More about Nic Salts

Hi,

I saw a few threads about regular Nic and Nic salts, but i just couldn't find the answer i eas looking for --- or there were too many contradictory opinions (i know ist a personal and subjective thing, but just trying to see if you guys can help me).

I don't like the throat hit my Nic is giving me. Too harsh for the thoat. To pepper, hiddens the flavor. Maybe (and most probably) my the Nic is not good or too old (or damaged in some way).

But it made me think two things:

One: can i use nic salts instead of regular 100mg/ml nic in my juices to vape DTL? I use with regular nicotine juices with 3mg/ml. Can i do this with nic salts?

Two: The throat hit is really decreased with nic salts? (thats sometinhing im looking for).

Three: I saw a few people saying that nic salts make juice taste bad in the first day, and then make it taste bad again in maybe 3 or 4 weeks. Does this happen to someone?

Thanks for all, mates.

Best.

I use salts in my diy and it does not affect flavor at all. I've used both regular salts and smooth salts, both have no th at 12mg. I will continue to use just the regular salts myself. I make juices ranging from 18mg - 3mg for myself and family and we are all pleased with them; I order from Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers and Nicotine River. Prefer the service from LNW but price is the same for both.

Forgot to mention I mix with salts exactly the way I would with freebase and I order either 100mg or 250mg, always pg base. So yes you would enter the same ml/gr in your calculator for 3mg.

If understand it well, in your experience, the NIC salts are better than the regular nic we always used?

I'm trying to find a NIC that affect the minimum, or not affect at all, the tasate of my pre-nic juice. (I mix PG, VG, flavor, taste, and just after that i put the nic).

So, it could be a good idea to me to use NIc salts, if i understand it well?

And about the nic in blood... more absortion in the organism, that salts are good for ex-cigarret smokers, and other things that people say... Do you feel anything like this or as long as i keep my final ejuice with 3mg/ml it will doesen't matter if i put salts or regular nic, correct?

PS: I guess the throat hit im having in the last batch i made is because of a bad nicotine i bought (expired or anhything like that). I live in Brazil, is not easy to find a good suplier.

Thansk for the reply, Leticia.

Sorry if i didn't express myself correct. For example: i make a juice 30PG/70VG withh the flavors i like. I know pg based favors will increasse the PG in the final product, but i dont pass the 15-18% of flavors. (in acctualy i use steam-engine to calculate, to get a real 30/70VG final product, but lets use the written above just for an example)...

After mix the PG, VG and flavor, i taste it.

Just after that i put the Nic.

And the nic i use is a 100mg/ml.

For a 100 ml batch of final juice i pick my mix of PG/VG and flavors and add 3 ml's of this pure 100mg/ml nic.

Did i make myself clear? (Sorry for the bad english, im from Brazil and some times tend to speak like we do in here, so, in the translation, it can get a bit weird) :)

Best and thanks for the reply.

Salts at lower mg is only useful to reduce th imo. That is why they are popular, you can mix salts at much higher percentages than freebase. I notice no difference in absorption rate between the two.

Oh! Got it. Thanks. Here in Brazil i ijust find ONE seller with nic salts. And the "smooth" one. Do you think it might be a problem instead of regular nic salts? Or, if what i want is exactly to reduce throat hit, can i buy it fearless?

Ah! And it is in VG base...

Again, thanks.

I am not familiar with the brand but it being vg base isn't an issue, your calculator will do the math for you. I honestly can't tell a difference between smooth and regular salts so either-or for myself would be fine.

Nice to know. Thanks so much for all.

And about the brands, thats a problem here in Brazil. The sellers buy a big bottle, and put in small bottles with their logos. So we cannot even know what brand we are buying... But, when i was typing this i called the store and the man there said the regular nicbase is Purnic and the Nic Salts are NicVape.

Best.

NicVape in the US doesn't carry salts. Might want to look up the company from your end. Could be more than one NicVape or they may be making their own salts.

The above is true, there will be little difference between fresh freebase and salts. Frankly I don't believe you can fix peppery nic even with max vg and 20% flavoring.
