So My Kids are cleaning the living room they destroyed ... and I'm sitting here being the foreman. I'm not much for TV. So, while I play warden and continue to motivate the inmates with threats of the trash can and toys ... I pick up this fat naked stick I have laying around, and the leftover 38g decore and start hand wrapping. 5 minutes later we have this -->

How is that zerker? I've been considering it's MTL RDA brother.
The berserker is awesome on flavour, it has a tight draw, when you wick it right. This thing is phenomenal . The down side. Wick too much, it dries out, wick too little it floods. It takes a few tries to get it right. I dont know about the MTL rda. This is the mtl rta original. I dont use it often, but when I do. And the wick is correct. It is amazing.

Good to know. I love a good tiiiggghhht draw, if that's what I'm hankerin for. And the wicking ... sounds a lot like my Smok rta. If the wicking isn't just right your screwed

52g Framed Staples....I tried going 54g, I got them coiled and then I noticed a ton of screw ups looking under a lens....So I dropped down 2 Gauges and tried again.
Installed in the VXVTech X RDA (its like a Mini Version of the Dead Rabbit RDA)

Specs: 5ply .3R N90/28g SS/52g N80

It doesnt look as tiny when the magnifications is so close...but 42g with the same magnification looks massive, Ill leave a shot to compare the 52g and 42g with.

Remember those staples in the center are 46g....and look how large those babies look in comparison. I think the size of the Framed Staples also throws off the "feel", they are about the same size as the staples in the middle of the wires just above...

52g Framed Staples....
I did some 48g plain staples last night with 12 ply 0.2 ribbon. It was late (I was tired, but wanted to make them) and the wraps didn't come out very consistent. Should have gone to bed and waited until today to make them. But that's okay, they were made for performance, not coil porn. I made 3 of them for a triple coil install in the Titan RTA using the postless deck going on the Titan PWM.

It is a pain in the ass to get it clean, I kept having the wire back on itself repeatedly. Out of a 12" length those coils were all I got out of it cleanly and Ive been working for a week on this stuff, I havent dared to vape any of the high gauge builds....I keep thinking of the wrap burning off and going into my lungs :D

For some reason, I can work with 48g a lot easier than 50g. It's like once the wire hits 50g it loses it's cohesion for me. I have 52 and 54, but those snap if I even look at them. I need a smoother work surface before I try using them again. Maybe pick up a small sheet of plexiglass or something similar at Home Depot.

Hey Raymo. What would you say 52g framed staples vape like in comparison to let’s say 40g framed staples? Its amazing you can use the 52g without breaking it!

Here's a better pic using the Nikon with the Sigma macro lens (the others are with my phone). Still haven't learned the proper F-Stop settings for a better depth of field.

e3eKp29.jpg

mZBC82q.jpg

For more stuff in focus use a larger number Fstop, the detail is less but you will have more in view per shot. I use a lower number (6-8 Fstop) and shoot more for stacking. I tried 33 Fstop a while ago for a macro shot and I got it all in focus, but the lighting on the image was very dark even with ISO400 and the setting before BULB in Shutter Speed....it wasnt as nice as F14 and 6 pictures stacked.

I really want to get some 57g from Kingorchid and made a simple 2 core SFC....thats my end game with these high gauge stand offs on IG. One high gauge build to rule them all :p:D

@Shredtravolta I personally wouldnt vape anything with wrap higher than 46g, as I said before...its a health risk IMO

Let me tell you a story ...

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away ... Shit no that's not right ...

When I jumped into building a few months ago I signed up for instagram to get inspiration and learn from others. One of the first builders I found to follow was a man called @snappy_vapes (now @snappy_builds). He was always encouraging to me, as I found most people in the building community are. One day he posted this RAD coil. I had no clue what it was or what it was called ... but I thought, "When I can do that ... I'll have 'made it' as a builder!" Well folks ... today is that day!! I present to you ... a ribbon stitched hedgehog

PicsArt_09-20-05.47.59.jpg

It's not quite what I want. I would prefer some .2 ribbon, which I don't have. And the decore is a smidge big for the fraple under it. But hot damn this is a sentimental occasion for me :D

Thanks!! I don't know if I've made it or not. It's just kind of a goal/milestone thing that I've been looking forward to for a while now.

I would love to get in on the superfine stuff. But I'm barely comfy with 42 yet. Give me some time and I'll work my way up there with you guys. In the mean time I'll sit back and watch the show!
Fucking awesome congrats mate!
Thank you sir! The fact that you said f**k is actually kind of heartwarming :D
