She asks a few questions, turns on some heavy metal and drinks waaaaaaay too much coffee and the end result is some bad ass coils. This is my second order with her and it was another great transaction.

I mean seriously. Look at this.

Was fun making them, hope the fatties fit in your Titan lol

- if they dont, they'll still be good vapes with a wrap or two off, and they'll definitely fit the postless deck

I would blend an iPad before I blended my vape stuff. I would also be willing to bet that dude has someone tied up in his basement. There is a weird darkness to his smile.

Wow those are beautiful coils. I will do that someday. Maybe you could provide me with a short list of things I would need to get started? I will need a drill I know but other stuff? Not that I will be able to afford it for quite some time. Maybe after Christmas.

All you really need is one or two good fishing swivels, and something to attach the swivels to that's level with your drill's chuck

Some people even make fused claptons and aliens without swivels :0

You need to start doing some YouTube tutorials like Nick Devine does Meg. Seriously.

Did you see the one I did for multicore aliens? I really enjoyed it, I would like to do a few more.

What sort of tutorial would you like to see, first? I think a guide to setting up a build station would be helpful to a lot of people

I did not!

You didn't show up in my searches yet and I didn't think to search specifically for your NAME

I never saw it come up here either. That's great!

Will watch in a minute :)

A build station would be cool and stuff on prep techniques would be really cool too. There are so many different ways to achieve the same thing in that regard. I'm always listening to folks with a lot more experience than myself :)

You did great on that tutorial mag :)

It never occurred to me to Clapton aliens one coil at a time although I've never done one yet.

You definitely need to do more. You are clearly very competent at this art.

Of course it's okay to be nervous when doing something like that, especially at first.

This is an honest question.

How can that 1st set of coils (which look magnificent btw) be 40ga if they're all ribbon? Maybe I'm not seeing right, but it looks like even the clapton is ribbon :)

Sorry for delay, I must have missed the notification :(

Everything on the Inside, the cores and frame, is 0.3 ribbon, and the outer wrap wire is 40g round - I say "all-ribbon" relating to the cores, because typically staggertons have a ribbon/staple core in the middle, and round wire frames on each side, then it's all fused together with high gauge round wire. Hope that clears it up!

It does. Thanks.

It was looking to my aging eyes like the outer wrap was ribbon too and ribbon doesn't have gauges.

It actually does.... but it's kinda silly, I think, for my purposes anyway

I also notice the "round wire equivalents" are close, but not technically "equivalent"

Oh I remember seeing a similar chart somewhere now. Like you say though. Builders never talk about ribbon gauges.
