My dad was third generation Navy. I read that the Navy banned vaping on all ships.
Yea - you heard right. My Dad was also Navy. He joined when 17 because of Pearl Harbor. I was Air Force. My son is a Sailor currently stationed in Southern Japan. He's mentioned the angry vapers from ships they service at their harbor.

Hats off to your son @Absolute-Wood. I have several current active duty pals in the Navy stationed in Southern Japan. I also believe we have a VU member stationed in Southern Japan. Not sure if I should call him out or not.

My uncle was in the Air Force. I liked to hear his stories about that time. He told me during training they'd run. Smokers could take a cigarette break but if you didn't smok you had to keep on running. So he started smoking. I think he was serious but I don't know really.

I remember the smoke breaks - LOL. I trained for several weeks before boot. Actually gained weight and lost some physical gain at first. Too funny. Other than being rushed, chow hall was like a Hometown Buffet. Chocolate milk & soft serve ice cream included - no kidding. I was ParaRescue, but didn't see any real action.

My Dad had some crazy stories - torpedo attacks, kamikazes, seeing an apparition of a Sailor in a hatch that was lost the day before.

And of trading posts one day with a buddy - my Dad was a quad 40 gunner, the buddy shot another anti-aircraft gun. A battle occurred, and my Dad's gun and buddy were taken out that day they traded.

We can't thank our vets & active service members enough. But, we can make those serving happy vapers -

That is so awesome dude. See, even people not on VU want to get down on this. I am glad I ordered a lot of boxes to package these into because from the looks of things we are going to need them. You guys are going to laugh your asses off when you see them (I think), we will find out tomorrow.

Also as an aside and an important one to me. This is not my doing, this is our doing. All of us combined, these boxes were born of the VU community, for the service members within the VU community.

Its a small wording distinction, but an important one. Every single person contributing or cheering is what made this happen. There are or about to be 20 + little packages making their way from all over the US to a single point. That are in turn going to be curated into two large boxes to hook up a couple of folks big time. That is the work of a village.

Think about that for a minute. I wanted to give away some plastic bottles and commercial juice on Saturday and have some fun. Now in a little over 48 hours it has turned into 2 boxes worth several hundreds of dollars worth of vape stuff of all kinds with prizes from multiple sources for both contributing and the unknown folks being sponsored, some of the best recipes a person can mix from some of the best mixers on VU. All for the benefit of people we have never met. Its pretty cool if you really think about it. I didn't do this. We did.

Whats extremely funny about it, is I still haven't managed to rid myself of a single Chubby Gorilla bottle. My wife is going to suffocate me in my sleep.

You did tell military folks in the OP to keep quiet

I was under the impression I would get to try other's DIY - since originally you offered us opportunity to take juice out. I wasn't expecting to take out whole bottles of DIY but I was expecting to at least drip a few to check them out.

It's cool, though, that this is now solely a team PIF/random drawing thing. I will send my mixes when I get opportunity (have to reorder a flavor) - but that will be 1-2 weeks

I was expecting more time via the box passing around before getting my poop together, I'm still in - but I might be tardy
Actually, this is also a great idea....the DIY trading thing. I would be willing to start something like that. It would definitely be a boon to people who don’t have the flavors....or money to buy the flavors.....to try someone else’s stuff. See if it would be worth buying the flavors necessary, etc.....I don’t know....anyone interested in something like that?

Like today I bought the stuff for boss blonde caramel and have no idea what it tastes like. I've heard great things though. And if noone has tried the Struberry custard they need too. Delicious custard vape.

@CrazyChef v2.0 @geoffd and @Vape Fan marked as shipped and documented. There are now 7 packages that are or about to be on the road. I will be taking a wheelbarrow to the post office this weekend to fetch it all and will update the thread once received so everyone know it has been inventoried.
Will be shipping mine today as well

Thoughts?

Got a dozen of them. They are small and I think they are fun.
I think they arrrr pretty cool. Burger & Fries? Nice little "wooden" pirate chest. Surprise bags of goodies for auction perhaps?

Speaking of wood, and Pirates... cannonballs, gunpowder, explosions...

Did you know there is an Amazonian Rainforest tree commonly called the Sandbox tree. Sounds nice...playful. Named so because many years ago, the dried fruit casings were used as small bowls to hold sand for ink blotting before blotting paper. Sounds pretty innocent, right?

WRONG! It has a dark side, as evidenced by it's other nickname "The Dynamite Tree". Not a friendly tree at all. It's trunk is covered with needle sharp spikes. If that's not enough, it's fruit can kill you! It's poisonous for one. You don't have to eat it though - it can "attack" you from as much as 50 feet away...

The fruit dries in preparation to release it's seeds. This drying produces enormous pressure within the fruit. The fruit "explodes" with a bang sounding like dynamite. It hurls it's spear tip looking seeds at up to 150 MPH, and over a 60 foot distance! Anything unlucky enough to be near is in peril. They are too dangerous to be planted practically anywhere.

Speaking of exotic woods - I was recently web surfing, and I was on a site and counted much more than 72 items made with various exotic woods. No Dynamite wood products though! Hmmm....72 items
