Where to begin?!?

I've perused these forums and I can't seem to find a good solid basis for starting from scratch. There is a bunch of info and tidbits ... but nothing that starts you at the beginning and takes you through the process. I've done a little googling as well but I find the same thing ... No "Mixing for dummies" type of thing.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative!!

So at the top of this are “stickied” threads all about DIY. Suggested flavors to buy, mixing by weight, stuff to buy.....other than that, there are also stickied things about what to do if your liquid sucks, where to buy stuff, etc on other threads. The info is there.....maybe some more perusing is in order! So much info here, trust me! I learned much of what I know from VU.

Don't have a guide but can make a couple of recommendations.
1. Get a scale. This was a game changer for me.
2. Start by mixing others recipes. It really does help get the hang of things.

The info I was after was all in the mixing by weight thread. I found it not long after starting this thread. For some reason I kept passing over it thinking "There's no way it's in there". I spent a good hour looking through crap and just ignored that one like an idiot. I used to admin a fairly large gaming forums. I KNOW better than to skip stickies. I'm just an idiot ... carry on

We're all just faking it here.....your guess is as good as ours.
