At that hour of the morning??? I was SOUNDLY asleep!!! If you're not working right now, why in the hell would you wanna get up that damn early?

Andria

Built in alarm clock. I'm programmed after all these years to get up and kick the rooster in the butt. I was actually up closer to 3:00am making coffee and cleaning the house a bit.

Gadzooks... I only clean the house under pain of death, or relatives coming over. :giggle: I only get out of bed before 10am when there's a really damn good reason, like payday. :D Or if my insomnia is kicking my butt on the other side of the night -- usually it pesters me with not being able to go to sleep, but now and then, waking up too early. Making me think I'm living in a Stephen King novel. :D

And I'm always doing something around here. I can't stand being still for too long. Always something to do. Dishes, laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, feed or play with my pups, yardwork etc etc.

Edit: Not exactly pups per se, 60 and 70lbs . My kids the way I see it.

Of course they are! Our cats are our babies! And I read something recently that supports that: when cats are kept as housecats, they enter a prolonged adolescence, even if they're of adult age, and it's especially true of females.

Which might explain why our 7 yr old Tuxie hisses like a kettle everytime she lays eyes on the 7 month old kitten Annabel, I guess it's her version of "mean girls." :giggle: But Tuxie has always been emotionally dysfunctional; she was a feral kitten who showed up on our carport, literally starving, nothing but bones, fur, and fleas, so she never socialized properly to humans; to this very day, if anyone other than us enters the house, she runs and hides like she's running for her life. Annabel is a more typical cat, she sees something interesting, she runs to investigate it -- naturally she finds Tuxie FASCINATING, so she runs to her -- Tuxie construes that as being chased, and reacts with extreme negativity. Once Annabel is pretty much full-sized, we're going to stop separating them and just let them hash it out. If Tuxie bats Annabel with her claws, I think Annabel will get the message. :D

:giggle: That's funny. I've had cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, fish, you name it. Cats are most definitely in a class of their own. I'd NEVER have one declawed. Even if the "biscuit making" is painful at times lol. My pups, one is a full blooded Catahoula, he's 70lbs and a rescue. I got him when he was 5 months old. The other is half lab half bulldog. A 60lb mess. Both rotten to the core. They both come in if I'm home and one sleeps at my feet the other by my head. That coupled with a 12ga and a .40? Burglars beware.

His USMC service has been helpful in so many ways -- easy mortgage, his health care (they cured his hep C!), and once, thx to all the USMC stickers on our truck and the fact that he was in the truck, even though our son was driving, avoided a ticket for not moving over a lane when there was a cop car in the emergency lane. :D The cop (GA state patrol) just gave our son instructions and a warning. :)

Good morning everyone. Mandarin kiwi and a hit or two of strawberry biscuit this morning. Need to knock out a few mixes today for both my cousin and myself, getting low. Going to mix some new recipes as well to keep it interesting.
