Cotton Bacon vs Premade Coil Cotton Question

I’m sitting here on a rainy Indiana morning enjoying some Dinner Lady Lemon Tart and I had a thought, the Cotton Bacon in my Dead Rabbit SQ has been going strong for almost two weeks with no loss in flavor and no gnarly appearance but the cotton in the Pre-built coils I use do not last nearly as long...even the Horizon Falcon coils get nasty after 4-5 tanks. So here’s my question, why does the cotton in Pre-built coils get dirty and lose flavor so quickly while rda/rta Cotton just goes and goes.

I'm guessing cotton in and rda dries out when you vape. Have to drip. Tank cotton stays saturated the whole time

That makes sense. I’ve always wondered why 2wk old rda cotton looks pretty cleaned compared to a used prebuilt coil.

Just a thought, maybe the RDA/RTA/etc has more wicking material so the small amount in the prebuilts wears faster, juice also get pulled through smaller openings in the casting.

Not sure how you get cotton to last 2 weeks. I have to Rewick any rta I have after 3 days..

Pre-built coils that get Chain Vaped can get flooded or dry out which will trash the cotton. Just my thoughts

I use multiple devices throughout the day but I can get a solid 2-3wks out of my Dead Rabbit SQ on a Pulse 80w, I get the same out of a weird Vaporesso rta I have.

Juices high in sweetener and VG tend to gunk up faster. I re-wick every 2-3 days but change flavours maybe once a day so it’s a daily thing at this point.

Also I use cotton bacon and have had better results with it than native wicks. It’s expensive stuff though, waiting on an order of Japanese organic cotton.
