you're ready to drop to 8mg, use 1 part 12mg to 2 parts 6mg -- easy peasy. I was doing this shit long before I started DIY, because I never could stand much nic -- 10mg was the highest I could ever use without suffering hours of nausea.

Which is precisely why that moronic idea of making all cigarettes very low nicotine is so absolutely braindead; I can't imagine a better way to get people to smoke MORE. Which might actually be the intention, to recoup lost revenue. But the lawmakers are all much too stupid to realize that.

Can the way I draw affect the juice consumption?
After 4-5 hits I can clearly see that there's a lot of liquid that was consumed and it never occurred to me before

The Kanger T2 is a pretty old tank.

If I remember correctly it has a top coil silica wick coil.

That is most likely the problem.

You may have to upgrade the entire setup when possible.

Do you have access to a decent vape shop?

If you like a pen style device then the battery you have would go well with a Kanger ProTank mini.
I think they are at least up to ProTank Mini V3 by now.

This was a very long time ago for me (2013) but as soon as I switched from the top coil Kanger T2 to a bottom coil Kanger tank like this one I was getting a way better vaping experience.

I'm sure someone will come along and suggest something much newer (and better)
I haven't kept up on the pen style devices.

Well I have a quality vape shop in my town (finally) and I want to buy an Aspire Zelos kit. They showed me the device and it looks like it would please me. I also tried it as a test kit and it seemed just fine.

That seems like a decent device.
Aspire is a great brand too.

It's really helpful to have a quality shop nearby.

Personally I would buy just the Zelos device and an Innokin Zenith tank. Less finicky than the Nautilus 2 and good flavor plus good coil life.

Switched back to 12 mg of nicotine, my vaping routine got back to "normal" and guess what? I still have to buy the same e-liquid quantity. I just refilled, puffed 5-6 times and 0.2 ml of liquid are just gone..
Time for a Zelos kit..
@Letitia9 I like the Nautilus looks more :)

Anything that takes the Aspire BVC coil is a great choice.

They have been around forever so coils are inexpensive as well as easy to find and as long as you buy the 1.8 ohm coils they don't drink juice.

Did we ever find out what atomizer the OP is using currently? I looked back, but couldn't spot it if it was ever mentioned. Though 2 tenths of a ml really isn't all that much.

One of those old things, huh. Can't believe that a) ANYONE can tolerate them, or b) they're still being sold. And I have to admit, in one of those, 2/10ths of a ml is a pretty good bit, but other atomizers probably aren't going to do any better, because it really isn't all that much. But even the T3S is a better choice, because it's a bottom coil.... yet still, those are the very bottom of the barrel in terms of user satisfaction -- the T3S's are good enough to start out with, to get your foot in the door, but definitely not a good choice for long-term usage. They leak, they flood, and they certainly don't provide much flavor.
